November 18 -- Friday -- the pearls appeared (namely my post for the test)-- so whatever was wrong with the boat, it's now righted -- please. So forgive the past three days of invisibility. I was there, you just couldn't see me.
Happy Friday -- yes, another Friday and we're looking out at our beautiful world and wondering if the catered Thanksgiving dinner will be good. I told you I'm taking the baker my own pie pans so it'll look like I baked them. They're BIG -- I wonder if he'll charge me more (I would). Who likes cranberry sauce?
My exercise minions haven't said anything about you guys being slackers, so hmm -- you didn't bride the minions, did you? They love Mrs. Prindables apples even though they have a gazillion calories.
Today, polish things off with some lovely hard cardio and stretch, that's so very important. Then, snooze -- legs up against the wall, straight as you can make them, butt against the wall or as close as you can, and relax every muscle in your body, starting with your toes and working up to your eyebrows. Then clear out all the stuff in your brain -- Mellow out -- close your eyes and think about FRIDAY and you and the critters will sleep in for a little bit manana --

HUGE BIG BUMMER: My week 10 football results: 1-3. Yes, yes, many of you had a 4-0 -- and bragged, bragged, bah humbug. At least the Giants pulled it out and won last night so I didn't falll completely into the abyss. To date, I'm: 22-18.
Announcement: In about three weeks: The Resident Demons of Blackthorn Manor -- the second Grayson Sherbrooke otherworldly mystery novella -- will be available, but ONLY on ebook -- I'll tell you more as the time draws nearer -- He goes to Scotland -- okay, no more, not just yet -- I love Scotland -- okay, no more right now, moving right along --
Glad you like the photo with Cleo and the Christmas presents in my office -- I'll be posting a video -- it's fairly crazy, but so colorful and fun -- Yes, I'm really sick. Many of you asked when I do all this wrapping -- When pro football season starts in early September, I can't simply sit on the sofa all day and evening, I have to be doing something while watching, so it's wrapping -- It's the way to go, I promise, try it. If not football, then the Warriors.

November 10, 2016

Gorgeous Thursday morning, the 10th of November
I know, I know, I'm one big sick puppy -- my level is nearly all Christmasized with wrapped presents filling the room and the landing outside my office as well -- never thought to do that before. You walk down the stairs and BLAM! there it is and you smile so big. It's different this year because of all the fantastical MacKenzie Childs furnishings, but such fun -- Yep, when all is done, all the presents wrapped I'll make a video. If you're wondering why so early with the decorating, it's because it's so very involved and the guests/parties begin the first week in December --
If you're painting a room then you're good with the bat wings, but if you're not, then you have to use weights or isometrics or the stretchy bands. Bat wings for Christmas aren't good even though you're wearing long sleeves, because the Christmas minions
will know and they'll put nasty notes in your Christmas stockings. Not good, so work on those beautiful arms so you can wave them around and the minions will cheer.
Change is always scary, but the trick is to face it with optimism (and guacamole). A couple of prayers thrown in can't hurt. Never forget how very lucky we are in this world of bad stuff and turmoil.

November 9, 2016

Wednesday, the 9th of November. Guess what? The sun came up just as the writer predicted and we're given the gift of this blessed earth for another day. I do have recommendations for you:
l) If you're happy, walk your critters a full mile.
If you're sad, walk your critters a full mile.
2) If you're happy, eat some chips and guacamole
If you're sad, eat some chips and guacamole
3) If you're happy, go EXERCISE.
If you're sad, go EXERCISE.
Everyone, now move forward.

Tuesday, the 8th of November -- Election Day -- A famous speech writer said last week: "No matter who wins the election I predict the sun will rise on Wednesday, with a 3% standard deviation." --
Today is a wild day, not only writing, but all sorts of other stuff that has to happen, has to be done, has to be done unto, (me), has to be accomplished -- are you as busy today? Sometimes it's hard not to be overwhelmed -- take one thing at a time and breathe -- that's the ticket. I'll try it too --

Friday, November 4th -- Daylight Savings Time: You Spring forward and Fall back. Is this right? Is this the way you remember it?
I really don't want to lose an hour on Sunday, I mean, that's FOOTBALL --
I must admit it to you now: I'm a HUGE Warriors' fan, maybe even more so than football -- oh dear, do you want to throw me under the bus? Out the window? Down the drain? But they're really magic to watch.
Galleys for Insidious paperback go in today. I couldn't believe how many adjustments and word changes I needed to make on the pages. It will be out in paperback in February. The paperback cover is gorgeous -- it's not black matte like the hardcover, rather nice and bright and shinny and gorgeous and the Venus Flytrap is incredible.--

November 3, 2016

Thursday, 3rd of November and I hear that Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend, but if I remember correctly, and that's always an iffy proposition, it's still not light at 7:00 a.m., right? Wrong?
Did everyone see the Cubs win the series last night? First time since 1908 -- usually I find baseball extraordinarily boring, as in snooze through half of it or get to reading a book and it becomes background noise -- but not last night. Great game --
I will let all of you know how good the catered Thanksgiving turns out to be. If it sucks, well then, next year, I'll have to go to Plan B. If delicious, then I'll smack myself for not doing it sooner. So many of you go to family for Thanksgiving -- wherever, it doesn't matter, it's still a wonderful day -- I mean pumpkin pie and football, what else could you want? Well, one year, my pumpkin pie's bottom crust was soggy -- oh joy.

November 2, 2016

November 2nd -- Wednesday -- black as as pit outside -- don't you just hate that? I mean to wake up in the dark (that is, to have to GET up when it's dark and everything in you says no,no,no -- and the cats are bouncing around, can't wait for motherfood to do something, like get out their food and put it down NOW. And they just don't seem to understand what DARK means, particularly at 5:30 in the a.m. Now that I give that a bit of thought, I gotta say to myself, is that your biggest problem, Spunky? If so, you're pathetic. Okay, so you whine and fight it and then roll out and it's over -- but those few minutes when you'd give just about anything to stay under the covers, nicely tucked in, ignore the cats traipsing up and down your bod -- okay, you've all got the picture and are shaking your heads, saying yep, very pathetic.
Work day for me just as it is for you, plus gym, just as it is for you -- And putting up the Thanksgiving decorations -- I swear every single year the decorations seem to breed -- so many! But I'll post a video once everything looks picture perfect --
I'm having Thanksgiving catered for the first time. Company from out of town will be here, and I thought, I just don't want to do it and the Company said, We'll do it! and I said Oh yes, and I'd have to come to the kitchen and do this and that and try to supervise and there'd be mayhem and it'd be just like last year and the year before and the year before that. So a BIG NO to cooking this year. I'll let you know if the dinner is good. (I'll never forget the year I bought this "brine" from Williams Sonoma and the turkey and the hideous brine, all sitting in a baking pan got turned over on the garage floor -- oh joy. The baker is going to bake pies in my pie plates so they won't look bought. Is that not cool?

BIG HUGE November 1st -- Tuesday
FOOTBALL: I'm 2-2 for Week 8. Both the Eagles and the Vikings let me down this week. to date I'm 16-12. How are you doing so far in the season? Can you believe the season is already half over?
I hope everyone had a blast last night -- I watched the Viking/Bear game and got bummed out until I realized I have the galleys of Insidious paperback to go over and turned it off. Insidious is fun and exciting, and isn't it good that even I think so?
Enigma -- I made the decision yesterday and am rolling smartly forward. Now, I've really got to scratch my brain. Savich needs to come up with a very cool scam. About what, you ask? Ain't talking.

October 28, 2016

28th of October and believe it or not, a huge FRIDAY just clunked through the door. You again, I ask? Yep, aren't I beautiful? Don't you just love me to death? Here I am to make you dance and skip through the day knowing even the kitters will sleep in tomorrow. So, hello, gorgeous Friday.
Wrote a real interesting scene yesterday, never expected it, simply sat down and started writing and met two homeless men in an abandoned warehouse district and both are very cool. And then what happened -- that was a surprise too. Now, this morning, I'll reread, see what I think, and, as usual, edit or change, whatever it needs. Continuing on this morning -- I have no clue what to do next and accept that my brain and my fingers know. (please know, please know.)
