Happy Friday!
Wizard was off work yesterday for Independence Day so I’m all confused on the days of the week now. But we had a great day. I worked in the morning, then we swam and made steak and lobster for dinner. The kids went to their various girlfriends and fiancée’s houses and we were fine with that.
This weekend I have to work. On the upside, I was talking with an author friend whose writing schedule is worse than mine and that made me feel better. If she can do it, so can I (maybe, LOL!) I may see if Biker Witch has time for coffee or lunch this weekend too. But I really have been having too much fun (and eating too much!) and need to get back to the grind!
So how was your Fourth and do you have any weekend plans?

Cover Reveal & Wednesday Worthy!
Many of you know I belong to a group of authors called Rock*it Reads We are a collective of authors who are both traditionally and indie published. Three of us; myself, V.K. Sykes and Juliana Stone have published sports romances and done well individually. In fact, V.K Sykes hit the USA Today list. So we got together and decided to contribute one of our sports romances into a super hot bundle. Introducing…
PLAY HARD
Three sexy sports romances that bring the heat!
I’m excited to join with these talented ladies in this endeavor. These days, self published authors can work together to cross promote and support one another. But it’s also a way for readers to get a taste of new-to-them-authors for a reasonable price. For me, it’s a pleasure to introduce my readers to both V.K. Sykes (who also write as Vanessa Kelly), and Juliana Stone. I love working with them on this project and hope to do so again in the future!
PLAY HARD will be on sale July 15th. I’ll keep you all up to date.
Now lets switch gears to Wednesday Worthy. I’m trying to find new models, so here’s my latest discovery:
So what do you think?

Weekend Roundup!
Too. Much Fun!! That was our weekend. Well, Sunday was Fun Hangover and Clean Up Day, but the graduation pool party on Saturday rocked!
First off, the guy who catered the taco bar was fantastic! He came, set up, cooked and served beef and chicken tacos that were beyond awesome. Everyone loved them! He really was the hit of the party.
Now Wizard is claiming that Taco Guy was his idea. Umm, NOT!! Actually it was Middle Son who booked him for me. It was also Middle Son who graduated with his B.A, and his cousin (my lovely niece!)
The desserts went over well. I make Kaluha Chocolate Pound Cake, Lemon Pound Cake, Raspberry Hearts and a double batch of brownies. Someone took pictures of all the desserts but I can’t figure out who it was, so all I have is one batch of the Raspberry Hearts after I made them (not even a good picture):
It was miserable hot but the pool water was bath-water warm, and utterly perfect! Once we ate, I changed and went in. I don’t care what I look like, I just wanted to swim and have fun with everyone. So I got in and CPA Son (Oldest) warns everyone, “Careful, my mom is a shark in the water.” Total exaggeration on CPA Boy’s part. I’m an okay swimmer, but I never bite
But my team did win in Pool Volleyball! Sure we were in the shallow end and the losers were in the deeper end…but all that matters is that we won!
It was an awesome day. I’m so proud of Middle Son and his amazingly smart and beautiful cousin. What I particularly love is that they were so proud of each other they wanted to share their day together with a combined pool party. Plus since my sister-in-law and I worked together to organize and prep for the party, it was even easier.
Now I am back to work. I have over a 100 pages of junk words, I need to get this book pulled together.
How was your weekend?

Happy Friday
Tomorrow is the graduation pool party, and it’s going to be HOT here, around 108. We were hoping for something more like 90, but nothing we can do about it. I hope it goes well. Today, I’m running around doing all the prep and baking. I’ll let you all know on Monday how it goes.
So what are your weekend plans?

Weekend Roundup
Busy weekend! First we went to the condo that oldest son and Finance (aka her new name is Special K cause Wizard and I love her that much!) are buying. They were having the inspection done, so Oldest wanted Wizard there. We love the condo, it’s cute and has tremendous potential! They did very well!
Sunday I went shopping with a good friend and she helped me find a dress. Trust me, this looks better on:
Wizard wasn’t sure until I tried it on. It’s basically a dark taupe color and should blend with pictures fine. Special K told me to just find something comfortable, that she truly doesn’t care. So I did She’s not pretentious at all, which means their wedding and reception is going to be fun and fabulous. Oldest is a very lucky man. The wedding isn’t until the end of August but now I don’t have to worry about the dress!
I do have to worry about cleaning up my diet
I have to tell you, while shopping I saw a guy that I swear was a UFC fighter or something along those lines. We were leaving Macy’s, chatting away, and a man wearing shorts and a tank was walking toward us.
Holy Muscles! This guy was huge! Extremely well proportioned and I was stunned. Totally forgot what I was saying. He had tats on both arms that just accentuated his incredible physique. When I recovered my ability to talk, I muttered to my friend, “Way to rock the ink.” This isn’t even my normal speech, but seeing that guy picked me up out of my life and dropped me right in the middle of Sloane’s world from The Plus One Chronicles.
No response from my friend.
So I looked at her, worried that maybe I was imagining it? The book is heavy on my mind so perhaps I’ve finally snapped and now I’m seeing characters from my books? ”Did you see his arms?”
Her wide, unfocused eyes hit mine. “He had two, right?”
OMG I busted up laughing. And felt better. I don’t stare and I tried hard not to stare this time, but the guy was like walking art. I know what it takes to cut extreme muscles like that, and the fact that he was proportioned meant he knew what he was doing. It wasn’t ogling, it was sheer appreciation. I wanted to stop and ask him all about his training–but you know, that might be weird. As in super duper creepy weird
I made a tad bit of progress on my book but man, I’m fighting for every single tiny step forward.
Enough of me. How was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
At dinner last night, Wizard said, “June is nearly over.”
Freaking out, I said, “I can’t talk about it. I’m screwed.”
“Seriously? I’ve been at work all day. I’m going to need more details on how you got screwed.”
“Shut up.” Don’t judge me, I panicking. You really don’t want to know how incredibly stupid my process is. It involves writing frantically and then cutting it all into a delete file until I flood my brain and body with so much fight-or-flight adrenaline, the story breaks loose. My process sucks.
Wizard is amused now, realizing that I’m even more panicked than he is (he’s under a lot of pressure at work too) He smirked and whispered, “The month is nearly over.”
I lost it. “Stop it! Or I swear to you I will never, ever make you a cheesecake again. Ever. Next Father’s Day I will make you Brussels sprout pie and make you eat it.”
He sat back in his chair, crossed his arm and pouted like a two-year-old. But he didn’t say another word. Score for me! Then he went to the gym, the big baby.
In other news, I went to my RA doc and he’s helping me with the headaches and other issues. Again all boring stuff but at least the headaches are better. I’m really grateful for that.
This weekend, I’m going to dress shopping! I made actual plans with a friend for Sunday so I have to show up. I’ll let you all know how it goes!
Do you have any weekend plans?
And FYI you can listen here to the very casual radio chat I did with Renee from Canned Laughter and Coffee.

Wednesday Worthy
Last night I did a little 15 minutes spot on the radio show Canned Laughter and Coffee with Renee Bernard. It was fun, but she totally carried the show. All promo should be that fun and easy! I didn’t have to pitch my books or any of the usual stuff that gives me migraines. Once I have a link to the show I’ll share it.
Now that all the promo on POSSESSION is done for now (yay!), I’m trying to get deep into writing OBSESSION. No one want to talk about my super annoying process so let’s not.
I need to go hunk shopping soon but since I haven’t done it yet, we’ll do something a little different for Wednesday Worthy. We still have a hunk, but he’s on the cover of ROGUE MOON, Silver Jame’s latest release in her Moonstruck series!
I bought my copy yesterday, you can get your copy at Amazon here
I don’t need to ask you all if this guy is worthy because he totally is!
So let’s change the subject. In addition to hunk shopping (that’s a real thing. Seriously. It is!) I also need to go dress shopping for oldest son’s wedding this summer. I know this because every time I go have my hair cut (and colored!) my hairdresser reminds me. Last time she threatened to take me shopping herself. Wizard even went out and bought new clothes for the wedding and now everyone is starting to look at me like this might be important.
I’ve seen a picture of the bride’s dress and it’s gorgeous. I can’t wait to see her in it! So who cares what I wear?
Oh crap, something just occurred to me. Do I have to wear nylons too?

Weekend Roundup
Oldest son came to spend Sunday (Father’s Day) with us to hang out, eat Mom’s cooking and swim. We had a blast. Unfortunately the other two boys had to work, but we’ll see them in two weeks when we have Middle’s college graduation party here.
Oldest is a CPA and we were going over some financial stuff and having some business discussions when he said, “I should read The Plus Once Chronicles.”
To which I said, “No.”
Stunned, he’s like, “Why not?” (His a big reader when he has the time, and we often read the same books.)
I explained. “You’re not old enough.”
“Really?” He raised an eyebrow at me just like Wizard does. ”And when will I be old enough?”
“When I’m dead.”
After laughing at me, he said, “How bad can it be?”
“Let me put it this way, I tagged it as Erotic Romance.”
The face he made? PRICELESS. I laughed at him and changed my attitude. “Go ahead, read it. I dare you.”
Oldest decided to go to talk to his dad for a while. Seriously, when will these boys learn that Mom always knows best?
So how was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
Happy Father’s Day weekend! Tomorrow we’re going to Wizard’s mom’s house and Sunday we’re staying home. It’ll be a nice weekend!
I’m still trying to get this headache thing under control. Wednesday was better but it came back yesterday. I’m really sorry, but I’m just not a great blogger today. I’ll do better on Monday!
What’s everyone else doing this weekend? Any special plans for Father’s Day?
