Please find a complete list of tour dates below. In other news, we greatly encourage you to watch “Just J,” a short & informative conversation between J and his longtime friend (and Sub Pop’s vice president) Megan Jasper.More on J Mascis’ Tied to a Star (by Todd Berry):
It makes perfect sense that I was asked to write a bio for J Mascis. Let's face it, he and I have a long history. It all started the first time I saw him live. It was in New York City. I don't remember when or where, but I think he was walking around. I was probably walking around, too. The second time was also in New York, at a Mexican restaurant in the East Village (the one that takes credit cards now, but didn't used to). Years later I actually met him at the SXSW festival though a friend who works at Sub Pop. I guess that meeting went well, because when that friend from Sub Pop got married, she sat me at the same table as J. Sounds unbelievable? I suggest you look at the picture below. Now keep staring at that picture until August 26th. That's when J's new acoustic album Tied to a Star comes out on Sub Pop records. It features appearances by Ken Maiuri, Pall Jenkins, Mark Mulcahy, and Chan Marshall. Had I been in the area, I'm sure I would've been asked to play on it, too (read more at Sub Pop).J Mascis

Get A Jump On World Cup Jams With Fatboy Slim
"Fatboy Slim Presents Bem Brasil"The Unofficial Soundtrack to the 2014 World CupOut Today on Astralwerks
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Diplo & Fatboy Slim (Ft. Bonde Do Role & Pin) "Eparrei" https://soundcloud.com/fatboyslim/dimitri-vegas-like-mike-diplo-fatboy-slim-eparrei
Featuring brand new tracks and remixes by DJ Fresh, Gregor Salto, Psychemagik, Eats Everything, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Claude Von Stroke, Joey Negro The World Cup may not begin until later this week but the party has now officially started. Today sees the release of "Fatboy Slim Slim Presents Bem Brasil" on Astralwerks and with only days left before ball meets boot in Brazil, Fatboy and his compatriots are here to get the party started early.Combining his love for music and football, Fatboy has delivered a lovingly curated collection of music encapsulating the soundtrack to this year's biggest event... The World Cup. "Bem Brasil" (roughly translated as 'Very Brasil') pays homage to Brasilian music and culture both on and off the dance floor. The 'unofficial soundtrack to this summer'sees Fatboy bringing together friends and respected peers from the international dance scene to produce a collection which features remixes of classic Brasilian music and brand new material. The eclectic line-up reflects Fatboy Slim's lifetime at the cutting edge of international dance music. From friends who have been there from the start such asCarl Cox and John Digweed, to the new generation who cite Norman as a major influence such asNervo and Psychemagik.
Fatboy's collaboration with Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, and Diplo, "Eparrei", stands out as a highlight of this diverse record. The track is an un-paralleled slice of electro mambo, fusing the cutting edge EDM of the two award winning brothers and Diplo with Bonde Do Role's unique take on local Brasilian 'funk carioca'. Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike have amassed 8 #1 Beatport Records as well as hosted the legendary festival Tomorrowland, while Bonde Do Role has supported the Brasilian phenom CSS on tour across South America. "Eparrei" is a multinational anthem sure to scorch dance floors and ignite the party across the world.
The concept behind Bem Brasil is to capture both sides of the Brasilian lifestyle, Night and Day, and to express Norman's love for the country and the culture. This led Fatboy Slim to split the album into two separate discs of music, each one personifying one of these distinct atmospheres.
The first disc, 'Para Noite/Night Time', is the sound of Brasil's nightlife. A full on line up of absolute party bangers from the likes DJ Fresh, Fedde Le Grand, Nervo, Fatboy Slim himself and many more. 'Para Noite' is the sound of carnivals, late night beach raves and the bustling bars of Rio andSão Paulo.
The second disc, 'Para Dia/Day Time', represents the chilled, sun kissed vibes of Rio during the day. It's the waves crashing lazily on Flamingo beach and the best chillout tunes pouring from every bar. 'Para Dia' features legends such as John Digweed, Carl Cox, Greg Wilson and Claude Vonstrokewho each bring their individual style to the mix.

Plastikman - EX NEW ALBUM-LISTEN NOW
PLASTIKMAN – EX
(Recorded live at the Guggenheim, NYC)
Listen to the New Album HERE
Digital out on June 10th Vinyl, CD & LTD Edition Subpac Bundle out July 15
PLASTIKMAN at Sónar in Barcelona–June 12th

In the week of Plastikman ’s exclusive show at Sónar on Thursday June 12th, listen to the eagerly anticipated new album, EX - his first album release since 2003’s Closer – here.
EX is out now digitally and released on vinyl, CD and limited edition SubPac bundle on July 15th, 2014. In addition to the vinyl, CD and digital releases, Plastikman has teamed up with SubPac to create a Limited Edition Premium Bundle. The album will be presented on vinyl, with a signed certificate of authenticity and a custom Plastikman edition of the SubPac S1. SubPac is a unique portable bass system that allows an immersive music experience. When you’re using the SubPac, the powerful bass and sub-bass frequencies – the sensations you usually only get in a club situation – are reproduced meaning you can actually FEEL the music. For more information, go to www.thesubpac.com
Plastikman , aka Richie Hawtin recorded EX at the Guggenheim, New York’s iconic art museum. This very special performance was at the invitation of influential Belgium fashion designer and artistic director at Dior, Raf Simons, for the Guggenheim’s annual fundraiser, performed around a specially constructed LED obelisk.
Richie Hawtin explains, “I knew that Raf was a long time Plastikman fan so by accepting his offer to perform at the Dior event at the Guggenheim I knew I’d set myself up to a huge challenge. Although Raf was happy to have the already complete Plastikman Live 1.5 show, I locked myself away in a series of intense studio sessions and quickly recorded enough new material for the performance and realized I might also have enough for a complete new album. The music came out of me effortlessly as I was very inspired by the opportunity to play in this beautiful architectural space renowned more for art than music. The location also allowed me to step far away from the dancefloor, giving me a huge amount of freedom to EXplore any sonic ideas that I had. Art, music, architecture, painting, sculpture – these mediums are supposed to live together.”
EX is released digitally on June 10th and on vinyl, CD and limited edition SubPac bundle on July 15th. In addition to the vinyl, CD and digital releases, Plastikman has teamed up with SubPac to create a Limited Edition Premium Bundle . The album will be presented on vinyl, with a signed certificate of authenticity and a custom Plastikman edition of the SubPac S1. When you’re using the SubPac, the powerful bass and sub-bass frequencies – the sensations you usually only get in a club situation – are reproduced meaning you can actually FEEL the music.
Richie Hawtin explains, “By introducing the physical dimension of sound, the SubPac creates a direct connection between the fan and the music in its purest form, allowing a deeper appreciation for the music we all love. As with all Plastikman albums, there is a lot of sonic information in the lower frequency range, that make the SubPac a perfect listening accompaniment in order to fully appreciate the experience.”
For more information, go to http://www.thesubpac.com
Plastikman will perform only one show this year, at Sónar on June 12th. New tracks will be presented at the Barcelona festival, pushing the boundaries of techno, offering a synchronicity of art and sound, a place for electronica that’s both cinematic and thought provoking. Plastikman’s career has pushed at the frontiers of dance music, rejecting first the endless drive for faster speeds and, later, the blatant pop aspirations in favor of more imagination and more musical engagement.
Richie Hawtin is many things – an extraordinary DJ, creator of the ENTER experience, mastermind behind the M_nus label, technological innovator, art aficionado – in 2011 he collaborated with British sculptor Anish Kapoor for an installation in Paris - and style icon. Before this, though, and perhaps most famously of all, he was and is Plastikman, an electronic music phenomenon whose followers are legion and fanatic.
Between 1993 and 2003, Plastikman created an astonishing body of work, one that didn't so much define a time and place as explode them, expanding the dimensions of Detroit techno and redefining the possibilities of electronic dance music. Across six albums ( Sheet One , Musik , Recycled Plastik , Consumed , Artifakts (B.C.) and Closer ) and numerous singles such as “Spastik”, “Plastique” and “Sickness”, Plastikman evolved into one of contemporary electronic music’s most distinctive voices: minimalist, psychedelic, seriously groove-laden, and ever mindful of the transcendent properties of electronica.
Plastikman was never going to be a heritage dance act and this latest renaissance opens doors few never knew existed, showcasing a master at work.
EX is released digitally on June 10th and on vinyl, CD and limited edition SubPac bundle on July 15th.

SubPac is a unique portable bass system that allows an immersive music experience. When you’re using the SubPac, the powerful bass and sub-bass frequencies – the sensations you usually only get in a club situation – are reproduced meaning you can actually FEEL the music.

Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas Announce Debut Album
Jessica Hernandez & The DeltasANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM SECRET EVILPASTE MAGAZINE PREMIERES NEW SONG "TIRED OAK"
Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are thrilled to announce the release of their debut album Secret Evil, out August 19th on legendary producer's Richard Gottehrer label Instant Records.Produced by Latin GRAMMY Award-winner Milo Froideval, Secret Evil is the debut album from this electrifying Detroit-based band, and the follow up to their 2013 EP Demons that caught the attention of NPR, Rolling Stone and Ladygunn Magazine for what PopMatters raves as "equal parts sexy and campy, baroque and vaudevillian, grimy and nasty, theatrical and intimate, all the things you'd expect from a band whose Facebook page lists Tom Waits and Gogol Bordello as their influences."Secret Evil sees Hernandez and her five man Deltas serving up a dizzyingly polyglot sonic stew - equal parts rockabilly and surf pop, cabaret jazz and funky reggae, Latin psych and Gypsy punk - all cooked up on the hot Motor City pavement and seasoned by that distinctly Detroit combination of blasted R&B and limitless rock 'n' soul energy.Songs like "Caught Up," "No Place To Hide" and "Tired Oak" showcase Hernandez's unstoppable vocals and breathe of musical ambition, braiding contemporary pop thrills with an original and unmistakable creative persona all her own.Listen to "Tired Oak" on Paste Magazine - a song which they rave has "a touch of everything: snatches of breezy pop and rebellious punk mingle with freeform jazz, the grit of Detroit rock 'n' roll and the big, theatrical sound of a Broadway revue... incredibly talented"Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are currently spending every minute on the road captivating concertgoers with their dynamic live performances. Stagnant Pools Sophomore album Geist out Today
Stagnant Pools Sophomore Album
Geist Out Today On Polyvinyl Records On Tour This Summer with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Listen: "You Whir" via StereogumStream: Geist at The AV ClubStagnant Pools' sophomore album is out on Polyvinyl Records. Geist is available now on CD, LP, digitally and cassette and can be ordered now in the Polyvinyl online store. Last week, The AV Club published an exclusive album stream and said Geist should be of interest to fans of Joy Division, Sonic Youth, and The Jesus And Mary Chain." Earlier, this spring Stereogum premiered "You Whir" from Geist and said the track "sounds something like Swans on an MBV kick." The Aquarian Weekly recently said, "From beginning to end, this full-length continues to raise the bar higher and higher from each transition. And by the time you reach the end of this celestial record, it is guaranteed that you want to listen to Geist over and over again on constant repeat." Stagnant Pools is currently on tour with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. All upcoming shows are listed below.Following the release of their debut full-length Temporary Room in the fall of 2012, Stagnant Pools embarked on several high profile tours supporting the likes of David Bazan, Maximo Park, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Japandroids and more. All that time spent on the road exposed brothers Bryan (guitar/vocals) and Douglass Enas (drums) to a world outside their Indiana-based upbringing and introduced them to a slew of like-minded people. The experience of playing so many shows also gave the sibling duo a fresh perspective on their strengths and weaknesses as a band, feedback the pair took to heart while spending last year working on new material. In January the siblings traveled two hours from their hometown of Indianapolis to the Champaign, IL-based studio run by Hum guitarist/vocalist Matt Talbott -- a short trip that quickly grew hazardous when a blizzard blanketed the region with snow, temperatures dipped further below zero than they had in decades, and roadsides became littered with stranded vehicles. After braving this grueling display of nature to arrive intact, the band hunkered down to finish their sophomore release, Geist. Four days later, they emerged having spent two days recording and two days mixing the record -- all completely analog. The result is ten songs that refine and expand on a shoegaze-meets-noise pop sound that has previously drawn comparisons to Joy Divison, Sonic Youth, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Lead single "Intentions" continues in this tradition of pushing droning guitars barely over the edge into melody and amping up the fuzz and distortion without becoming submerged in it. Geist is anchored by "Filed Down," a track that showcases increased vocal variety and spastic drumming, and highlighted by "Dots and Lines," where a sunny guitar line shines brightly on a soaring chorus and persistent drum beat. Recording the album live to tape will surely prove to have been good practice, because now that the album's complete all that's left to do is pile back in the van and hit the road again. "There's something affirming about touring a lot," says Douglass. "It's kind of a concrete way of knowing that you are in forward motion."Stagnant Pools Geist Track List

In preparation for their first-ever US tour with METZ and Cloud Nothings, as well as their full-length debutAnnabel Dream Reader (out August 26th), The Wytches are excited to announce a limited edition 7" with A-Side "Wire Frame Mattress" and B-Side "The Holy Tightrope." 250 copies will be available on July 7th, and can be purchased from the band on tour, or via http://shop.partisanrecords.com/products/wire-frame-mattress-7.
Formed in Brighton in 2011,The Wytches comprises Kristian Bell (vocals, guitar), Dan Rumsey (bass, vocals) and Gianni Honey (drums). Led by Bell's luminous lyricism, feral delivery and overdriven, surf-like guitar bends, the trio create a sound that is at once raucous and unruly, and yet decorated with semi-automatic poetry and authentic emotional clout.
Having left Peterborough after feeling stifled by their hometown's inward-looking hardcore scene, Bell and the semi-professional poker playing Honey relocated to Brighton in the autumn of 2011, applying to the city's university before enlisting Bournemouth-raised, aspiring adventure novelist Rumsey on bass - the sole applicant of an advert placed on campus. From the outset promoting their own shows in the city, The Wytches have never lost the DIY spirit of their hardcore origins: arranging their own tours; printing flyers; pressing their first single, "Digsaw;" inviting friend of the band Samuel Gull to create their artwork; and producing their own videos - all in spite of squeezed funds.
It is this relentlessness and resilience that has led to The Wytches headlining countless shows across the UK and Europe to date, acting as chief support to Blood Red Shoes, The Cribs, Drenge, METZ, Japandroids, amongst others. In 2013 the band released a number of singles and EPs on London's Hate Hate Hate Records ("Beehive Queen," Thunder Lizard Revisited EP, "Robe for Juda"), before attracting the attention of Heavenly Recordings in the UK and Partisan Records in the USA, who will release their debut album, Annabel Dream Reader, on August 25 (UK) / August 26 (US).
Recorded at Liam Watson's 8-track analogue ToeRag Studios in Hackney, Annabel Dream Reader was tracked in two days under the supervision of producer Bill Ryder-Jones (ex-The Coral). Comprising thirteen songs, Annabel Dream Reader sees the three-piece accomplish a dark and heady sound that embraces the black arts and the more extreme limits of rock, but which is never prescriptively macabre. Far from it, the band displays a broadness of influences - all at once the songs reference surf, grunge, metalcore, spy movie scores.
Bell admits to being inspired more by singer-songwriters (Elliott Smith, Leonard Cohen, Roland S. Howard) than specific bands, and already he is an assured manipulator of his tools, combining Egyptianesque harmonic-minor scales with vivid, assonant wordplay, and utilising his voice as an instrument in its own right. Recording to rolling magnetic tape at ToeRag - with little room for error - lends an honesty and immediacy to the trio's performances, while Ryder-Jones supplies the softer songs with flourishes of organ, and allows the self-confessed 'obnoxiously heavy' sections to detonate freely.
Not ones to rest on their laurels, The Wytches admit a strong desire to erase and 'switch up' their sound with each album - plans are already afoot for a more intricate, more instrumentally diverse second record. Returning from Austin's SXSW Festival on a wave of praise from the likes of The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, FUSE, SPIN and Flavorwire, the band will continue touring extensively throughout 2014 - taking in the UK, Europe and the USA - while promoting Annabel Dream Reader and untethering a slew of singles beginning with a limited edition cassette, "Gravedweller," their first for Partisan/Heavenly.
