Lives to Serve Before I Sleep

Lives to serve before I sleep,
Cause service is my salvation;
Wounds to heal before I sleep,
Cause time is wailing for absolution;
Bridges to build before I sleep,
Cause too many walls are raised already;
Peoples to unite before I sleep,
Cause civilization is trembling and walking unsteady.

Shackles to shatter before I sleep,
Cause corruption festers in the stagnant norm;
Labels to erase before I sleep,
Cause they've only confused our global dorm;
Sects to humanize before I sleep,
Cause segregation has weakened the human bond;
Blades to burn before I sleep,
Cause they've turned the world into a bloody pond.

Tears to wipe before I sleep,
Cause the society is lost in fun;
Homes to heal before I sleep,
Cause ego has wrecked the nests a ton;
Biases to alleviate before I sleep,
Cause bigotry has outweighed compassion;
Purity to pour before I sleep,
Cause all are chasing petty gratification.

Spirits to lift before I sleep,
Cause the minds are running dry;
Gods to build before I sleep,
Cause orthodoxy makes humanity cry;
Wars to end before I sleep,
Cause no life is expendable and puny;
Humans to raise before I sleep,
Cause where humans act human there reigns harmony.

If No One Comes, Walk Alone (A Sonnet)

If no one comes hearing your call - walk alone,
For the price of rigidity is greater than the cost of a fall.
If no one comes hearing your call - speak alone,
For the price of silence is greater than the cost of a scorn.
If no one comes hearing your call - reason alone,
For the price of prejudice is greater than the cost of loneliness.
If no one comes hearing your call - think alone,
For the price of bigotry is greater than the cost of feeling groundless.
If no one comes hearing your call - dream alone,
For the price of conformity is greater than the cost of failure.
If no one comes hearing your call - act alone,
For the price of inaction is greater than the cost of alleged misdemeanor.
If no one comes hearing your call, o brave titan - carry the society on your own,
For peace, progress and harmony are caused by the acts of the one alone.

Give me your identity, I'll give you unity.
Give me your nationality, I'll give you humanity.
Give me your sleep and comfort, I'll give you assimilation.

Slogan For Humanity (The Sonnet)

Let's slogan for humanity above the cacophony of politics.
Let's slogan all together for the people and not bookish morality.
Let's slogan for humanity above the drumbeats of bigotry.
Let's slogan for the souls in misery and not nationality.
Let's slogan for humanity above the foghorn of policies.
Let's slogan cause we are responsible, not cause we’re aggressive.
Let's slogan for humanity above the siren of world peace.
Let's slogan being peace incarnate beyond all doctrines illusive.
Let's slogan for humanity above the noise of traditions.
Let's slogan all together trumping all worship of sects.
Let's slogan for humanity above the gunshots of authoritarianism.
Let’s slogan as just, free and brave beings, not loyal subjects.
Awake and Arise my sisters and brothers to slogan for all of humankind.
We are the light and we are the might that's needed during this ominous tide.

Rise I Will (The Sonnet)

Every time there is darkness most foul,
I will burn to bring light, sight and might.
Every time there is misery unbound,
I will churn my soul to outpour delight.
Every time the horizon turns gloomy,
I will rush to the aid as a sentient soldier.
Every time the world is infected,
I will walk the alleys as a living sanitizer.
Every time there is savagery on the rise,
I will be the beacon of human alliance.
Every time bigotry overpowers the minds,
I'll be the call to resuscitate fallen conscience.
I am not a person but a sentience beyond time.
Rise I will always in crisis to fortify my humankind.

Mad Wind (The Sonnet)

Turn into a mad wind,
And blow away the rigidity.
Now the savagery must end,
To do that we must rise as almighty.
Turn into the monsoon rain,
And wash away all sickness.
Whenever a crisis arrives,
We must step up shredding all weakness.
Turn into a purifying wave,
And smoothen the thorns of argument.
Whenever rises differentiation,
We must become the bridge without bent.
The world is unstable and feeble with insecurity.
We must be its strength offering our soul as stability.

Wipe Out The I (The Sonnet)

Once a person gives up all for others,
They'll achieve everything worth achieving.
The art of self-discovery is in self-annihilation,
Whereas self-obsession only causes suffering.
Once a person is insane with the sacrificial spirit,
They'll know the meaning of civilized sanity.
Once a person feels the joy of selflessness,
All worldly pleasures will turn into foul vanity.
Once a person hones the power of simplicity,
They'll trash all trace of pomposity from life.
Once a person senses the valor of humility,
They'll discard all arrogant divide.
Life is simple, but we mess it up with selfishness.
Wipe out the I, and you will taste its sweetness.

Sonnet of Identity

Tell me O Mississippi,
What is my name?
For I lost my sense of self,
In line of service without gain.
Dear mountains of Blue Ridge,
Where did I come from?
I fathom not the worldly titles,
I deny narrowness as the norm.
Character makes the person,
Not pedigree and tradition.
If I can lift even five lives,
That’ll be my highest salvation.
So forget that I asked about my identity.
Service is my culture and my nationality.

Law of Sacrifice (The Sonnet) | Şehit Sevda Society

The more you give life,
The more you'll have life.
The more you give light,
The more you'll have light.
The more the I gets lost in others,
The more you'll end all bigoted strife.
The more you take pain for those around,
The more you'll know the joy of life.
Worst of all superstitions is selfishness,
It keeps an animal from becoming human.
Let the mind be cleansed of all self,
So our heart becomes a mirror for every person.
Reject all selfishness that makes you cold and blind.
Sacrifice is the law behind all love and light.

In Work Be Restless (The Sonnet) | Mücadele Muhabbet

In work, be restless,
In love, be limitless,
In care, be oceandeep,
In service, be selfless.
In virtue, be skywide,
In justice, be incorruptible,
In integrity, be unbending,
In honor, be uncompromisable.
In culture, be without walls,
In courage, be endless,
In compassion, be senseless,
In character, be borderless.
Life's too grand to be wasted in gutter.
Expand your heart and you'll rise higher.
