Beware of Guru.com Providers Who Are Less Than Professional
Beware of guru.com providers who are less than professional. I am not saying all guru.com providers are unprofessional, but some may be. Be forewarned therefore when dealing with guru.com providers or any other service provider online.
Some years ago, I foolishly contracted with a guru.com web designer that way overcharged me ($4,800 I'm ashamed to say, 50% of which was required up front - a sizeable paycheck before rendering any work - not advisable when dealing with guru.com providers in my opinion) and provided poor service never delivering the quality of work requested and expected:
http://www.guru.com/emp/viewquotes.as...
http://www.guru.com/freelancers/SEO-S...
The guru.com job was never done, poorly begun, and the company pocketed over $2,000 or more of my money.
The moral and lesson to be learned is don't assume guru.com providers are experts just because they say they are. Don't assume guru.com providers are ethical. Don't assume you are safe with guru.com providers because you think somehow guru.com can intervene if something goes wrong and get you your money back.
Guru.com did intervene to a degree, but only got me at most half of my money back, the rest went into the pocket of a provider that didn't really deliver what was asked (and of course guru.com likely took a small piece of the pie).
Now having been on other sites and dealt with others besides guru.com providers, I know for a fact I got ripped off by this guru.com provider. But what angers me the most is guru.com knew and could see I was being ripped off clearly, but stayed quiet and let us "mediate" the matter rather than ensuring the utmost consumer protection against fraud and deceit.
The age old adage, buyer beware still applies, even when you are buying online through guru.com providers and it looks like there is a company overseeing the process. Remember guru.com (and any other company) overseeing exchanges and services online, takes a cut. Thus the more they sell, the higher the fees that are paid, the more the guru.com and other companies pocket.
As a consumer advocate I thought I'd let you know and report the bad experience with guru.com providers lest you have to endure this yourself.
Do your homework when dealing with guru.com providers or any other service providers online. Never assume when dealing with guru.com providers. Be alert, ask innumerable questions, probe, investigate, and if you smell something suspicious, go with your gut.
I hope to have a better experience with guru.com providers in the future and will post more here below as guru.com providers have the opportunity to give me a better customer experience than my past dealings with guru.com.

Brits in Florida - We Love You!
Greetings to all the Brits in Florida! We warmly welcome all the Brits in Florida to the gorgeous sunshine state and thank you for coming!
Maybe one day we can have a Christmas pantomime (as I experienced in Yorkshire years ago) for all the Brits in Florida.
I enjoy interacting with Brits in Florida because they have a witty personality, don't make me feel so white, and of course have a great sense of humor (that isn't accompanied with excessive cursing).
Some parts of America have gone a bit ghetto (I'm not racist, even voted for Obama the first term), but Florida (preferably the beach communities and cities for me) is still lovely. No doubt that is why there are so many Brits in Florida - the beaches, sunshine, inexpensive food, affordable clothes, friendly people (most of the time anyway) and world class attractions are definitely a continual draw for Brits in Florida.
If you or any of your friends want to meet more Brits in Florida, buy real estate, get further acquainted, share some funny travel stories, etc. I'd love to connect further.
My websites and social media links are below for all my friendly Brits in Florida!

Elance Skills Tests - Improve and Verify the Credibility of Your Expertise
Elance skills tests help you verify the credibility of an elance provider's claims as to their expertise.
Many elance providers don't take the elance skills tests and just self-grade themselves.
However unless the provider has between 4.8 to 5.0 (a nearly perfect score from previous clients grading their work), bypassing the elance skills tests will likely keep them from being taken seriously and getting hired by prospective clients.
If you have not yet signed up for elance to be a provider, do that first by clicking on the banner / image below (or to become a buyer if you want to hire outsourcing providers for less and stretch your dollars).
Therefore I suggest all elance providers take the elance skills tests. More information about elance skills tests can be found here below:

I had difficulty finding the elance skills tests web link and am providing it here to help you along.

Make Peace with Yourself and Everyone Else
Peace with yourself is not something that comes easy to some people. However having peace with yourself is the foundation to building meaningful relationships personally and professionally. Without being at peace with yourself, your life will be frustrated and aggravated in a multiplicity of ways.
Finding peace with yourself is a process. You must cultivate peace within daily and learn to find peace with yourself in small ways throughout your life’s journey. Of course finding peace with yourself in a chaotic world is sometimes easier said than done, but pursuing peace with yourself is undoubtedly worth the investment. In fact making peace with yourself early on in life is one of the greatest and most important investments you will ever make.
You will like yourself better and others will enjoy being around you more when you have taken the time to make peace with yourself. Conversely, when you are troubled within, on edge and irritable about unresolved issues and unfinished business in your own heart and mind, it will manifest and show in the way you treat and deal with others.
Ultimately when you don’t have peace with yourself, you project that disruption and disgruntlement into your relationships (and often unbeknownst to you, project on others the very things you yourself do and are not at peace with about yourself).
Making peace with yourself takes time, attentiveness, sensitivity and grace. When you realize your Creator loves you unconditionally and is patient with you as you evolve and grow along your life’s journey, it sets you at ease and enables you to be at peace with yourself.
Nothing is more reassuring, life affirming and comforting than knowing God above (who is and embodies love) loves you as you are, but at the same time is all-wise, all-knowing, and capable of lifting you up to where you belong once you have embraced the needed inner adjustments within.
As a chiropractor who adjusts, repositions and straightens a spine out of whack; God knows where there are things out of proper alignment in your thinking, emotions and mindsets. Thankfully the Lord of life knows how to restore peace to your heart and mind and teach you how to make peace with yourself and others where there may be strained relationships.
The worst tragedy is when you are bulldozing through life and running over people (going through life with your hair on fire, blazing by, and burning everyone and everything in sight), alienating good people by your poor behavior, stubbornness and self-centered way of life. Making peace with yourself often begins when we awake to the poor way in which we’ve treated others and simultaneously awaken to what an undone, deceptive and devilish person we ourselves have been.
Making peace with yourself requires humility, introspection, a willingness to take a personal inventory, do a progress evaluation, and check up from the neck up. Sometimes stinking thinking can take root in us and spread throughout other areas of our lives, thereby perpetuating our pain and polluting our relationships.
Often we don’t realize why good opportunities vanish in our midst and doors of opportunity suddenly close after they once appeared open. Perhaps this is because people frankly don’t like you, but are kind enough to not flat out tell you.
Making peace with yourself by way of humility and sensitivity will awaken you to the flawed and undone areas of your character needing improvement. Allow God’s grace to enter and perform the work of perfecting and polishing you. Be open to what the Holy Spirit says and shows to you daily.
Don’t feel down about or beat yourself up over past mistakes. You can’t change the past, but you can learn from, correct it, and improve your performance and dealings with people in the future.
As you make peace with yourself, awaken to your flaws, and purpose to do better in the future; doing so from a place of grace. Give yourself mercy and grace. As you do, you will find you can be more gracious, accepting and unconditionally tolerant of others.
The less judgmental you can be toward yourself and others, the closer you are to making peace with yourself. Being judgmental erects walls of division, discord and breaks moments of synchronicity relationally that serendipitously come about to bless us. Where there is strife and envy, every evil is nearby.
Silence and die to jealousy and envy. Be free to be yourself and celebrate others gifts, talents, abilities and accomplishments freely. It takes a great person, someone at peace with themselves, to be able to honor and celebrate others. This is a huge step toward making peace with yourself.

Weight Loss Coach to Revolutionize your Diet and Health
Need a weight loss coach to revolutionize your diet and health? As a former personal fitness trainer, nutritional consultant and health coach I will give you a one hour consult to revolutionize your diet.
If you want a weight loss coach to consistently encourage you, I can make that happen as well.
http://www.PaulFDavis.com/health-and-...
I cannot train you in the gym however as I travel the world speaking and am writing a book on natural cures and remedies for cancer presently. However as a weight loss coach, I believe your diet (what you do with and put in your mouth three or more times a day) to be the deciding factor in regard to weight loss.
I saw a kid last night on ABC who weighed 400 lbs in high school. Why is a weight loss coach important? Because diabetes, heart disease and cancer kills.
This is the first generation on earth that will die younger than their parents. What is up with that? Huh, as a weight loss coach more than meets the eye I assure you!
http://www.PaulFDavis.com - weight loss coach for detoxification, elimination of fat, liberation from a loser mentality, improved self-worth, enhanced relationships and personal empowerment to live your dreams

Leadership Speaker and Team Building Speaker for Company Harmony
As a leadership speaker and team building speaker I was interested in a recent study conducted by Harvard Business School (June 2012) that found the primary cause for dysfunction within organizations to be the relational distance between leaders and employees.
As a team building speaker I know connection is critical to inspire employees, but as a leadership speaker I also know executives and CEOs have huge egos. Balancing the two (since you can fall off either side of the horse) can take emotional discipline, attentiveness, a willingness to listen, and some humility.
Leading like a dictator in a top-down fashion only serves to anger and alienate your employees. If you want passive aggressive employees who sabotage you and your organization's success, treat everyone like dirt and just keep walking over them.
What I however as a leadership speaker continually remind managers, executives, CFOs and CEOs is that when you climb the ladder of success, be sure your ladder is leaning upon the right building and not merely the back of the people, lest the people who make you great, rebel, abandon ship, turn against and attack you.
This happens more than many leaders care to admit or organizations realize.
Another observation I have made is not every team building speaker is able to transcend the emotional turmoil boiling beneath the surface within an organization or company. Often such emotional angst is glossed over with cute smiles and lip service. Yet the subtleties and nonverbal cues eventually surface if you are emotionally in touch and attentive enough to notice.
Effective communication for leaders is not just saying what needs to be said, but considering employees' feelings and emotions when communicating (how you say it and respond to others during the process). If you are a leader that speaks harshly and bulldozes over people, eventually that animosity you have created within your organization will multiply via a root of bitterness and you will be putting out fires that you lit long ago (often unbeknownst to yourself).
Every human being deserves a degree of respect and personal dignity regardless of their position and stature in the corporation. We live to enjoy our lives, not be enslaved by our jobs and have our bosses lord themselves over us.
As a leadership speaker getting this through to executives and corporate managers sometimes can be a daunting task. Nevertheless it is a rewarding task and accomplishment worth pursuing.
Because when leaders lose touch with their co-workers and employees, the and the organization is soon to be sunk.
Bridge the gaps, build meaningful relationships, attend to conflict resolution, pursue reconciliation, apologize for past wrongs, be sensitive of others feelings and bring in a team building speaker and leadership speaker to prophetically address these matters and bring about a shift in corporate culture to improve and better your organization.

Career Coach to improve Job Application Skills
As a career coach helping people improve their job application skills, I can't help but laughing when I read certain things on online resumes and profiles seeking employment.
Among the funny things I have heard:
- "I have many interests..."
- "Whatever you want, that I can do..."
- "Rockstar..."
The list will continue to be added to as job application skills tell employers something about you and you tell employers how you see yourself (a hidden look into the psyche).
As a career coach just addressing the three funny resume pieces above, I would advise the following accordingly:
- An employer doesn't care if you have many interests. In fact the more interests you have, the less ability you are likely to have to focus on assigned tasks.
If you have many irons in the fire, the fire is likely to soon go out.
- When you tell a prospective employer "whatever you want, I can do" you are flat out lying. Nobody can do everything well. Telling someone otherwise sets you up for failure and thwarts your credibility. No employer will take you seriously, trust, count on or consider you.
- If you are a rock "star" you would be shining elsewhere and not in need of a job. LOL
If you need to improve your job application skills, resume, online profile, social media and marketing of yourself - as I career coach empowering people to be their best and fulfill their dreams that is what I'm here for!

Freedom from Fear Feels Wonderful and Powerful
Freedom from fear feels wonderful and enables you to be powerful. When did I discover freedom from fear?
Well, in all honesty, I grasped and inwardly got free from fear when the Spirit of God touched my life and filled me with the spirit of faith and victory to overcome every adversity.
I know what freedom from fear feels like because I have in the past feared:
- getting disciplined by my dad
- failing an exam
- not performing well in sports
- not being liked by girls
- having your wife cheat on or divorce you
- being laughed at
- not being good enough
- not being liked
When I speak around the world and ask for a show of hands in the audience how many struggle with fear, usually over 90% lift up their hands and admit they need to experience freedom from fear in some area of their lives.
In my personal journey, I have learned freedom from fear comes when you begin to love yourself unconditionally, give yourself freedom to fail, and stop worrying what other people think or say about you. Then they lose their grip and influence over you ...and can no longer intimidate or manipulate you.
Replacing fear with faith (childlike and daring faith) feels great!
God as my witness I grew up with countless obstacles and kinds of adversities being the son of a mother who was an alcoholic and drug addict.

Yet after having a couple supernatural experiences with God (that heaven initiated), afterward I dared to believe and do the impossible. I so put God's Word to me to the test, I sought out war-torn countries where I could go just to see if God would really protect me.
I worked at ground zero in New York City the first week of 9-11, went to Pakistan twice thereafter (long before anyone ever thought Bin Laden was there - which I always did ...that's another story), lived in Indonesia (the world's largest Muslim populace - many whom I befriended and came to love), walked into a closed U.S. Embassy surrounded by Indonesian police and a tank, when it was under a bomb threat by local dissidents, worked at the tsunami epicenter in Indonesia, where I slept in a hotel shaking at night because the tremors and earthquakes were still ongoing (and the best hotel in Banda Aceh had already collapsed), ministered in war-torn east Africa (Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Uganda, Mozambique) where I've been on 5 trips ...sometimes so deep into the bush where people had never seen a white man (and I was by myself with natives sleeping in a tent).
I lived and traveled throughout India (had diarrhea for 2 months at one time and thought I was going to die). Lived and traveled throughout Thailand, including visiting refugee camps on the border of Burma (which I also visited twice and went to governmentally forbidden and restricted areas to speak to students and monks).
Having been to 68 countries, the stories now are countless and ongoing. When my ex-wife of 5 years had an affair and didn't bother to attend marriage counseling with me, I divorced her and moved on (although early on I was demoralized and had to go through a personal ground zero). Today I'm happily married again and my ex-wife has blown up to twice her size.
So God upholds my steps, orchestrates my stops, liberates me from fear, fills me with His powerfully spirit of faith (2Corinthians 4:13), makes me feel great, and keeps me in the grip of His grace!
If you or someone you love needs freedom from fear, I speak and minister worldwide helping leaders, students, families, communities, athletic teams and parents experience freedom from fear and live victoriously by faith.

Marketing Consultant - Marketing Secrets from the Bronx Zoo
As a marketing consultant, I'm always teaching marketing secrets and looking for clever ways to market reputable products and services.
The Bronx zoo recently employed a monkey for marketing and fundraising with his iPad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXtM9...
Animals are a genius way to connect, make people feel good, and once you've opened their emotions ...mention your product or service.
There is so much more I can discuss as a marketing consultant, but if you want more marketing secrets you must contact my secretary Suzy and schedule a consultation.
