The Little Things...

The smallest things in life often create long-lasting harm. Thorns, needles, burns, careless words… But their strength is often over-estimated. Because the smaller these problems are, the easier they are to remove, heal, or avoid altogether.

Believe...

Those who already believe in something need no proof. Those who want to believe in something demand it. Either way, they're both deluded. Because the world is an illusion so intense that castles really are being built in the air.

Good...

Simply not doing anything bad to others is in itself an act of doing good to them.

"Parent Studies"...

There should be an official and mandatory "Parent Studies" class where kids get to learn from the mistakes their folks committed in their early years. They can then figure out how to avoid repeating those errors themselves. The kids can also learn the manifold characteristics that make their parents amazing and thus enhance their own positive traits. After all, parents are a child's first teachers. Besides, kids inherit some of the good as well as the bad from them anyway. A class like this conducted every day, even at home, will help parents mould their children into the best versions of themselves. The parents' own adult experiences will serve as the curriculum to nurture, guide, educate, and motivate their own flesh-and-blood. Add the contribution of grandparents and you have yourself a genuine legacy worth building.

Hurt...

If it hurts in any way to be around someone, stop being around them. You don't dip your hand in acid or place it in fire simply to give such elements a second chance at not harming you.

Mimic...

To an actress or actor who gave an outstanding performance as a character who later earned the respect, love, and admiration of millions of fans, to watch some of those same fans imitate that selfsame character is considered a great honour.
Interesting irony, a mimic gets mimicked.

Synthwave...

Some of us can hear the words: 80s Synthwave. Those who know, know.

Linguistics...

I always found the names 'peafowl' and 'peacock' to be inadequate as names worthy of the magnificence of the bird it represents. The Sanskrit word 'Mayura', however, holds not only a wealth of linguistic meaning but also captures the bird's beauty. In Tamil, though, that word sounds similar to a colloquial slang term that's anything but beautiful. Yet somehow, in some strange way, that Tamil slang for 'hair' has close symbolic parallels to the Mayura's long and majestic hair-like feather strands…

Welcome to "Crazy Linguistics", class is in session, kindly take your seat and, in a rather ironic twist that defies the very spirit of this course, you'll have to remain silent until the end of the lecture.

Monsoon Woes...

"Hey Alexa, find inflatable boats on Amazon."
[Alexa voice]: "They do not have any in your region."

[writes email to Jeff Bezos]: "Dear Mr. Bezos, Climate Change inspired weather events demand adaptable approaches. With some parts of Chennai seeing record rainfall that has not been witnessed in more than 70 years, and is not natural given select meteorological factors… Look, all I'm saying is you need to start selling inflatable boats, colour-coded life jackets, waterproof body armour shock-proof padding, swimming flippers, scuba gear, and maybe a few well-trained crocodiles and sharks to Tamilnadu, bro. We're gonna need it. Also, you can make a lotta bucks. It's a win-win!"
Yours sincerely, a weirdo in Chennai staring at rising water levels.

Dead...

"Do you sometimes feel so dead you can't move let alone find the motivation to do anything, really?"

The second corpse in the ancient ruin did not answer.
