Three Hundred Years
Who is in your life?

Have you taken inventory of the people God has blessed you?
Some are teachers, others are encouragers, and still, others serve to sharpen you. Yes, even those rough around the edges.
I was taking inventory of the existing conditions of a job site when a gentleman walked up to me. You could tell he had been around the construction industry for a while and had the resume to prove it. I was a green young woman in a man's world. Or so I thought.
As I was taking notes on my tr...

The Lady in 26E
This weekend I ventured on my quarterly quest for a health update.
The air was brisk but the sun shined bright. I delighted in the resilience of the daffodils as they shined in the light and the Cherry blossoms that welcome spring's reveal.
These trips are quick. Fly out Sunday and fly home Monday or Tuesday. In between is a flurry of activity including checking in and out of hotels, finding food, tracking down Vlad, getting bloodwork and sitting in a machine as the colorful lights tell my do...

Divine Appointments

The Two Janes
I am not a proponent of coincidence. The closer I get to the Lord, the more I witness God in the midst of every circumstance. He is consistently connecting dots that we often miss.
I am at one of favorite places. As I flew out for the NIH yesterday, I found myself at the end of the terminal where I was able to ooh and awe over the planes taking off.
After what must've been 100 pictures, I chose to sit down. It wasn't ten minutes before a young woman and her friend sat down next...

Love Anyway

Is the world antithetical to the Gospel or is the Gospel antithetical to the world?
In John 15 Jesus said: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”
IN A WORLD OF HATE WE ARE CALLED TO LOVE
Truth be told, we live in a world of extremes that create conflict within us. Jesus said, if we were of the wor...

Story of a Seed
Once upon a time a seed fell along the path. Having nowhere to grow it was quickly swooped up by a hungry bird.

Another seed found itself among rocks. Joyfully finding a patch of soil in which to grow the resulting plant would soon be discouraged when the sun arose and scorched it.

Another seed would be planted among thorns. Just like rocky seed it too found a patch of earth in which to grow but as it grew the thorns of life choked it out.

A fourth seed found itself in an exquisitely manic...

Passing Peace

Paul told the Ephesians that when we regularly pass the peace we practice God's call to make every effort to maintain the bond of peace.
After Jesus' resurrection He appeared to the disciples with a blessing and a call "Peace be with you. I am sending you."
This call extends to all followers of Christ. And it's a blessing in it's purest form because when you pass the peace of Christ you are sharing Him- blessing another and receiving a blessing as God's conduit of peace- in every interaction....
My Week in Writing
I love to take long walks through t Hi! I'm Eve, an author and encourager who loves words and The Word. I am a daughter of the King who believes in God's great Love and His desire to draw us near Him.
I love to take long walks through the garden of God's creation with the Master Gardener and find the little blessings He leaves for us. It is my prayer that you will, too.
My favorite things are playing board games with the Fam, singing sweet tunes of inspiration, writing, and helping others find freedom in Christ as they realize He loves them. My passion includes helping the next generation find Jesus as we encourage them that they were made for such a time as this. May we all bloom where we are planted!
