Happy Memorial Day

Today we should all (in the states) take a moment to remember those who have  served to keep us safe. And also think about those who have paid the ultimate price, injury and death, to keep us free.

Now for my promise to get a picture of Bailey. I tried!  I have pictures, but they aren’t good ones. All my outside shots, he turned away or looks odd.  However, I’ll keep trying. I was only supposed to have Bailey for about four days, but now that’s turned into a week. Middle Son will be lucky to get him back! Anyway, here is Bailey waiting for me to finish writing this blog. Speaking of Bailey, last night I was in the kitchen making tacos, and I hear Wizard, ROARING. Not yelling, but roaring, like RAWR. He and Bailey were playing tug of war.  I cracked up. When Bailey first came into our lives, Wizard didn’t want to touch Bailey’s toys, now they are buddies.

In other news, POSSESSION has release on Kindle, Nook and Smashwords. It’s up for pre-order on Kobo and will deliver tomorrow the 28th.  iTunes/iBooks should go live any day now. I’m very excited about the early reviews, especially after the weeks of utter agony as I finished the book.  So THANK YOU to the readers! I love, love LOVE Kat and Sloane  but these aren’t easy stories to write.  But I love doing it, and the reader response makes every anxious gut-churning moment worth it!  I do want to remind everyone that this is a serialized trilogy, and readers should start with The Proposition 

Lastly, I’m starting the Possession Blog Tour today.

I complete forgot to set up a blog yesterday! I spent last night working on the “publishing” end of Possession, getting it set up on the sites, etc. I still more to do today. Plus BLB is coming by and I’m meeting my sister in law for lunch to plan a graduation party.

Bailey’s coming Saturday! I can’t wait to play with him.  I’ll have more to post on Monday! Right now I’m heading out to the gym

So what’s everyone else’s plans for the long weekend? Are you reading any books books? I just finished ROCK WITH ME by Kristen Proby. I liked it a lot, although that last third seemed to slow down.

Wednesday Worth & Promo

Hi all! First, for all of you in Oklahoma, I hope you and all your loved ones are safe. What a horrible tragedy. My heart it with all of you.

I’m writing blogs and getting ready for a blog tour next week. So yesterday afternoon Wizard called me just to chat because he wouldn’t be home until late. But as soon as he found out I was writing blogs ( not my favorite thing to do, except for THIS blog which is super casual) he got off the phone. Immediately. That made me laugh. Men are such babies.

And I’ve invited a “friend” to help me do a little promo and be our Worthy guy today (he’ll look very familiar, I invite him here a lot, LOL).

Weekend Roundup

Notice anything new? It’s my redesigned website Imagine my surprise when–after working straight through the weekend without checking email or anything–I logged on and saw the new design, LOLOL! My web designer has been busy!

So…one more week until POSSESSION comes out! And it looks like I’ll get it up by, or at least close to, the 28th of the month.  After endless days of work, I  sent POSSESSION off to the formatter last night.  I’m hoping the book is good At this point I’m way to close to it to know for sure.

Next weekend, Bailey Dog is coming out! Middle son is bringing him out Saturday evening.  I can’t wait to see Bailey or Middle Son. I’m actually going to take some time off (Hush, Wizard, I know you’re shaking your head and saying, “That will never happen.” But I am–really!)

It’s been a nice change to have a little down time. Biker Witch (my sister) came over Wednesday, we hung out and went to lunch. That was all great, but the waitress annoyed me.  As soon as Biker Witch and I sat down, right there in front of my face was a picture of chocolate cake.

I tried to look at the menu, but that cake picture kept enticing me.

So finally I ordered grilled chicken and a salad. Because….chocolate cake.

After we finished our lunch, the waitress  barely stopped long enough to drop off our check and vanished without asking if we wanted anything else.   So I took this a sign from my hips and thighs to forget the cake.

My will power is astonishing like that. Amazing. I really should have a fan club for my will power. Right up until Biker Witch left my house and I ate the last two (big!) chocolate chip cookies I had left over from Mother’s Day.

Will power lasts about as long as chocolate around me. And worse? Wizard came home, and I told him about eating the cookies. He laughed and said he saw chocolate cake in his future anyway because once I get a craving, I can’t resist baking.

Ha! I’m so going to resist!

And back to Biker Witch–she’s having way too much fun working with the dogs at her volunteer job. I’m so jealous!

As to the weekend, shhhh, I may be working since I’m getting my manuscript back from the editor, but don’t tell Wizard. I told him I was taking the weekend off So what are your weekend plans?

 

 

Wednesday Worthy

How can May be half over? Incredible and scary!

I finished the revisions on POSSESSION (book 2 of The Plus One Chronicles) and sent the book to the editor for round 2 on Monday. Hopefully everything will work out as it should to get the book up around the 28th.

To celebrate the upcoming release of POSSESSION, book 1,  THE PROPOSITION  is now 99 cents I think the price has changed at all the e-retailer now.

But today I’m not working!  Biker Witch (my sister) is coming over and I’m excited. I’ve been wanting to show her my counters etc.  We’ll probably just go to lunch and hang out.

Weekend Roundup

Had a fast weekend! Mother’s Day was nice, oldest son and fiancee came out and we had breakfast. So great to see them. Talked about the wedding and they are looking a buying their first home. So much fun!

Otherwise I worked. I only have to finish the end today and the book goes back to the editor.   I love Sloane and Kat so much, I justice hope I’m doing them justice in book 2, POSSESSION.

I so ready for a little freedom from work thought! All work and very little play (or sleep) is not good.  Anyway, once I send this off, I’ll be around more to answer comments and such. (And Viki, thank you for the tips on granite! I knew about the cleaning products but not the bottles with oil in them).

Wednesday Hunk

Okay we’re going to bring back a classic guy today.  Mainly because I have zero brain cells right now. All I’m doing is working or eating  Although I did talk to middle son last night and he asked me if I’d take care of Bailey at the end of the month while he goes on vacation.  Any guesses what my answer was???

Weekend Roundup

I’m missed Friday’s post, sorry! Everything went like clockwork getting the granite in. Here is the kitchen in the morning before the guy got there. (All the drawers out and the bottom cupboards emptied)

And after it was all done, including the new sink and faucet (my old sink had a massively ugly chip in it for a decade or more):

I love it! This exceeded both my and Wizard’s expectations! We waited and saved for a long time, and planned to do this when BLB was injured.  But all the work involved wore us out. Wizard has a cold on top of this.  I have no choice but to keep going on Possession since I’ve lost days of work. Doesn’t matter, I love the book so it’s all good.  Although I did stop long enough to make brownies.  Which, by the way,  I do not need! I can’t get to the gym enough as it is, I don’t need to add brownies in the mix.
