My friend Thom’s memorial was this past weekend. A solemn occasion, sure, but one of the bright spots was that it also doubled as a mini dad blogger reunion. I love these guys.

circe-rising:

Feeling overwhelmed and anxious beyond what I can handle without medication. My doctor prescribed lorazepam to get through the next few days and I am definitely going to use it.

On Monday, I am finally having the breast biopsy to determine what’s what. More info has revealed a high probability of malignancy and lemme tell you, my nervous system is on mf code red right now.

I know you all are here in my phone and I appreciate every heart, every shit post, and every distraction. Tell me about your dates, your pets, your workplace shenanigans.

You heard her, Tumblr. She wants shitposts and tales of your shenanigans.

This is what we trained for.

Our time has come.

Years ago, I was ranting to my therapist about why everything felt like such a struggle, that no one else had issues like mine, and that I was alone in the world because of it. She grabbed a textbook from her shelf and opened it to a chart like this.

Not only were my problems not unique and of my own creation, they were literally a textbook case.

And that was the start of me working on those distortions.

all text and images shift. four new pages appear. paragraph breaks form a union. a swarm of commas buzzes at the window. in the distance, sirens.
