Biopics...

Biopics are valuable and groundbreaking movies, because they connect the current generation with the lives and truths of the legends and inspirations who came before. With all the amazing biopics being made in foreign cinemas, I feel it is time we took the reins and created a bunch of our own. We’re practically spoiled for choices! One biopic each for yesteryear legends like Sivaji Ganesan, MGR, Manoramma, Saroja Devi, Nambiar, M.R.Radha, Gemini Ganesan, Sivakumar, Muthuraman, and my grandfather C.K. Nagesh of course. Then there are blessed writers and directors like M. Karunanidhi, K. Balachander, and so many more. If the industry wishes to start with relatively modern names, they have access to gifted contemporary talents like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth, and more, so many more. Even one of these biopics – scripted properly, well-researched, and produced right – will establish a lasting cultural identity for Tamizh Entertainment, and the "makkal" (citizens and people) who directly influenced the growth of this industry and boosted the careers of some of the biggest names in Tamil cinema.

Prime Minister Ceremonial Styles...

It will be interesting to have some of our brilliant Indian fashion designers create a ceremonial turban for Prime Minister Modi. The design can incorporate a Mayura (peacock) feather either artificially made or picked not plucked from the national bird, a sliver of faux-fur Tiger skin fabric, some enamel pins depicting the Indian flag, the lotus symbolic of the PM's party, and perhaps a sacred cow, and not to forget Lord Ram's flag (from the Skanda and Kurma puranas), or Mahadev Shiva's trishula. Such a turban will give our nation's leader something distinguished to showcase on the world stage. Plus, the pins can be re-accessorized to suit diverse themes and settings. When the PM visits TamilNadu for a major event, for instance, his unique ceremonial turban can adopt a few pins emblematic of Tamizh culture, including one that symbolizes our Dravidian language. Fashion has, after all, often made a power-statement, and helped silently unite people.

Disaster Movie...

There still isn't a great natural disaster movie or series in the Tamil entertainment industry. Such a story will be one of the fastest ways to communicate the Climate Emergency to not only Tamizhans and everyone residing in TN, but also the world. Using the latest tools and tech, we can rely on accurate statistics and analytics to write a credible script about how Chennai and TN may look after global sea water levels rise. It can include as many artists as we need whose separate story arcs can combine into one unified survival story. The creative possibilities are vast! Besides, this future is not in doubt, it is guaranteed to happen in less than 50 years if we don't create relevant frameworks before then. Plus, many people will enjoy, I'm sure, watching me drown in one of the scenes. So, I'm ready if you are.

People...

Odd but true, people pray for help because of what other people did to make the situation worse. Inspiring but just as true, how other people help when some people pray for it, and they help despite the situation. Such strange complexity plagues but also blesses the human race.

Lies...

This world is held together by lies and it will destroy itself if the truth ever comes out.

Entertainment...

One of the first things that reach people living all over the world are the movies and shows made by different nations, and different regions within them. The art we create defines us. It sets standards not only for our own people and culture but also invites a certain quality of admiration and respect from others. Anyone who thinks about or sees a region, people, or culture in real life will often judge them based on what their entertainment industry produced. That's why even though the U.S. or the U.K. or most other international hubs are not truly as glamourous or perfect in real life, many a foreigner believes as much thanks to their movies and shows.

Parents...

The day you lose faith and trust in your own parents is the day you lose faith and trust in the whole world and everyone else in it.

Climate Change...

It's time we pushed the boundaries to see what we can technologically accomplish towards Climate Change. Most people who can make a difference are satisfied crowding the boundaries instead. Some of them are even putting up fences.

"Je ne sais quoi"...

It's captivating how the French have a word for NOT having a word to describe something. They promptly say, "Je ne sais quoi." It inherently means something mysterious, indescribable, too complex to use just one word for… But loosely translated, that phrase simply means 'I don't know what'. Gotta love the French.
