WTF Wednesday!

It's time again for WTF Wednesday! So today, after years of using the same copier machine, I finally had my sis show me how to do a double-sided copy. All these years I've been doing it the hard way. Dur! That's definitely a WTF as in WTF is my problem and why the f*ck didn't I try to figure it out sooner?

Writing is an interesting thing. Sometimes something so bizarre or interesting will pop into my head that I have no choice but to write it down. Found this little gem as I was wandering through my "WRITING KEEP" folder.

SPAM Bots & Revision Tales

Earlier this week my site here was hit with one of those comment SPAM bots. If you have a blog you know the ones I'm talking about. The ones that post silly comments and URLs to posts from back-in-the-day in hopes the comments will just sit there unnoticed. The plan being that the more sites that link to them will raise their site in the search engine ranking. Of course most blogs have a lovely feature built in to combat this called comment moderation.  What sucks is I still had to go in...

I am not lucid today. My words are a mish-mash of utter nonsense. I just tried to answer an e-mail that, when I read it back (after clicking send), made no sense. So today the cats went in for their annual lion cuts.  We should do it twice a year. Long-haired cats shed a lot and as they get older they tend to get mats in their hair and have a harder time with hairballs. Everything Else

So I have a lot of odds and ends to share. First things first – I didn't write a single word this weekend. Hey – even writers need mini-vacations.  I don't know that it was technically a vacation since I spend it doing yard related work. However – it was nice not having to turn on the computer at all over the weekend.

Alchemical Experiments: Update 5.9.11

Tezrian Tincture: The tincture has been happily stewing in the warmth of the seedling greenhouse. I have not yet brought it inside to check on its color. Like usual, I will most likely just leave it alone until September. I have every confidence it will turn out well. Last year I had the issue where the plastic jar cracked open at the top (likely from out-gasing). So I probably ought to be careful to make sure this jar doesn't explode. I don't want to lose the entire batch.
