Deltron 3030 Release "Do You Remember" Video

Bulk Records is thrilled to reveal the video for "Do You Remember," from Deltron 3030's triumphant 2013 return Deltron 3030: Event II. The video features an old man in a futuristic wheelchair-turned-rocketship, spliced with clips of Del rapping as he walks contemplatively down a beach - it's as bizarre as it is apropos. It was premiered via  Noisey , who noted that there is "a weirdly beautiful feeling to the entire experience." "Do You Remember" is available for streaming and embed HERE.
Deltron 3030 has also announced some new dates for the summer as well, ranging all the way from the Celebrate Brooklyn concert series to the Garorock Festival Marmonde in France, including dates with the 16-piece 3030 Orchestra. See the full list of tour dates below.
Deltron 3030: Event II received much praise upon its release.  The New York Times  noted, "Del the Funky Homosapien hasn't lost his verbose velocity, and his partners retain their gift for brooding airs and funk grandeur."  Positing the new album alongside its predecessor,  FILTER  praised Deltron 3030: Event II as "a gem in its own merit."  XXL  lauded Del's MC skills, saying he "effervescently glides on and off beat and into double time while nonchalantly flipping sci-fi slang."  HipHopDX  called the record "a worthy follow-up, well-thought-out standalone project, and a very necessary commentary on society, government, and machinations by which the two interact."  Gizmodo  noted  "The best news in all of this is that after more than a decade of building anticipation, the new album holds up. Actually, it really holds up. The beats are no less incredible, and the lyrics are no less weird and compelling. In fact, there are a lot of parallels between this alien dreamscape and our own, which make the album feel especially relevant."

The band describe We Are Only What We Feel as "dark and beat-oriented." Songs such as "Down Under" and "Like The Wind" capture various styles, genres, and moods. "There's something that ties the sound of the songs together but they're all a little bit of different," Wappling says. "We never wanted to decide upon a genre or what the NONONO sound was. We just always go with what we felt like and what inspired us that day. You go from being happy to being sad to being shallow to being deep, so whatever mood we've been in that's what song will emerge." Adds Michel: "We would really like to make an emotional impact on people. All the songs come from the heart."
NONONO played their first official US shows this past fall in New York City for CMJ, championed by Billboard, who deemed them 'Best of CMJ 2013,' Grantland, TIME, Vogue, ELLE, Glamour, Refinery 29, Harper's Bazaar and NYLON, among others. Watch NONONO perform acoustic versions of "Pumpin Blood," "Like The Wind," and "Fire Without A Flame" for All Saints and Perez Hilton.

The band, consisting of four iconic players and musical peers, features Elliot Easton on lead guitar, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Clem Burke on drums, Wally Palmar on vocals and guitar and Andy Babiuk on bass. Co-produced by the band and Ed Stasium,The Empty Hearts is a raucous collection of tunes with each player's rock 'n' roll stripes on display- a bracing sound shaped by influences which span decades and include '50's American roots rock 'n' roll, 60's British invasion and 70's garage-punk.The album was recorded at Fab Gear Studios in Rochester, NY and also includes the Faces' Hall of Fame keyboardist Ian McLagan on Hammond organ and Wurlitzer. Billboard.com announced the release with an exclusive stream of the song "I Don't Want Your Love (If You Don't Want Me)". The Empty Hearts (a name coined by Little Steven from his secret list of unused band names), is a band who sound like musical cohorts-all came of age in the 70's and 80's music scenes and play by a DIY punk rock code of ethics.They are all connected having come together as a band of friends-Babiuk called up Palmar looking to start something new and shortly thereafter, Palmar connected with Burke who then brought in Easton. A self-proclaimed band of "rock and roll lifers", the chemistry clicked immediately.

Says Clem Burke: "Those common influences are what brought us together. We're survivors and lifers of rock 'n' roll. We take from everything that's come before musically. A lot of people have never heard or seen a band like this. There's a freshness to it, at the same time as it's a recollection of the past."

UK's Lola Colt grace us with their new video "Diamonds" via Noisey who've described it as a "drug-hazed rendezvous" HERE. The track is their second single from their upcomingUS EP debut, Vacant Hearts - out June 3rd on Black Tigress Records. Produced in part by Jim Sclavunos (member of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Grinderman, previously in The Cramps and Sonic Youth), the band also recently recorded their debut album with him which they plan to release at end of this year.   
Taking their name from a 60's spaghetti western, Lola Colt are a powerful and imposing six-piece with 3 girls and 3 guys, fronted by captivating Danish vocalist Gun. The band have sent their audiences into a frenzy with their powerful and captivating live performances, including sold out London shows and intoxicating sets at UK and European festivals. Their two singles, "Jackson" and debut "I Get High if You Get High" on Too Pure, have won them widespread fans at UK press and radio. 
Lola Colt originated as the song writing partnership of Gun and lead guitarist Matt, who came together through a long-standing love of vintage films and cinematic sound, as well as having freakishly similar record collections. Film scores have featured heavily in both their lives and continue to be a big influence in their music today. When Matt first started writing music, it was in the form of film scores and theatre productions. As the band developed into a six-piece, their earliest ideas were to create a soundtrack to a film that hadn't been written yet. 
Breaking out from their psychedelic underground beginnings, they are an impressive proposition live and they make certain every show feels like a special event. Visuals are a trademark feature of their live shows, where cinematic projections compliment a collection of unusual visual instruments used on stage. A VJ acts as a seventh member of the band with scripted sets performed in real time. The band have also picked up some unusual Asian instruments on their travels and vintage equipment which they "twist and torture with modern day effects and techniques to give them a unique sound". 
Lola Colt will be playing a string of UK festivals this year with plans to bring their performances to US audiences next year.

Little Dragon and Red Bull announce Nabuma Rubberband Derby

LITTLE DRAGON AND RED BULL ANNOUNCE NABUMA DERBY RACING SERIES
 
Record Stores Celebrate The Release Of Nabuma Rubberband By Hosting Rubberband-Powered Racer Series   photo by: Marco van Rijt  Little Dragon and Red Bull are proud to announce the Nabuma Derby, a national racing series hosted in record stores starting May 11th, just as Nabuma Rubberband hits the shelves. Participating independent record stores nationwide will hold racing derbies featuring rubberband-powered racers built and designed by fans. For those outside driving range of these derbies, there will also be a national contest where fans can create a Nabuma Derby racer and upload a photo to Instagram and hashtag #nabumaderby. The national contest will be solely based on the creative design of the car. Little Dragon will hand-pick a winner who will get 2 round trip flights and 2 tickets to Bonnaroo.
"When we did our signing at Amoeba Music in LA on Record Store Day, we were reminded of the creative energy and sense of community record stores provide" says Yukimi from Little Dragon. "So we were so excited to build on that, especially by partnering with Red Bull. Aside from all their support of new music, they are the perfect partner for the Nabuma Derby, it's whimsical marriage of their involvement in F1 and their own Flugtag events!"
For the regional derbies, full information and a list of stores can be found here. The fan with the fastest car at each derby will win a signed lithograph by the band as well as a custom trophy. The derbies will be held during the album's release week starting May 11th at Rough Trade in Brooklyn. For the nationwide contest, fans can enter by posting their car to Instagram or Tumblr using the hashtag #nabumaderby.

Hailed by  Paste  as a “13-song mission statement, a country record that banks on the kind of licks you’d hope to hear in Nashville without creeping into the territory of Music Row’s fabricated nostalgia” and described by the  AV Club  as “fiery takes on rebellion, surrender and romance,” Nashville renaissance woman Nikki Lane’s hotly anticipated sophomore album,  All Or Nothin’,  out now on New West Records, is racking up stellar reviews and turning heads. The album has garnered praise from  NPR , who premiered the album as a First Listen last week to  Elle , the  Nashville Scene  and  Flavorwire  who singled out the record as one “10 Albums You Need to Hear in May,” and exclaimed, “it’s the attitude that’s worth your time.”
 
Lane’s “bold, idiosyncratic sound,” as NPR put it, has won over radio as this week she set history for 2014 as the #1 most added at Americana radio this year with 35 first week adds. She also scored highest first week chart debut by an artist this year at#18.
 
Just off the road with Athens rockers The Whigs, Lane is now supporting alt-country Old 97’s on a West Coast run and will hit Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle andPortland this month. She will embark on a headline tour this summer that will kick off in June and take her to many major markets including Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, DC, and two nights in New York. Support will be provided by New Mexico singer/songwriter Max Gomez and the Wisconsin-based “north country” group Hugh Bob & The Hustle.
 
Produced by Dan Auerbach, who Lane met at her pop-up vintage clothing stall when he wanted to buy the 1940s hunting jacket she was wearing, All Or Nothin’ is a rousing collection of songs that  spans genres and eras and exudes with Lane's characteristic attitude and Southern swagger. “I wrote with so many amazing musicians on this album but Dan was really instrumental in helping me figure out the direction we were going for,” Lane says.
 
Over 12 tracks, Lane sings tales about misbehaving, wanton desires, heartache, love and lust. "It's always the right time to do the wrong thing," she repeats like a mantra during the infectious opener "Right Time" and that statement defines All Or Nothin' as good as anything will.
 
“I really consider this album to be a Nikki Lane mixtape of my thoughts and the sounds that I’m into so that’s why you can’t put it in a neat box,” Lane says. From the whimsical, dreamy sensation of “I Don’t Care” to the stripped-down acoustic duet withAuerbach, “Love’s On Fire,” to the plaintive ballad “Out of My Mind,” written with former touring partner J. Spaceman of Spiritualized and the woozy, blue-eyed soul of the title track, the album showcases the many sides of Lane and her diverse influences.
 
Like the thoughts and emotions behind them, Nikki Lane’s songs shift and ebb in the live setting but she promises whether she’s playing solo or with a full band she approaches each song “in the most badass way possible.” Full routing is below.
