“Is that what you did?” I interrupted.
He shrugged. “No, I ran over the principal with a riding mower,” he said, his voice touched with nostalgia.

That Tumblr store ad with the illustration of someone gesturing to the inside of their jacket… Does the Tumblr staff know the visual of someone selling things pinned to the inside of their jacket has been visual shorthand for a scam for DECADES?
Whether the Tumblr staff we’re oblivious to this or attempting to be ironic, maybe a good rule is this: Don’t associate what you’re trying to sell with the most cliché scam in the world.

I am VERY excited for this.
Buster Keaton’s work set a standard for film that few since have met. And because he insisted on shooting outside of a studio whenever possible, his films double as a historical record of Southern California before it was largely developed. And Rami Malek will kill this role.
