The Betas are Weighing In

OD Beta's are weighing in with their initial responses and I must say - my editor and I are very pleased.  It's slow to start, but interesting enough to keep people reading, and it seems people are getting hooked between chapters 2-3. Two of the Beta's are already done and asking where the hell the second half of the book is. Sorry - not finished with editorial revisions yet. Working on it though. One Beta just started weighing in today - his input has been quite valuable because he's helped ...

Testing Windows Live Writer

This is really just a test to see if this blog writer works with Blogger. If it does, it will certainly make posting blogs from my desktop easier without me having to open Explorer, log into Blogger, etc… Yes – I really am that lazy and anything that makes my life easier is awesome. So, on that note, I'm writing this post to you from my new laptop computer. The other laptop finally died after 10 years of faithful service and 15 books and novels to its credit. With any luck, this machine will ...

Political Pundits As Novelists?

Did you know that Glen Beck and Bill O'Reilly have both written novels? The reviews of said novels always end up the same - poorly written, poorly developed, and lackluster. I realize publishers publish these books because these people will sell books on fame alone no matter how crappy their writing/crafting is - but to me they're just taking an opportunity away from a REAL novelist who actually can write his/her way out of box and can craft a good story. Some prime examples of really bad pol...

Mystery Novel News

The first 8 chapters of "Outer Darkness" have been sent to my editor who has already sent them back with corrections. I am currently on chapter 11 or so with personal edits.  The cover art is done and it's FABULOUS! I love it. (See below)

I haven't really discussed the mystery novel at length because it's been such an interesting journey that I wanted to see where it was going. Well, now I know. It is slated for release November 2010 providing all editoral and production schedules are on time....

Testing Blogger's Amazon Linkage

Testing Amazon Linkage here on Blogger. Evidently you can post a link and it will automatically post covers. So here are my current books being sold in the mainstream markets (you can order them from any store, too).
