You are the miracle, you are the mutation. | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
You are the sum of all science,
You are the life of all poetry.
You are the end to animosity,
You are the answer to conspiracy.
World’s light comes from your light,
It comes from the sacrifice of the few.
If these few ever became selfish,
Whole world would drown in dwindling dew.
You are the miracle you seek in church,
You are the gospel you seek in bible.
You are the reason behind civilization,
You are the mutation out of the jungle.
You are the life of all poetry.
You are the end to animosity,
You are the answer to conspiracy.
World’s light comes from your light,
It comes from the sacrifice of the few.
If these few ever became selfish,
Whole world would drown in dwindling dew.

The First World War (Sonnet 1501) | Abhijit Naskar | 100 New Earthling Sonnets (First Drop)
There are bigger villains than Adolf,
But they are not deemed villain
so long as they do white man no harm.
Two world wars count for nothing, compared
to the struggles of the rest of the world.
You only hear of two world wars, not more,
Because world history is actually white history.
White welfare has always been default human welfare,
Like today we humans deem animal welfare secondary.
Even the world map as you know is one big lie,
depicting an exaggerated size of the global north.
Rather than arguing over the planethood of Pluto,
How about you right the wrongs right here on earth!
Endeavor as human and reclaim your humanhood,
Work for actual human welfare, defying white denial.
There never was a world war, there was only white war,
The first world war has just begun, against violation.
But they are not deemed villain
so long as they do white man no harm.
Two world wars count for nothing, compared
to the struggles of the rest of the world.
You only hear of two world wars, not more,
Because world history is actually white history.

Dutybound (Sonnet 1315) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets (Now Out)
To treat disease you need medical license,
To treat injustice being human is enough.
To fly a plane you need pilot’s license,
To lift up society being human is enough.
To talk to computers you gotta learn coding,
To listen to people being human is enough.
To build a shuttle you need rocket science,
To build a society being human is enough.
To analyze behavior study neuropsychology,
To accept people being human is enough.
To practice law you gotta pass the Bar exam,
To practice humanity being human is enough.
To make it rain on land in drought,
you gotta seed the clouds with dry ice.
To make it rain on hearts in drought,
just lend a hand, and smile without price.

Ancestry is Garbage (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
DNA test may reveal your ancestry,
But there is no DNA test for character.
IQ may reveal deficit in logical aptitude,
There’s no IQ test for excellence or genius.
If bloodline dictated destiny,
We’d still be dangling from trees.
Not that we’ve done much better,
But at least there is possibility.
In the end we are all monkeys,
We all come from the jungle.
Question is, have we conquered
the jungle that lurks in our heart,
have we risen yet above the animal!
Ancestry is garbage, IQ is useless,
Living humans don’t rely on such nonsense.
Heart, brain, backbone, these make who we are,
Everything else is mythology of the savages.

The world is swarming with snakes, In your soul brews the antidote. | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
“The world is swarming with snakes,
In your soul brews the antidote.
Churn your doubts, burn your dread,
One gentle gaze sanitizes the cosmos.”
“They ask me, why aren’t you still properly known in the mainstream! Well, the Himalayas have been standing for 40 million years, yet it’s only in the last century that humans first climbed Everest. They are oblivious of me, because once you get addicted to the transcendental terrains of the Himalayas, all your superficial little molehills will crumble to dust.”

Truth involves peeling the veil one layer after another. | Abhijit Naskar | Esperanza Impossible: 100 Sonnets of Ethics, Engineering & Existence
“Esperanza Impossible Sonnet 5
Our whole life we’re taught to live behind the veil,
It is forbidden to even dream of removing it.
To really seal the deal society calls this tradition,
So that we feel guilty if we cross our ancestral limit.
This is how habits are proudly passed on as heritage,
And bigotry as the highest form of enlightenment.
Thus, integration is deemed as the ultimate treachery,
And peace remains a matter of armchair amusement.
If you are to choose between tradition and humanity,
I say, treat your ancestors as children not sage.
Those who pass on division and discrimination,
Deserve neither seriousness nor allegiance.
Truth is not the journey from one veil to another.
Truth involves peeling the veil one layer after another.”

Truth is the terror | Abhijit Naskar | Esperanza Impossible: 100 Sonnets of Ethics, Engineering & Existence
“Esperanza Impossible Sonnet 2
Truth is the pandemic,
Truth is the terror.
My truth versus your truth,
Your truth versus another.
We speak of truth as if it’s a constant,
We chase it as antidote to our insecurity.
Most of our truths bring not understanding,
We cook up truth to fan our self-centricity.
Truth, in truth, is the opposite of stagnation,
Contraction repels all hope for understanding.
Truth is not a fixed point, but an act in motion,
Truth is the courageous act of a mind expanding.
Hence, to seek security one must not seek truth.
To seek truth, with security you must cut all truce.”

Miracle and Migraine (Sonnet 1370) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
“Miracle and Migraine (Sonnet 1370)
Words are my leisure,
Words are my life.
Words are my gift to thee,
Use ’em wisely for light.
Kind words cost us nothing,
Cruel words will cost us all.
Faith in people costs us nothing,
Systemic mistrust will end us all.
It is common knowledge in the circle,
I don’t control words, I get visions.
However, every miracle takes its toll,
Hence, the migraines are getting worse.
I don’t mind, so long as I am ointment.
You keep the magic, I’ll keep the pain.”
“There is nothing supernatural about visions – or to be more accurate, contrary to traditional belief, it’s not messages from some extraterrestrial domain. Visions are indeed messages from a mysterious realm alright, but like the everyday realm of human perception, the transcendental realm as well is creation of brain chemicals. I won’t go into details here, as I already did that in my early days. One of my earliest works, Autobiography of God, contains a detailed analytical account of the neurobiology of transcendental experiences. However, the question is not whether there is an explanation, the question is, is it worth explaining! Because, while sometimes the lack of explanation facilitates superstition, some things are better left unexplained – such as, love.”

Assimilate all, alienate none | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
I am the world I want to build,
I am the human I want to inspire.
I am the mind I want as neighbor,
I am just a glimpse into the future.
Assimilate all, alienate none.
Be the unbent explorer of illumination.
Be the pilgrim of living piety,
Celestial passenger you, go find a mirror!
I am the human I want to inspire.
I am the mind I want as neighbor,
I am just a glimpse into the future.
Assimilate all, alienate none.
Be the unbent explorer of illumination.
Be the pilgrim of living piety,

Mission over Recognition (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
Let me show you what is
action without expectation!
What is it to do your duty,
without regard for recognition!
Quite often I lose count of my works,
Yet I’ve never had a fancy book launch.
I write in silence, I release in silence,
I have no relation to praise and applause.
I am the peak of humanitarian literature,
All without an ounce of support or award.
I am not a writer, I am world reformer,
My first concern is an integrated world.
Whatever happens next, know that it had
nothing to do with the making of a mission.
It’s easy to bask in the glory of the sun,
not so much to fuel solar combustion.
