in which Hillary learns that everything always takes longer than she expects it to. . .

Let's start this off on a positive note. Where are we on writing mojo?

7%!!! I know that probably seems very small to you but that seems very large to me. Considering we are only 11% ish done with the year, I am darn close to being on pace.

But the potato is in distress because my writing, it mocks me.

My health, it also mocks me as I have been battling and unpleasant cold which I hope to finally get over this week. For a few days there I really hated life but I managed to work through it...

Verizon and I are going to throw down. Their new required $9.99 data package can kiss my ass.

This was going to just be a Facebook status but Facebook said it was too long so I'm posting it here instead.

So, I'm up for a free upgrade on my cell phone a full 2 years ago. Still haven't been able to find a phone I like even after 2 years, they all have those stupid keyboards that make them twice as thick. Whatever, my old phone is still awesome, so it's not a big deal, I can wait.

My phone finally breaks (volume button breaks off but the thing is 4 years old and that is the only thing...

Loving Write or Die

I just had a few minutes while Steve checked his messages so I decided to use good ole Write or Die to journal as my character to work out this part I was stuck on.

I think it worked! Stay tuned. But I highly recommend using Write or Die to get some writing in during anytime you have a few extra seconds between things.

[image error]I start every sentence in this blog with "So." I'm really trying to break myself of this habit. I tell you this because I desperately wanted to write "So" just then.

I kinda want to write "so" here as well. Gah! Understand that every sentence below that does not start with the word "so" took massive effort on my part. Also, apparently Peter Gabriel has an album called "so." He and I are now in a feud.

A few days ago, I created this writing challenge for myself. Just about every writing book r...

"Frankenstein Mistress Novel"'

OMG, you guys, I wrote a book! Remember that? It's actually mostly terrible but parts of it are awesome and I know how to fix the terrible bits. I think.

You guys! I wrote a book that has the potential to not be terrible once I work on it a whole lot. How cool is that?

My To Do list today says, amongst other things "Frankenstein Mistress Novel." My husband looked at it and asked what the heck that meant.

It means: Take all the random hacked up bits of Mistress Novel that are in all different d...

Finish the book. Then worry about everything else. Seriously!

I wanted to take a moment to highlight this fantastic tweet from Anita Doreen Diggs. You can follow her on Twitter here @AnitaDiggs

Finish your proposal (nonfiction) or manuscript (fiction) before worrying about agents, Kindles, e-books, the book tour, etc.

There is this fantastic Garfield comic strip (you know, the big fat lasagna eating cat) that some day I will remember to scan in and post here but, in the meantime, I'm going to just have to describe it for you.

In the first panel, Garfield ...
