The Love of Three Oranges is the #1 top story on The Lumberjack Log
If you follow me on Twitter, I actually discussed this a little already there so I am a little late to the party in posting this on the blog as this article was posted on June 2nd (where does the time go, I ask you?).
The Lumberjack Log is an online high school newspaper that currently has The Love of Three Oranges by yours truly as the #1 featured story. R. A. High School in Longview, WA performed the play back in May of 2009.
The article is really adorable. The website is only half-set up so I

Who said “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain” ?
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” -Anonymous
So, I heard this quote for the first time today and just wasted all this time looking up who said it to attribute it properly. If you are wondering the same thing, let me save you the time.
The short answer is: no one.
This is a popular motivational poster saying and so the original author was some poor chap on staff at whichever poster company decided to print this up first and slap this qu

a rambling, overtired novel status update
So I haven’t updated you on the novel in a while mainly because I haven’t had time to work on it in ages. Tonight I decided sleep be damned and finished my work early so I could work on my novel.
Let me tell you, the last few weeks have been awful. First, I got sick for 2 full weeks and then addicted to Afrin so I couldn’t breathe (that is totally a real thing and scary as hell, let me tell you). Then my work totally changed over their system overnight so I had to learn a whole new system which
Today is my Friday
Yeah, I know. It’s Thursday. But since tomorrow I am going to visit my grandparents for Father’s Day with my parents, it might as well be Friday because I’m not going to do any work tomorrow.
My brother has a floating schedule where he gets two days off a week, but not necessarily Saturday and Sunday. He refers to every day of the week, however, not by its actual name but rather what it would be if he got Saturday and Sunday off. If he has off on Wednesday and Thursday, he refers to Tuesday as “F

Mom’s latest metaphor mixing
My Mother: Would you like to come over for dinner tomorrow? I’m making Admiral Cho’s chicken.
Me: Sure, but, just for the record, you mean General Tso’s chicken, right?
My Mother: (in a panicked voice) I. . . don’t. . . know. . . what I mean!
“He’s not the brightest tack.” -Mom, yet again mixing her metaphors
I love this woman, people.
And because Mom has been monopolizing the quote board:
Me: (making a wrap, asking for more lettuce) Can I have a little more?
Husband: You don’t want more. That’s poten

OK, now that you have seen both of them, I’d appreciate your weighing in on which one you liked better. (If you watched Julianne when I first posted it, watch it again as I figured out how to up the quality significantly so it’s a lot clearer now.)
Which one did a better job of grabbing your interest? Which one worked better? Whose voice do you enjoy listening to more? Any feedback that you want to offer, please be my guest.
If you haven’t seen the videos yet, here they are again:

Second Teaser Trailer for my book The Author: Eugene
I am please to present the second teaser trailer for The Author.
The visual is exactly the same as last time so don’t get too excited. The difference is that this time it’s from the perspective of Eugene. Getting this one done was a bit of logistics nightmare because my Eugene lives out of state but we got it done and I think it isn’t half bad.
Please watch below and let me know what you think. Comments and YouTube star ratings are much appreciated.
