Almost done...
I am almost to the end of revisions on HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND. Actually, this is the 'adding 20k words' part. I had completed the story and handed it in as a Nocturne. Now that it's coming out as an HQN I had to add more. Cool. There are parts of this story I may have possibly read a hundred times now, over and over, checking and rechecking, and still, I love this book. There are parts that make me smile. Parts that make me cry (yes, seriously). Other parts make me tense up with expectation

Great idea, Michele, to share people's TBR piles! I'm a Kindle girl through and through, so my TBR pile is fully electronic (except for the free books I collected at the RWA Conference!) I'm currently reading one of those free books – a contemporary romance by Kristin Higgins which has me laughing out loud (and getting strange looks from my hubby). The rest of my TBR pile is a lot of paranormal romance (that's the genre I love to read and the genre I love to write) with a dash of co

My TBR pile never LOOKS that bad because it's broken up into 4 categories and 4 discrete piles. 4 of which are strictly digital and aren't so "noticeable" if you're strolling my office or house!
1) unread queries to BelleBooks/Bell Bridge Books
2) Queries accepted and partials still to be evaluated
3) Full manuscripts under serious consideration or acquired/being edited
4) "the nightstand"
5) the Kindle which is the most fabulous device ever created
So, I'm giving you screenshots of my sub

Mindy says: Here's mine - heavy on the romance as I just got back from RWA.
I hope to have time to clear away some of these after I turn in my latest manuscript, a volume of the As You Wish series, which launches in October with How Not To Make A Wish.Check out Mindy's website at www.mindyklasky.com

Doranna's TBR Confessions...
I do not own my TBR shelf. It owns me.
Right now, it owns me with special vigor. Since we moved over last
year's winter holidays--combining two households from two cities--and
since we quickly realized we would be relocating locally within the
year (now slated to be, quite cleverly, over the holidays again,
sometime I swore only six months ago that I would never, ever, EVER
do again), we have been in a chaotic book limbo. Half the TBR is
still packed (see that box down th

We're back! More guest To Be Read piles this week. And kicking it off is a seemingly small pile. Oh, to have such a short stack! Either Kathleen reads very quickly, or she has iron willpower when she goes into a book store!
Hmm, I like this though, you can easily read the titles. I see Betina and Susan Wiggs and hmm...Healthy Aging? May have to check that one out myself. ;-)
Thanks, Kathleen!

Swooning for publicity
Found this pic on Connie Brockway's website. (She's on the right; Susan Johnson is swooning on the floor; that's me on the left looking...kinda bored.) We did an article for Minnesota Monthly so many years ago, and they wanted this spoofy photo. The things we do for our craft. At the time we were all writing historical. I do recall the model being very nice, a little worried his wig was crooked, as well as the sock in his pants. ;-)

Be sure and stop back in next Monday for more TBR pile guests!
If you're in the Minneapolis area I'm doing a book signing with Lois Greiman tomorrow at Ridgedale Borders from 2-3. We're signing Faeries Gone Wild, and other books (I think).

I'd like to thank Michele for inviting me to take part in this very cool guest spot.
As you can see from the picture, my TBR pile is pretty big and contains a variety of genres and paperback formats. I love to read, so I keep buying books, no matter how many I've already got waiting on the pile. I'm addicted to books. They all look so pretty together, don't they?
Oh, and after I took the pic, I realised that I'd left a few books off: Amazon Ink, Vicious Circle, Witch Heart... you get the pictur

Check it out! A nice, orderly TBR. When am I going to see the toppling piles that one must wrestle around to get into bed? Are they out there? Hmm...
Karen's July Nocturne shared the shelf with mine. I love this cover!
