Gail Carriger chats at VampChix today. I just finished SOULLESS and it is a fresh new take on paranormal romance. There are vampires, werewolves and parasols involved!
Also, Nicole Hadaway has a contest at her blog to give away copies of my Moon Kissed, Midnight Cravings and The Highwayman.

I haven't really been ignoring this blog, I just don't have anything new, interesting or exciting to say lately. Been busy with the VampChix blog, getting the VampBash all organized. Figuring out the schedule of books to read for Bite Club. And guest posting at a whole mess of other blogs for promotion (which is finally settling down, thank goodness). I now have a six month stretch before I have any more books out, and I'm kind of looking forward to it. A bit of a breather from promotion...

Hmm, I'm guest blogging somewhere on Monday, but I'll be darned if I can read my own writing. Sigh... If you are expecting me to send you a guest post for Monday, please contact me. I know, this is pitiful. I keep a Google calendar with five different groups/blogs scheduled on it, and I have my own wall calendar with more stuff on it. I'm not that busy of a person. You'd think I could keep this under control. If only I could read my own writing; that is the problem. Wherever I'm guest...

Severo blogs and current stuff
Just a note: Severo blogs at eHarlequin today. Find it here. [Warning: there are spoilers if you haven't read MOON KISSED or "After The Kiss".]
I've set aside my WIP for a week to revise a proposal I'd sent in to my editor. She liked it but her suggestions were spot-on. Yes, I know the hero and heroine don't even meet until page 85! Something must be done about that.
This story is modern and historical. I think I'm going to call it a modern historical. And as with historicals, there is ...

Funny little poems make a neat story
I was at a booksigning the other night and had LOTS of time to browse, so I happened on this book.
I recently scheduled the author, Ryan Mecum, to guest blog at VampChix, but I hadn't read the book, and wasn't really sure what it was about, just thought it would be cool to mix up the vampire books at the blog and have his featured.
So I picked up Vampire Haiku and started reading, and well, this is a very cool little book. It's a story about a man who is changed to a vampire and falls in love...

I've been dumped!
First of all, "After The Kiss" is now 35% off at eHarlequin, so if you've been holding out, the price just keeps getting better and better!
Now, about the dumping part. I couldn't be more happy! Let me explain...
Ever walk in a bookstore and see those free-standing box displays that tout usually one title or one authors' set of titles? Those are called dumps. Most authors aspire to get in a dump. I know it sounds funny, and not sure where the name came from, but it's very cool.
So last nigh...
