There are so many quote board entries I cannot put because they are talking about other people. It is downright sad.

Listen to Part 1 of The Author for free today!
I really wanted to release the audiobook of The Author on Podiobooks because I have heard such great things about them but, unfortunately, they can only do an all or nothing scenario with this book. In other words, unless I give them all four parts at once, they cannot put the book on the site. This is a huge pain in the buttocks.
When I started doing this project, I very much wanted to do the "serialized" part of serialized audiobooks so having to wait until the whole book is done wasn't...

On Perspective and rewriting the past
I was chatting with an old friend on the phone a few years ago and I asked if she was planning to go to our high school reunion. She was going to be out of town anyway the date it was being held but she followed her answer up with, "Besides, Hill, high school was a horrible experience for me. You probably don't understand this because you were really popular but high school was total hell for me. I never want to see those people again."

Mistress Novel is going well
You will recall that I am cheating on my novel with a new novel. We are going to call this new one the Mistress Novel. It makes it sound all seductive. 
I went through the whole beginning and mucked with it today so the word count is not as high as it could be as it includes some rewrites that actually reduced the word count. I know I said no more going back and rewriting until everything is done but I took the time to map out the entire book and the sequel to it this week so i wanted to make...

In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, flying is described as throwing yourself at the ground and missing. Isn't that what writing basically is? Making a ridiculous leap, which is, essentially, something very stupid to do, and, by some miracle, making something other people might want to read?
We don't know how to fly, any of us, before we start. The only way to learn is to just make that jump
