1st chapter sneak peak
I put up the first chapter of HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND. Think of it as my Christmas present to you all. Ready for a wedding between a vampire and a werewolf? Well, click on over and read the excerpt! Heck, it's only three and a half months until April.

Winner of title contest is...
...INCiDeNT!
All the entries were so cool that I didn't want to have to pick just one. So I used random number generator to randomly pick from all the entries. I've added a few of the titles mentioned to my list of titles. I'll put an asterisk by the ones that were suggested here. If that title gets chosen for the book I will let you all know!
Thanks for playing along!
INCiDeNT email me at toastfaery@gmail.com with your snailmail address.

Just wanted to do a shout-out to the awesome authors who provided me with quotes for HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND. Susan Sizemore, Sherrilyn Kenyon and MaryJanice Davidson. I've added them to the book page at my website. You can click over and read them all. MJD let me use part of her email as a secondary quote, and it's pretty swell.
Keep entering the title contest! I'll draw a winner tomorrow afternoon and post it (if I remember).

Title ideas needed - contest!
So this book I'm working on is titled SEDUCING THE VAMPIRE. It's an okay title. But it feels so overdone. In romance, the word seducing is used a lot. Seducing The Duke. Seducing the Lord. Seducing the Dude with the Dark Hair. You know. So I'm trying to come up with something more original, catchy.
The hero is a half-vamp/half-wolf. Heroine is vampire. Hero must seduce heroine away from villain who has evil plans to enslave her, but she is offended by hero because something is wrong ...

Contact address
Quite a few people have emailed me lately asking for my mailing address for Xmas cards. I list it at my website, but figured I'd put it here too. PO Box 23, Anoka, MN 55303.
I used to send out lots of Xmas cards, but I suspect I'll be lucky to only get a few out to closest relatives this year. Everyone have a happy holiday and don't eat too much fudge!

Vamps and History? Bloodsucking fun!
Yay! Starting a new book today! Or actually, getting back into a book I started a while ago. You know it's going to be good when you wake up and immediately get to writing the scene you dreamed last night. No blog crawling, not even email! I got about five pages written of a scene I will add to what I already have.
So this is what's up with this book. When I was writing The Highwayman (summer of 2008) the idea for this story popped into my brain. I loved the idea and immediately started...

This will rock!
This makes me very happy! The first movie, District B13, rocked! And this one looks just as good. Can't wait! This is the UK trailer. To view the American trailer, that is different and longer, go here.

So did you all like the Favorite Things week? It was nice for me not to have to think for a week of posts. :-) I've been nose-to-keyboard all weekend, in between visiting with in-laws, who have been here since Friday. They just left, now I'm back to the grind. Book due tomorrow. Still needs an epilogue (no, I'm not going to kill the evil vampire) and a final read-through. Send chocolate!

Favorite Things just keep comin'
Today is the final day of my Favorite Things feature. I hope you all enjoyed seeing what others favorited this year. Hope you all had a great turkey day yesterday, and if you're not in the US, well, then I just hope it was a great day.
