The Power of a Seed
According to a study at the University of Richmond, we have squirrels to thank for millions of trees.
This fun fact led me to ponder the power of a seed. Did you know that every seed dies to live? The outer shell, called the seed coat, breaks open during germination so the inner embryo can grow into a seedling. In the case of an acorn, the developing root pushes out of the seed and will grow into a beautiful oak tree.
This seems to be a theme in the Kingdom: "We must die to live."
Well, pardon me w...

Good News on Good Friday! 🌻
On this Good Friday, I sit in the somber truth of Isaiah fifty-three:
"He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him."
I don't know about you, but thinking of what Jesus did for us on the Cross is gut-wrenching. And it should be, for it was for freedom that Christ came to set us free. There was great cost involved. Thankfully, this wasn't the end of the story.
Join me as I sit in awe of what comes next:
"By His wounds we are...

The Delight of my Heart 🌻
Also called the love hormone or the cuddle chemical, Oxytocin, alongside other neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, has a powerful impact on our well-being as it carries chemical messages from one nerve cell to the next.
Isn't it amazing? Our Creator formed our DNA with the very gene designed to find delight in Him.
I love it when science catches up to God's word. The word "delight" and its variations appear approximately 110 times in the Bible.
The Hebrew word for delight is "anog, " mea...

The Lord's Delight
Hey, Ya'll! Welcome to Fun Fact Friday. My name is Eve, and this is my week in writing. Grab your favorite beverage, and let's take a journey.
Today's Fun Fact:
The Lord delights in you and rejoices over you with singing.
There is a scripture that speaks a beautiful promise over God's remnant of Judah, and through Jesus, the Lion of Judah, to those who believe in Him: "The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you,...
My Week in Writing
I love to take long walks through t Hi! I'm Eve, an author and encourager who loves words and The Word. I am a daughter of the King who believes in God's great Love and His desire to draw us near Him.
I love to take long walks through the garden of God's creation with the Master Gardener and find the little blessings He leaves for us. It is my prayer that you will, too.
My favorite things are playing board games with the Fam, singing sweet tunes of inspiration, writing, and helping others find freedom in Christ as they realize He loves them. My passion includes helping the next generation find Jesus as we encourage them that they were made for such a time as this. May we all bloom where we are planted!
