Friday the 13th, welcome Freddy, only not here in Sausalito, please, maybe somewhere in the mountains in Montana, hunkered down looking for opportunities to do bad things, but it's pretty cold still, so no visitors should be around to be terrorized. Or Freddy can visit Antarctic, see if he can outsmart the polar bears.

I'm also told it's a full moon and you know what that means. Every single crazy person will be out howling and wailing tonight -- so stay in and watch a movie -- popcorn is an excellent accompaniment. After you microwave your popcorn, you dump it in a bowl, then you get the fake spray butter and spray it in and add some shredded Parmesan cheese and more fake butter, then you get three napkins, hug the bowl to your chest and keep it there because otherwise everyone from the neighborhood will sniff it out and come running -- and then you watch the movie.

Thursday, the day before Friday the 13th and Freddy pays a visit, well, hopefully not.

Warriors won last night over the Trailblazers, but I'll tell you I went bald at least a dozen times and had three heart attacks. Anyone looking at the 4-1 result would think the Warriors ran right over the Blazers, but nothing could be further from the truth. Next year, the Trailblazers will scare the crap out of everyone. Who do you think will win the Oklahoma/San Antonio play-offs?

May 11th -- Wednesday -- Warriors play Portland here tonight -- be sure to watch -- or not, if you happen to hate basketball. You know what? Even if you've never been a basketball fan in your life (I wasn't) -- to watch Stephen Curry is an adventure, he is so absolutely amazing --

All right, already, I'll shut up, but did you know he won MVP with a unanimous vote? Never been done before in the history of the world, maybe the universe, all right, I'll shut up, but did I mention, that he's also a really nice guy, as is his wife and his mother is hot?

Moving right along -- you know, now that I look at it, today is primarily a work day and gym day, all topped off with hopefully a great game tonight -- a very scheduled day and maybe you'd call it a boring day, no over-the-top excitement planned. Nah, I'm going to go play in Grayson Sherbrooke's novella with a demon named Belzaria -- how fun is that?

Oh yes, the interview with CBS Watch Magazine with Yolanda -- what a wonderful sense of humor she has, a lot of fun -- She moved from NYC to southern Texas -- now that's got to be a culture shock -- in any case, when it's published, I'll let you know.

May 10, Tuesday: Amazing basketball game last night -- Warriors vs. Portland -- really, truly amazing. And as Steph Curry said during the game (If you're lip reading) "I'm back!" -- tomorrow night the 5th game is here --

Lots of good stuff today -- nearly half way done with the 2nd novella -- I really would like to finish it by next week -- Late this afternoon, I have a phone interview with CBS Watch Magazine -- I'm really not familiar with it, and should become so -- fast. If you think that sounds nearly as amazing as the basketball game, consider that CBS owns Simon & Schuster so I guess that's why they want to interview me.

May 6, 2016

Yet again, a big gorgeous Friday -- with thunderstorms, Alexa told me (Do you know who Alexa is?)

So many of you have feelings in your bones and you say that -- What I'm wondering though is where the saying originated? Someone said it was Dutch? Dutch? Goodness, it is related to tulips?

Several of you looked up MacKenzie Childs -- it is Harry Potterish or Alice in Wonderland -- very colorful, whimsical, beautifully made and exquisite detailed -- no photos -- I'm going to do a video -- but first, the last piece, the floor lamp, has to arrive -- next week -- I walk into my office -- and I'm grinning from ear to ear -- talk about raising your spirits, making you want to kick up your heels and sing to the cats -- such fun -- also, I cleaned out all the drawers, so the entire room is pristine -- won't have to be done again for another 15 years --

May 5, 2016

May 5th, Thursday: This is going to be a very fine day, I feel it in my bones. Why bones, you ask? Well, they woke up happy and excited. How can I tell if bones are anything but bones? Well, that's harder to explain. Let me ask you, haven't you ever felt something on a really deep level, and you simply know it's going to happen? A sort of prescience, I guess. Yes, you have and that's what I mean. Maybe you say you feel something to your white blood cells or to your spleen. Me, I prefer bones -- nice and strong, bones, and they've never lied before. 'Feeling to the bones' is a very old phrase. Does anyone know where it came from?

In a little while I'll post some photos of my new office -- it's all MacKenzie Childs -- if you don't know that furniture, go to their web site -- Harry Potter furniture, that's close enough. Colorful, extremely detailed and utterly whimsical -- nothing like it.

I noticed there's quite a $$ difference between the price of Barnes & Noble and BooksAMillion for a signed Insidious -- so check it out if you haven't yet pre-ordered. Or, you can get the book for $16 at Costco when it comes out, mail it to me and I'll sign it specifically to you --

All is good and the Castle of Doom awaits -- what fun to let your imagination go wild -- yes, I'll reign it in eventually, but not now -- go craziness --

May 3rd -- Tuesday -- and goodness, it's late! Yes, I slept in and then did needful stuff before sitting down at my computer. So, it feels like half the morning's already gone and that is why I don't like to sleep late. Aren't we all weird? I have writer friends who start writing at midnight, others who begin at noon, others who write an entire book in a month, 18 hours a day, others who put in a standard 8-hour work day. All over the board.

Do you have a more "creative" time in the 24-hour stretch? When is your peak? Yes, I'm a morning person, love sitting down at about 6:30, not 8:30 --

April 20, 2016

April 20, 2016

Wednesday, 20th April -- Yet another glorious day in Sausalito -- in the high 60s. Yeah, yeah, I know, this is too cold for some of you and too hot for others, but for me, it;s right on target.

I'm sending all my prayers to Houston -- for those of you there and living through it, please, take care, and know that everyone is worried about you and sending prayers your way
.
Those of you with long commutes -- do as I do and listen to to books on tape (Mine would be best, but okay, you can do others as well) I don't know if I've told you but the two people who read the male/female roles in my books are amazing. His name is Andrew Macleod -- He can easily do Brit, Scottish, Italian, French, American -- plus, he's very sexy. Renee Raudman is lots of fun, a beautiful blond, and immensely talented -- They've both been reading for me now for six books, I believe --

The Harry Potter deal -- I read the synopsis of the play and it didn't grab me at all. And I get the impression they're simply binding the working copy of the play script and selling it -- And it's only showing in London -- we'll see -- no interest unless someone I know/trust really raves about it.

Whoever you are, whatever your health, your physical abilities and limitations, you can do SOMETHING. Can't stretch much? Well, figure out what you can do and do it, every single day. You can't do abs? Fine, can you lie on your back in bed, your knees over a pillow and suck in your belly to the count of ten. And repeat ten times and breathe -- You see, you can do stuff -- You know how important it is to work your body. The alternative isn't pretty.

April 19, 2016

Tuesday, April 19th -- tell me, where has this frigging month gone? It seems like we went from April Fool's day to tax day and somehow it leaped to the 19th. Amazing how time bends and leaps tall buildings and gives you the finger.

The Warriors won last night without Steph Curry -- they are tough and you tend to forget that with all the three-point shots, and thus, no-holds barred to the basket for shots. They did very well indeed.

So Harry Potter, it's a book of a play? Where was it a play? Does anyone know? And it's out the 31st of July -- okay, I'll check this out -- thank all of you for sticking in your lovely oars.

Today, more tweaking on The Devil's Triangle -- then in a week or so it goes to J.T. for her final snit/critique/big hoots and hollers -- so all goes well here.

Today, well, today is a sort of strange day, neither betwixt nor between for me, at least. It's a sort of antsy day. How far do you guys have to commute to work?

April 15, 2016

FRIDAY, April 15th -- glorious today, both inside and out, and the cats are dancing around, meowing at the top of their lungs "More Treats, More Treats" -- yes, of course I understand cat.

I work up at about 3:00 a.m. and I saw it all clearly -- I'd been concerned that this one character wasn't consistent or thinking/reacting the right way -- and zap! There it was -- so I get to go back through the old man's scenes -- this is such fun, make adjustments -- this will call for finesse.

Don't miss the Warriors vs. Rockets tomorrow, should be a great game.
