End-of-year news and new year news
It’s been a while since I last posted here! I have a loooot of news to catch up on, so brace for a long post. Some of this won’t be news depending on if you follow me on social media or subscribe to my newsletter, but I wanted to collect it all here anyway.

Ever-evolving
If there’s one thing you can say about the publishing industry with certainty, it’s that everything is constantly changing. However, this year has been particularly turbulent. I’ve mentioned previously that we authors have been having a hard time with problems with Amazon this year. Many authors had sought refuge from those problems by using a distributor called Pronoun.
Unfortunately, yesterday we learned—very abruptly and with no warning—that Pronoun is shutting down. Very soon. And the shu...

A thank-you gift for my readers!
Happy September! We’re just twenty-six days away from the release of Cheerleaders From Planet X! The response to this book has been absolutely phenomenal, guys. I never could have imagined there would be so much enthusiasm for such a weird little story. As a writer, it’s seriously the greatest thing ever.
Which is why I want to give my readers an extra special thank you. You may already know that I ordinarily get some special swag made up for paperback orders of books placed through my store....

Status Update
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, so I wanted to give you all an update on what’s new with me.
In April, I met with my endocrinologist and we made some changes to my medication that have helped a lot with controlling my seizures and minimizing the accompanying brain fog. This helped me get out of the slump I’d been stuck in since February—I’ve had a much easier time concentrating, my energy levels have been better, and I’ve gotten a lot of work done during the last several months,...

Cover reveal: The Shape Shifter Chronicles
I am so excited to be sharing a very special quadruple cover reveal today! One of my dearest friends, Lauren Jankowski, also happens to be an author, and she is rebooting her urban fantasy series, The Shape Shifter Chronicles, this fall! All four of the original books in the series are getting re-released this Halloween with brand new content that is helping her stay truer to her vision for the series, and I’m so excited for her and for the new books!
To celebrate, she had all-new covers made...

A confession and a new strategy
I tried a few different ways of saying this, but I’m going to keep it brief because it’s unpleasant and I just don’t like talking about this on the internet.
My health has gotten very bad over the last two months. Not bad like I’m going to die, just bad in that I am not able to function. I am still learning how to navigate my life with unpredictable health, and I’ve not been doing a good job of it. I keep thinking I’ve got it figured out, that I can predict how this illness is going to work a...
