une 8th -- Wednesday and GAME 3 BETWEEN WARRIORS AND CAVALIERS -- oh my, please, no going bald and suffering three heart attacks --
You all know the story about Paul Simon in concert in Oakland, right? Okay, if you don't, he was performing to a full house, Steve Kerr (coach of the Warriors) was late and finding his seat when he was recognized and very quickly the entire audience was yelling WARRIORS, WARRIORS. Simon stops singing, doesn't know what's going on. I understand he was a pretty good sport about it --
Hope to finish up the second Grayson Sherbrooke novella today, well, okay, tomorrow, but it's close. I was playing around with the title -- Castle of Doom -- what do you think?
Fun with relatives, dinner out last night -- they're coming soon to pick up Walter (Beemer X5) and driving to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach and who knows where else? So much to see here and one of them has never been to California --
Many of you sound banged up or down for the count -- strep throat, arthritis, sore quads, cortisone shots for this and that . I gotta tell you, sounds like a felony epidemic -- think now, what did you do to anger the body parts gods? Were you hoping for rain and storms and instead your joints started hurting? For those of you in better shape, don't ever forget, you do what you can as much as you can every single day. If you have a frozen shoulder, your legs still work, your other arm still works -- Never stop working all the body parts you can, okay? Today, I hope your legs are a big sore from all the lunges and squats (they'd better be or I'll have to call out the Exercise Minions). Today, cardio your brains out --

June 7, 2016

June 7th -- Tuesday -- sort of an in-between day today -- looking forward to dinner with relatives, looking forward to Warriors playing tomorrow night. But, on the other hand, the novella is moving right along -- it is very wild -- and that's lots of fun.
I'm hearing that a lot of you are pre-ordering the signed/autographed (whatever you want to call it) copy of INSIDIOUS -- if you didn't see the links of my May Newsletter, then email me and I'll send them along -- I think Barnes & Noble dropped their price to match Books A Million, which is good.

June 3rd -- BIG FRIDAY -- sunny here, warm, so good to be alive and kicking -- Glad you guys enjoyed the helicopter ride. Alas, it was LONG -- but I didn't know how to cut it down. I was so entranced by what I was seeing that I just kept my finger on the video button on my iPad -- My brother-in-law was scared of helicopters but he was too macho to say anything. So we all happily went. Turns out they wanted to do a commercial with the helicopter so we got all sorts of extra time (this was here in San Francisco) and you wouldn't believe what that helicopter did, rolling, sharp banking, going under the Golden Gate -- amazing stuff -- cured my brother-in-law. So those of you with problems? Hmm -- maybe this would work for you too.

Beginning FBI #21 today -- what fun --

May 27, 2016

Friday, May 27th -- sunny, perfect temp, and the Warriors are still in the play offs -- they won last night without the Splash Brothers (Curry and Thompson) shooting more than a couple of three-pointers. But Curry, as usual, was amazing. Bogut turned up as well, great to see him play well. Now it's back to Okla. City on Saturday -- be sure to watch -- this time they have to play their hearts out and Curry/Thompson have to hit a dozen threes each -- possible? I've seen them do it.

The third and last project (the final edit of The Devil's Triangle, the 4th BRIT in the FBI thriller) goes OFF TODAY -- Imagine, this one begins in Venice -- I really like this this story --

Thanks to all of you for Sedona tips -- if you know of any specific shops, let me know right away --

Today, end up the week with a good healthy sweat -- push your body as far as you can, feel it thrumming, the blood pumping, your heart shouting -- it's all good --

May 26, 2016

May 26, Thursday --
So many of you mentioned birthdays in May, and, of course, flowers and how Spring is solidly here -- Isn't it interesting what a single word sparks in our brains?

Going to Sedona on Sunday. Has anyone stayed at L'Auberge de Sedona? If so, please give me a review. I've looked at photos of Sedona and surrounding mining towns -- I'll tell you, it wouldn't matter if Aliens or the Russians landed, you wouldn't care, you're all tucked away, safe and sound. I can't wait to talk to people who've lived there all their lives and do they particularly care if Poutin doesn't wear a shirt?

Okay, they're stripping away Russian Olympic medals. Question: Do you think they should be banned from the Olympics in Rio -- wow, in only 80 days? Do you think if they find banned drugs in kept Russian samples of past Olympics, those medals should be stripped as well? You know, it just ain't the same thing if you won the Silver and you're notified it's now Gold -- you never got to stand on the podium, your national anthem being played, touted all over the world. I wonder what the Russian athletes themselves think about all this? Did they want the drugs?

Okay, guys, lots of stressful stuff going on for many of you, but that means it's only more important that you do what physical activity you can. Exercise is the best answer to stress, please believe me. A nice steady consistent exercise regimen. And you do what you can, no rules, no regulations, okay? Most important, though, is cardio --

May 25, 2016

Wednesday, 25th of May -- Just say out loud MAY -- what do you think of when you say the word? What instantly pops into your brain? Well, if your mom's named May, then that's obvious, but if your mom isn't named May, then what do you think of? No, I'm not going to tell you what I think of until you do --

We will not even speak of the Warriors who left last Sunday to visit the dark side of the moon only to discover that while visiting they got four flat tires. It is such a shame, given all the records broken, the amazing 73 of 82 games won. But it's like the year the Patriots had a perfect season and then lost the Super Bowl -- it doesn't mean much. A pity.

Work today and gym and enjoying the lovely cool weather here in the area -- Speaking of the gym, of course you're going, if that's in your schedule, and if it's not, it still means you've got some time set aside for your body -- no, not your stomach, your eyes, your the entertainment part of your brain -- this is body only. Get out your stretch band and go after those arms -- remember, nice and slow and experiment with the band. Google stretch band exercises -- add some to your repertoire. And if you're not sure, let me assure you that the Exercise Minions are always lurking --.

May 24, 2016

Tuesday: Tell me, are there any Canadians playing on the Raptor's team in Toronto? Is it all Americans? Still, what if they won the NBA championship? Another country! Wouldn't that be something -- last night they took another game from the Cleveland Cavaliers -- an excellent game -- what will happen? Next game is back in Cleveland.

Tonight, Warriors/Thunder -- will the Warriors show up or will they remain on the dark side of the moon? Will Draymond Green mind his manners after forking out 25K for the (inadvertent) kick to Adams's groin, sending him to his knees? Well, if he 'inadvertently' pulls crap like that again, he will be suspended. What do you think his teammates said to him? The Coach?

So many of you enjoyed the sunrise photo I posted looking toward Angel Island -- Sometimes I walk by a window, glance up and suck in my breath, it's so beautiful --

Work today BUT, one of the three projects I finished last night, so two more to go. No problem -- it's all good.

I hope all of you who wanted it got the May newsletter. If you didn't, let me know. And, if you want to receive them, flip to my web site and sign up. Also, the excerpt from Insidious is there -- see if I make your toes curl -- just a bit.

Working anew on The Devil's Triangle --J.T. Ellison went through it, did her editing and now it's back to me, then to Simon & Schuster (Gallery) June 1st -- all is good. J.T. thought it was terrific (Actually, I think it's pretty terrific too).

What does your town/city do for Memorial Day? Are you involved? Do you ride on a flat bed truck and toss out leftover Mardi Gras beads?

May 18, 2016

Wednesday, 18th, May -- Today a group of authors are coming to lunch. I was thinking maybe I could shoot a video and you could meet the group chowing down and laughing and drinking champagne today -- let me think about this. Hey, why not?

I heard through the ether that many of you put it all out there and worked your butts off (and other parts) -- excellent. I hope you're on the sore side, that means your muscles are complaining (yet thankful) and will reward you with firmness and isn't that wonderful? If you are sore, then work parts that aren't -- that's why many people go from upper body to lower body -- keeps everything cooking, but not overdoing -- so today, if you're sore, work something else and work it good -- try for the same level of soreness. A nice aspirin is good, a hot shower -- and tonight, enjoy the second Warrior's play-off game.

I've spoken to the council of Rain Makers in various regions telling them you've had enough rain for a while. There was much grousing, telling me it's none of my business, it's their job, but a couple did say they're pull it back. So, we'll see.

May 17, 2016

Tuesday, May 17th -- See -- it's Tuesday already. Monday, Monday, come back to mama -- Okay, focus on making Tuesday last a whole long time -- I'm trying to forget the Warrior's game last night -- huge big sigh --

lots of stuff today (besides writing -- this is on the second novella) and I got the galleys for Insidious -- but a whole week to review them and that's a good thing. I'm writing the newsletter which means you'll be getting it manana or Wednesday. And speaking of Wednesday, a bunch of authors are coming to lunch -- what fun!

Who's got something really exciting and unusual going on today? Something that will make you happy and revved? As for myself, I'm thinking, but alas, I don't have anything that far out of the ordinary expected today, but who knows? Maybe after lunch, there'll be a package from FedEx to bowl me over -- I did get two different titles in Japanese yesterday --
