Caitlin Rose's Single "Waitin'" Featured On ABC's Hit Show

Caitlin Rose's stunning track "Waitin'," off her sophomore offering The Stand-In, was featured on the latest episode ABC's hit drama Nashville. The tribute came courtesy of fictional singer Scarlett O'Connor, who is played by actress Clare Bowen.

Caitlin recently released a cover of her own, re-imagining The National's "Pink Rabbits" into something that's very much her own. SPIN raved that, "It seems obvious in hindsight, but the National's sad-guy songs are nothing if not country tunes moonlighting as baroque-pop gems. Leave it to Nashville's Caitlin Rose...to expose this fact ever so beautifully."

Welcome London's The KVB: Album on BJM's A Recordings
THE KVB RELEASES NEW ALBUM NOVEMBER 26, 2013
NME Premieres “Run Away” Video
Australian tour confirmed with Brian Jonestown Massacre in December
THE KVB will release their 3rd album, Minus One on November 26, 2013 through A Recordings. Based in London, England, The KVB is the audio/visual project of Nicholas Wood and Kat Day. Listen and share the track, “Again and Again” athttps://soundcloud.com/cargorecords/again-again/s-cY3tl?in=cargorecords/sets/the-kvb-minus-one/s-cY3tl
The KVB have been quietly releasing slabs of droning guitars, minimal synth melodies and reverb drenched vocals since 2010. Minus One was recorded in the band’s own studio over 5 days in 2011. During the live show, the band programs visuals to match the audio, hypnotically alluring one’s consciousness and physical body in and out of textured illusions.
Handpicked by Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe to be on his A Recordings label, The KVB are currently in Newcombe's Berlin studio working on a new EP for release in January 2014. After recording, the duo will perform a string of European dates, including ATP's End Of An Era, which will be ATP’s final Camber Sand's festival in November 2013. In December, they will support Brian Jonestown Massacre on their Australian Tour and shortly after, The KVB will embark to Brazil for their first shows in South America.
Nicholas Wood initially started the KVB as a solo project in 2010. The debut release came in the form of a limited edition cassette tape ( The Black Sun ) on cult underground labelFLA Records in May 2010.
This was followed in 2011 by a series of acclaimed releases; including a 10” vinyl EP onDownwards Records ( Into The Night ) and another limited edition cassette, this time onClan Destine Records ( Subjection/Subordination ). After frequent collaborations through the year, Kat Day joined The KVB permanently on synths and visuals in late 2011 and this was shortly followed by the first-ever live show in London at the Shacklewell Arms.
The KVB’s schedule got even busier in 2012, with the release of their first full length LP, Always Then (Clan Destine Records) which piqued the interest of the UK music media with Thefourohfive.com claiming “The KVB have just delivered your album of the year.”
The band headlined multiple European tours in support of the record, with shows in Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Spain etc. As well as a West Coast USA tour in June and July 2012, including a set at the Part Time Punks Shoegaze Festival in Los Angeles.
In February 2013, The KVB released their second full length LP Immaterial Visions viaMinimal Wave sub label, Cititrax, along with an accompanying remix EP, featuring remixes from underground techno pioneers Regis and Silent Servant. This was followed by more extensive touring, including shows in Russia and Ukraine.Tjinder Singh and Ben Ayres of Cornershop’s label, Ample Play, released the digital single, “Run Away” on September 30, 2013. Crystal Antlers' New Album Streaming on NYT

Crystal Antlers are excited to premiere their new track "Licorice Pizza" via The Fader today. This is the second single off the band's upcoming debut Nothing is Real (out October 15 on Innovative Leisure), which The Fader raves "is shot through with enough stumbling-over-itself energy and voice-cracking screams to make you feel like you're listening in on some raw, undiscovered punk band. It's as young-at-heart as its title ... but it's got the kind of catchy simplicity that in reality can be very difficult to achieve."

Scandinavian free jazz, garage trio, The Thing -- Mats Gustafsson (bass, baritone, tenor and soprano saxophones), Ingebrigt Håker Flaten (electric bass) and Paal Nilssen-Love (drums) - are releasing
BOOT!
, their most hard-hitting, open and epic release to date, on November 12th. It follows their collaborative release with Neneh Cherry, 2012's
The Cherry Thing
(Smalltown Supersound), and is their sixth studio album and the first album on their own label, The Thing Records. With dedicated fans in the rock, noise and jazz communities, BOOT! takes The Thing's music to new, uncompromising levels and continues to solidify The Thing's special and important position in the contemporary independent music world.
Recorded over three intense days, BOOT! breathes life and energy, capturing the deep riffs and distorted activities of the electric bass, the attack of the snare drum, the depth of the bass sax and epic lines of the tenor sax. It marks an important development in the trio's endless search of musical poetic meltdowns. Throughout, they transform their roots, combine their own free jazz and punk aesthetics with elements of Ethiopian music, soul, funk and noise, and re-work album-oriented material by Duke Ellington and John Coltrane. Take a listen via "India," premiered yesterday via The FADER .

Anne share new song from Jerusalem EP out 10/29
ANNE PREMIERE “BLONDE MEN” WITH NOISEY HERE
JERUSALEM EP OUT 10/29 ON RUN FOR COVER RECORDS

Portland-based project, Anne, please us with a new single, “Blonde Men” which Noisey premiered as "slinky and sexy" HERE. The track comes from the upcoming dark and dirty dance EP, Jerusalem, that's set for release on October 29 via Run For Cover Records. Combining vibing, moody synths with thumping electronic back beats, the EP marks a change in form as frontman David Lindell continues Anne into electronic territory. His vocals dip and tease between a lusty, bellowing baritone and a playful falsetto. Maintaining post-punk rhythmic tendencies and stepping out of the reverbed cloudiness of previous work, Lindell emerges with a collection of songs that carry a grinding, primal urgency.
Listen to “Blonde Men” on Souncloud HERE
(please post and share)
Thus far, Anne has released a slew of mixtapes and singles, most notably 2012's split 2x7" with San Francisco shoegazers Whirr and the EP 'Power Exchange' (both released on Run For Cover Records) and 2009's collection LP 'Dream Punx' (A389 Recordings).

"Some bands play chords, but the so-far-unstoppable Warlocks play clouds -- songs that swirl around you like smoke and probably leave a little haze in your head, too." - LA WEEKLY
The Warlocks release their first new album in 5 years, Skull Worship on November 26, 2013 through Zap Banana (Cargo Distribution). Stream and share “Dead Generation” at https://soundcloud.com/the-warlocks/dead-generation
Recorded over a 2 year period, Skull Worship is the Los Angeles-based band’s eighth album. The Warlocks construct a dense, more elaborate web of sound, layers of distortion and the occasional synth a la Silver Apples and Red Crayola. “Silver & Plastic” expands the band’s oeuvre into acoustic territory recalling T Rex. Other songs like “Endless Drops” turn to Hawkwind, Neu! and experimental rock for inspiration.“Not everything fits perfectly on this record,” describes singer Bobby Hecksher. “There are loose parts, fragmented sections and then it rocks all together. It's not perfectly polished like a lot of records out there. More like an expression of moments in time that drip together like a strange dream.”
Bobby continues, “I consider Skull Worship the final musical piece of the trilogy which started with Heavy Deavy Skull Lover , then The Mirror Explodes and now Skull Worship. They are all suppose to be connected with similar cord changes and fragmented weirdness.”

Bobby continues, “I consider Skull Worship the final musical piece of the trilogy which started with Heavy Deavy Skull Lover , then The Mirror Explodes and now Skull Worship. They are all suppose to be connected with similar cord changes and fragmented weirdness.”
