Sometimes a webadge is worth 50,000 words or NaNoWriMo Winner up in here!

It was a hard earned battle this year but I finished one full YA novel and over 50% of a second one so I am going to call it a win.
Too burned out to write much more now, I will digest this all in greater detail tomorrow. I did the last 10K in less than 24 hours while fielding a work crisis so I think I deserve the rest of the night off.
I hope all your novels went well and that you at least met your own personal goals if not the 50k deadline. It's been a pleasure noveling with...

Sometimes you just stare at the blank page/word document and pray for words. . .
. . . and sometimes you have more ideas than you have time to write down! Psyched you out there, didn't I? You thought I was going to write about writer's block.

I know, I'm an ass.
I finished my NaNo book and was going to move onto something else when I suddenly came up with an idea to add to what I had already planned for the sequel and that idea, in turn, opened up a whole world...
NaNoWriMo Update: Past 40K and under the gun!
My characters are killing each other again. Well, trying to kill each other anyway. It's a bit of a major plot element that keep failing at it.

NaNoWriMo Update: 75% and back to the same book…sort of

I stole a few minutes today to write a little more while my husband was mucking about with Windows 7 on my new computer (more about the new computer later which is my first new computer since college so I am very excited about that).
I am at the 75% done marker! Well, at least, I am on my wordcount calculator. Apparently the potato is using a different system of rounding so the heck with him.
You know how I said I was leaving my book for now and going to write something else to finish NaNo...

Holy crap, I finished! (The book, not Nanowrimo)

So here we are at a mere 35k words, nearly 36k and still a good 14k plus away from winning NaNoWriMo and I am done with my book. I was freaking out about this a few days ago when I realized that the book was going to end too early but I don't think it's as much of a reason to panic as I did in the beginning.
In the beginning of the book, I was very, moving on, moving on, through all the non-action parts and I think we could go back now and take a little more time with...

We have somehow killed yet another microwave
When we were in college, my husband was called down to the campus's Newman House because the microwave was broken and fixing stuff in the house was his job. "Broken" in this particular instance meant that every time you opened the microwave, it turned on.
Let's repeat that for emphasis. You would open the microwave and it would automatically turn on and start to shoot microwaves out at you.
Needless to say, not good.
Well, perhaps inspired by having heard us retell this story so many times, our ...
