Weekend Roundup!
The weekend was good! And bad due to uninvited guest–ants. I lost hours of work time dealing with the ants but if that’s my worst problem in life, I’ll take it
In good news, oldest son CPA Boy and his fiancée Special K bought a condo. It’s older but has an awesome layout and we’re so excited for them. They have a few weeks before the wedding/moving it to do some cosmetic renovations to it. Wizard spent Saturday helping them (along with Special K’s awesome dad) while I stay home to work and battle ants. Sunday I got to go shopping with them for appliances and just share in the excitement. I’m so thrilled for them!
So this weekend, Wizard and I get in the car, and Wizard says:
“Can Sammy (his Samsung stupid phone) sit with Siri (my super cool smart iPhone)
I recoil in horror. “No! Siri hates Sammy.”
“No she doesn’t. Siri sneaks downstairs to cuddle with Sammy at night.”
“Does not! Siri’s a good girl.”
“Oh witch, please. Siri reads your books! She’s a total hussy and wants Sammy. He’s a bad boy. All good girls want a bad boy.”
Sigh…Siri is now on restriction because…OMG what if Wizard is right? Is it possible….my phone is a hussy that chases bad boys?
In case you’re wondering, we actually have these conversations.
How was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
I might be a little stressed. This is what happened when an organized brain (seriously, my RA doctor actually diagnosed me with an “organized brain” because we have strange conversations like that) meets an unorganized writing process. This, however, is not what I’m going to talk about.
Nope this is about Wizard. Who totally recognizes that I’m teetering right on the edge of Full Blown Crazy Town and laughs at me. I don’t know why this is funny to him, but I amuse him endlessly. Or if he thinks I might be sliding in Dangerously Crazy, then he shoves glasses in wine in front of me because Dangerously Crazy and Wine mix, right?
Where was I?
Oh yeah. So…last night we had dinner, and I was doing dishes when Wizard calls out from upstairs, “Witch come quick! Drop what you’re doing! Hurry!”
So I take my hands out of the soapy water and grab the towel–the same towel that only seconds before I had laid my sharp knives on after washing them. They flew across the kitchen floor. None hit me, I was fine. But crap, I hate when I do stupid stuff like that. I have hurt myself that way in the past which ticks off Wizard to no end.
“Witch! Please!” Wizard calls out.
So I’m thinking, wow, forget the knives, go save wizard! I run up the stairs and find him looking out the front window. At something that look exactly like this:
(The bird, not the turtle) It’s a great egret and a great white heron or something roaming in our front yard. FYI, the lake is not in our front yard, but we do have a lake pretty close by.
“It’s a bird,” I feel the need to point this out.
“It’s huge,” Wizard points out.
“This is what I flung knives across the kitchen to save you from?”
That got his full attention. Wizard is downright snarly about me and knives. ”You what?”
“Nothing.” I tried to beat him down the stairs to pick up the knives but he caught me.
“You were serious. ” I deleted the expletive from that sentence . He was working up to being really mad.
So I smiled at him. “I’m putting on my blog that you’re afraid of a bird.”
“Am not.” He turned around and stalked out the door to wash the car and forgot about his anger.
FYI, later when I told him I put this on the blog, he just smirked. Now I’m worried. Was that an indulgent smirk or I”m-going-to-get-even smirk? Either one is entirely possible with Wizard.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Wednesday Worthy
Busy week! First up, I’m holding a contest for a $15.00 e-gift card to Amazon or B&N to three winners who review PLAY HARD. You can check out the contest here.
And then yesterday, quite by accident, I found out that THE BABY BARGAIN, written under my Jennifer Apodaca name, is temporarily on sale for 99 cents. I have no idea how long this will last, but you can check the price at Kindle or Nook to see if it’s still happening. It’s a great deal! I’m pretty sure Entangled told the authors on the loop, however, I’ve been no-mail on all my loops. So I have no one to blame but myself.
Now lets go onto Wednesday Worthy.
I like this one because he looks “real” to me. How about you?
Review Contest!

Weekend Roundup
There was a weekend? LOL! Saturday morning I got up way too early so I could worry and fret. Then while Wizard and I were cooking breakfast, he says, “Tell me.”
“What?”
He gives me that husband look, “You got up before five. Spill it, Witch.”
So did. I told him that I am stuck in a hellish version of the movie Ground Hog Day on the OBSESSION. I explained it’s a major turning point that spins the book and the entire series on a path toward the end. All the time I’m rambling, I know I’m just confusing him. This is the last book in a three book series. How could he possibly help?
Why do I underestimate the man I’ve been married to so long? Wizard started asking questions and sure enough, came up with a really good idea. So there we are in our kitchen, so involved in the discussion that we both forgot to finish cooking breakfast. When we realized that I’d forgotten to start the eggs and he’d forgotten the toast, we laughed.
Eventually we managed to pull breakfast together.
Around a million things going on this weekend, I’ve written pages and feel better now. I just wish I could have done this two weeks ago. But writing is always more fun under pressure, right?
In other news, we liked our new dentist
And PLAY HARD Anthology is out everywhere except for iTunes. Here are the links:

Happy Friday!
Shh, this is early, so don’t tell anyone, but PLAY HARD Book Bundle is being uploaded! That’s 3 previously published sports romances, including THE PROPOSITION bundled together for 99cents. This is the B&N Nook link The Amazon Kindle one should be up today. I’ll give you guys all the details on Monday.
Tomorrow Wizard and I are trying a new dentist that’s closer to home. That’s pretty much our big weekend plans. Well Sunday he has some fun plans, while I get to stay home to clean and work. I’m getting glimmers of ”Oh, there it is, the story!” Then it slips away before I can catch it. Only to pop back up when I try to do something really insane like sleep. The other night I was making notes on my phone at 1:30 am. Let’s hope it pays off!
I’m also going to read Talon/ Xavier the third release in Laura Wright and Alexandra Ivy’s Bayou Heat Series! I love these shapesjifter books!
What are your plans?

Wednesday Worthy
I’m pretty sure I’m going to go to the RT (Romantic Times) Convention next year in New Orleans. I’ve never been to a RT Convention or New Orleans, so it should be fun! I mean I can’t possibly get into trouble in New Orleans, right?
Is anyone else going?
Now for our Wednesday Worthy Candidate:

Weekend Roundup
Good weekend, but almost no writing because someone had a serious case to Car Fever. Now to be fair, we’ve been planning to buy a car for about six or eight months. Our car is getting up their in miles and it’s time. So someone finally got serious.
And in case you’re wondering, it wasn’t me. I’m a whiner, as in, “Do I have to deal with car salesmen? Please, I’ll be bake you anything you want if you just don’t make me go be nice to salesmen.”
Wizard acted annoyingly rational and reasonable. “”So you want to deal with car repairs instead?”
“Fine.” So Saturday I went to lunch with Biker Witch then had to cut that short so Wizard and I could drive miles and miles to a dealership and engage in Bait and Switch. It was ridiculous and we walked out. We don’t engage with cheaters, just saying.
The next day, we find a car for the price we want, deal with professionals whom I actually liked (no whining!) and we got the car. Wizard’s Car Fever is now temporarily in remission.
So I thought after dinner I’d have a few hours to work. But then while doing dishes the sink clogs. I’m mutter. “Crap that’s not good.”
Wizard walks in from outside because he has bionic hearing when I screw up. “What’s not good?”
“Sink’s clogged.” And I know why so I fess up. ”I put potato peels down there.” He’s told me not to and I always scoop them in the trash instead, but we were talking about the car and the good experience we had buying it, and I wasn’t paying attention.
His reaction? “Did you?” Seriously that was his reaction. Then he takes the trap apart, cleans it all out (POTATO PEELS PACKED IN THERE!) and puts it all back together.
So I know I screwed up and said, ”I’m sorry I know better.” (I have this compulsive need to confess, it’s one reason I decided against a career in crime).
He shrugs as he carries the towels to the washer and says, “Easy fix, don’t worry about it.”
The funny thing? When he screws up, he’s furious at himself. But when I screw up? He laughs and says no big deal. Although once he thinks it’s safe, he’ll tease me mercilessly. But he never gets mad.
So that was our weekend. How was yours?

Happy Friday!
Wizard was off work yesterday for Independence Day so I’m all confused on the days of the week now. But we had a great day. I worked in the morning, then we swam and made steak and lobster for dinner. The kids went to their various girlfriends and fiancée’s houses and we were fine with that.
This weekend I have to work. On the upside, I was talking with an author friend whose writing schedule is worse than mine and that made me feel better. If she can do it, so can I (maybe, LOL!) I may see if Biker Witch has time for coffee or lunch this weekend too. But I really have been having too much fun (and eating too much!) and need to get back to the grind!
So how was your Fourth and do you have any weekend plans?

Cover Reveal & Wednesday Worthy!
Many of you know I belong to a group of authors called Rock*it Reads We are a collective of authors who are both traditionally and indie published. Three of us; myself, V.K. Sykes and Juliana Stone have published sports romances and done well individually. In fact, V.K Sykes hit the USA Today list. So we got together and decided to contribute one of our sports romances into a super hot bundle. Introducing…
PLAY HARD
Three sexy sports romances that bring the heat!
I’m excited to join with these talented ladies in this endeavor. These days, self published authors can work together to cross promote and support one another. But it’s also a way for readers to get a taste of new-to-them-authors for a reasonable price. For me, it’s a pleasure to introduce my readers to both V.K. Sykes (who also write as Vanessa Kelly), and Juliana Stone. I love working with them on this project and hope to do so again in the future!
PLAY HARD will be on sale July 15th. I’ll keep you all up to date.
Now lets switch gears to Wednesday Worthy. I’m trying to find new models, so here’s my latest discovery:
