UNDERWORLD share deep unreleased track 'BLOODY 1'

UnderworldSecond Toughest In The InfantsRemastered album out November 20th (CD/double vinyl/2 xCD deluxe/4xCD super-deluxe) through Universal Music Catalogue
Stream Bloody 1 via YouTube and Vevo.
Originally released in March 1996, Second Toughest In The Infants is Underworld’s masterpiece. Following 1994’s groundbreaking predecessor dubnobasswithmyheadman (the record that cemented the band’s reputation as one of the UK’s most important dance acts), Second Toughest… was the point they forged out alone, in turn creating some of the most forward thinking electronic music this country has ever produced. This reissue sees the album remastered for the first time for a series of special editions that collects together for the first time rare singles, remixes and unreleased studio and live tracks.
Second Toughest… is the perfect hybrid of man and machine. It’s a record that crackles with the frantic energy of pirate stations half tuned on FM dials; one that strolls through grimy cities at night and ducks between dog tracks and neon-lit all-night stores. Lyrically, it’s voyeurism from the molten core of the dancefloor – a place where fragments of overheard conversations are hand spliced to fizzling, sparking rhythm tracks to create a strange, dizzying, inimitable form of music.
Although informed by the nascent drum’n’bass scene, minimalist composition and the European techno underground, Second Toughest… only ends up sounding like Underworld. It’s a truly unique album – the sound of Rick Smith, Karl Hyde and Darren Emerson working at the height of their powers, utterly unaffected by the prevailing trends of the time and creating properly peerless music.
Described as a ‘modern classic’ by Mojo, the album was awarded full marks in Select, The Face and Muzik (R.I.P.), given a near perfect scores in NME, Q and Mixmag and nominated for the Mercury Prize and several Brit Awards. The album charted at No 9 and produced one Top 30 single (Pearl’s Girl). In the year of Second Toughest…’s release, Underworld reissued 1995’s Born Slippy (Nuxx) on the back of the massively successful film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting. That single sold over a million copies in the UK, spent 41 weeks on the charts after peaking at No 2 and would go on to be voted Single of the Year in the NME and Melody Maker.
As with dubnobasswithmyheadman, the reissue of Second Toughest In The Infants sees the original album remastered for the first time (at Abbey Road). The extra discs feature non-album singles, B-sides and remixes from the time as well as a selection of previously unreleased tracks that provide a fascinating insight into the creative process around the record. The fourth disc on the super-deluxe version features the seven unreleased recordings that map out the genesis of Born Slippy (Nuxx). They take the iconic track from earliest embryonic studio version through to a final extended mix via several previously unheard live versions from 1994.

Los Angeles’ female grunge-rock power duo Deap Vally have recently released their gritty new single “Royal Jelly,” produced by Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, to a great deal of critical acclaim. They also unleashed the stylistically noir “Royal Jelly” official video which  featured designer/model/fashion icon Georgia May Jagger.
Deap Vally’s growling guitar and percussive pop-chops set both the studio and the stage ablaze. The band paid a visit to Blind Blind Tiger to perform the catchy new single live! They also spoke with BUST Magazine who premiered the “Royal Jelly” live video today . We encourage you to post and share!
Deap Vally released their debut album Sistrionix in 2013 that received critical praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, SPIN, NME, The Guardian + more and was revered for its garage punk brutalism.  With a new record in the works for 2016, be sure to stay tuned for more!

Los Angeles, CA - November 19, 2015 - Select Hospitality and Design (SH&D) - the hospitality company founded by Matthew Hechter and Christopher Brandon - has enlisted Albert Hammond Jr. (guitarist from The Strokes and acclaimed solo artist) and superstar/SH&D partnerJoe Jonas (DNCE, Jonas Brothers)to serve as official music curators for the group's portfolio of properties, which includes The Heyward in Brooklyn, NY and Hinterland, which recently opened in Santa Monica, CA. They will be responsible for all sound design at these locations, including building custom playlists and curating live music experiences, as well as at future SH&D projects. The two musicians have created sampler playlists, which premiered today on Spotify, to highlight some of their first musical selections for SH&D's locations. See below for a list of featured tracks and listening links.
"Music has always been foundational to Select," noted Matthew Hechter. "When we started, Chris and I personally handpicked the music for all of the restaurants because we wanted it to be a core part of the experience. And, all of our projects in development have some sort of major music element attached to them."
"When Matt approached me about curating vibes at his upcoming and existing restaurants, I couldn't help but see it as an awesome opportunity to share music that excites me with a clientele that has a similar passion for new discoveries. We're starting small, but it has the potential to grow into something very unique and multi-faceted. Matt, Chris and the rest of the SH&D team have a wonderful vision," said Albert Hammond Jr.
"I'm honored to join the brilliant team at Select. They're great friends and we share the same vision of creating a welcome, laid-back atmosphere for our guests," commented Joe Jonas.
Hammond Jr. and Jonas will be involved with the design, build and programming of a recording studio that will be part of the group's new boutique hotel concept in Upstate New York. In addition, they will program a slate of acts for the live music venue adjacent to PBLC TRDE, SH&D's Japanese-inspired pizza restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA, which is slated to open before the end of 2015. The pair will also see that music is infused into the culinary experiences that Select will be designing for several major music festivals.

Going separate ways after high school, the two crossed paths again and joined forces to open successful New York restaurant, Hudson Clearwater with two other partners. Soon after, the duo brought on Marcus Childress and formed Select Hospitality and Design, to continue pursuing new hospitality projects. With extensive design and restaurant experience, Hechter and Brandon serve as managing partners, while Childress utilizes his experience in financial management in his role as CFO.  Together, the team opened The Heyward at a Brooklyn site that was formerly home to the iconic music venue Zebulon. In 2015, they opened the popular coastal New American restaurant, Hinterland, located on Main Street in Santa Monica. Tricky shares new track as Skilled Mechanics, announces album

TRICKY SHARES NEW TRACK "DIVING AWAY" AS SKILLED MECHANICS
ANNOUNCES DEBUT SKILLED MECHANICS ALBUM IN COLLABORATION WITH DJ MILO & LUKE HARRIS
SKILLED MECHANICS DUE JAN 22ND VIA TRICKY'S FALSE IDOLS LABEL

Skilled Mechanics: DJ Milo, Tricky & Luke HarrisSTREAM: "Diving Away" https://youtu.be/lwPgXHGKlOE
Today, Tricky is sharing new single "Diving Away" under the name Skilled Mechanics, his new collaborative project that will feature a rotating cast of contributors from project to project. The song's release and his announcement of the new alias comes alongside news that the debut, self-titled Skilled Mechanics album will be released on January 22nd via Tricky's own False Idols label.
For this first Skilled Mechanics album, Tricky has teamed up with the legendary DJ Milo and Luke Harris. Together they are sharing "Diving Away," which is a cover of Porno For Pyros' "Porpoise Head" reimagined. Stream that above now and see below for more info about Skilled Mechanics and all forthcoming album information.

About Tricky and Skilled Mechanics:
Tricky embraces change. He keeps on moving; keeps on switching up a gear; keeps on mutating... keeps on evolving. It's what keeps him vital as an artist.
After moving to Berlin early this Spring, he immediately started work on a new musical project called Skilled Mechanics. In his trademark husky West Country burr, the Bristol born musician, producer and rapper explains where the name came from: "It's from a documentary about espionage. There was an ex-C.I.A. agent on this programme speaking about assassins who were sent abroad by the US to start revolutions and topple governments. He called them 'skilled mechanics'. I thought that was a great name for someone who was a killer basically. The name was so dark and cynical it just stuck with me." Luckily for us, the only 'killing' Tricky is doing this year is in the studio and on the mic with Skilled Mechanics' self-titled debut which is coming out on his own record label False Idols. For most musicians, stopping working as a solo artist and forming a band is a sign that they're sick of the spotlight but in typically perverse fashion, perhaps the opposite is true for Tricky. He explains that some people have been voicing their frustration with him for his habit of often playing second fiddle to his various female co-singers: "People have been asking me for years, 'Will you ever take charge vocally? Will you ever lead as the singer on one of your albums?'  On Adrian Thaws, my last album, I came to the forefront vocally. I was more in your face on three of the tracks but I wanted to build even further towards a catalogue of songs where I didn't rely on a girl singer. But I realised it would be hard to do under the name Tricky because people would always associate that name with me using a female singer. "I haven't been alone at the front of the stage on my own since before I released my first albumMaxinquaye 20 years ago. I needed to change. It is good to change and to keep on pushing yourself." So he formed Skilled Mechanics, a loose collaborative project that would allow him to work with many different artists, while at the same time pushing his unique vocal talents to the forefront. The most prominent of these collaborators on the new record is DJ Milo, who is not only one of his oldest friends, but also the first person he ever recorded with -- not to mention his introduction to The Wild Bunch. Talking about the seminal Bristol sound system crew who were pivotal in launching the careers of Massive Attack and Soul II Soul founder Nellee Hooper, Tricky says: "When I was eight years old, I lived with my aunt and Milo did as well. She was like a stepmother to him. He was about 16 and already putting on parties with The Wild Bunch. They would be playing at St Paul's Festival in Bristol and he'd get me to come down and appear on the mic. It wasn't battle rapping or cussing people's mothers. It was just about who had the best rhymes, the best flow and the best lyrics." "I used to practice with Milo round at Daddy G from Massive Attack's house. I can remember we did a cassette. This was the first time I ever released music and this tape went all around Bristol. He would be cutting up a break and I'd rap over it. But me and him went very well together. There was a little bit of magic about it. That night after the St Paul's Festival, we had a party at G's house and it was just me on the mic and Milo on the decks and it was only about 20 or 30 people in the house. At first you could have heard a pin drop, but then they just went mad. And then I realised, maybe, that this was for me." The pair have worked on the odd white label or underground track since but this is the first major project they've undertaken together. Tricky says: "Milo is on five of the tracks. Some of the tracks I did with him sound like old school hip hop but not dated - very modern. We talked about it for many years but before now the timing wasn't right." Another major player on the album is Luke Harris, Tricky's regular drummer, but his presence was almost accidental. "We were on tour recently and the band were soundchecking while I was in the dressing room. I could hear the vocals loud and clear but then my regular singer, Francesca Belmonte walked past the dressing room. I thought, 'What the fuck?' So I went out to have a look and there was my drummer filling in for her on vocals because she needed the bathroom. There and then I said to him, 'Do you know what? On my next project you're going to be my vocalist...'" One of the tracks that Luke sings on is an unlikely cover of 'Bother' by Corey Taylor - who is better known as front man of the heavy rock band Stone Sour and a member of horror masked nu-metal act Slipknot. Tricky laughs: "I imagine people will be surprised at this. But when Luke and I went into the studio I knew he could sing but I didn't know what kind of voice he had. I had to know so I could write for it in the future. So I said we should cover a song he really loved. And he said that when he was really young he used to listen to this song all the time, on his headphones. So we covered it because he was obsessed by it." The album contains another cover version, "Diving Away", which is a version of 'Porpoise Head' by Porno For Pyros. Tricky explains: "I toured with them in Australia in 1996. My daughter Mazy, who was about four years of age, was with us and she had frontman Perry Farrell wrapped round her little finger. He took all of us to Sealand in Australia. So there was me and Porno For Pyros all trying to get her pram onto the Australian metro. But how many big artists would do something beautiful like that? I think it speaks volumes about him. So I've got a lot of love for Perry Farrell and I've always wanted to cover one of his songs." As well as guest appearances from firey Chinese rapper Ivy 艾菲; London based singer Renata Platon and Danish singer songwriter Oh Land, the album also contains the vocal talents of Tricky's current creative foil, Francesca Belmonte, on the track 'We Begin'. Tricky has also found time to write his most personal, confessional song to date, the future single 'Boy'. He explains: "All the problems I have now are because of my childhood. I went to Bristol at Christmas time a couple of years ago and I ended up having an asthma attack. My eldest daughter drove down to the hospital to collect me and I said, 'I think it's because I've eaten something.' And she said, 'No it's not. You're remembering stuff. It's because you've come back to Bristol, you're being reminded of stuff.' It's obvious really. Most of my problems stem from when I was a kid. "The first time I remember seeing my mum was in an open, glass topped coffin in my grandmother's house. I was about four years of age and she was in the room opposite mine. I found my dad in the phone book when I was 12 years of age. For some reason I used to sit in my auntie's house and go through the phone book. This says to me that I was looking for an identity. Looking for myself. I found someone who had the same last name as me and my aunt said, 'That's your dad. Why don't you give him a call?' I used to go and see him and he would literally forget my name. It's almost like I could have written this track 20 years ago but it was something that had to come out eventually, I had to put it down. But everything on that track is true. Every word on Boy is actual fact." Skilled Mechanics is the statement of a true original British talent - one who will never coast on his former achievements and will always keep on changing and adapting to face the future.

This Heat | Full Discography Reissue

This Heat | Full Discography Reissue This Heat, circa 1981. Photograph by Lesley Evans. Courtesy of This Heat.Isn’t it so often the case that the most innovative works of art – the ones that break the ground where others follow – are the ones that seem to reach only the ears of those who take those ideas and run with them? So it is with  This Heat , who from the forefront of experimental music, sowed the seeds of post-punk, avant rock, noise rock and post-rock.

We are very proud to announce that our latest archival series is of this experimental, Brixton trio's 1979-1981 discography. In honor of their 40th anniversary we're reissuing their  self-titled debut  album, their EP  Health & Efficiency , and their masterpiece  Deceit . In these albums,  This Heat  concocted some of the most experimental ideas ever committed to tape, taking influence from musique concrète, krautrock, the burgeoning industrial scene and even the dub reggae blasting out in their home borough.

Given the difficult, abrasive, and involved nature of their sound,  This Heat  never found anything approaching mainstream success, but their influence is immeasurable and those who love them love them fiercely. This first ever official vinyl reissue was produced with the full co-operation of band members Charles Bullen and Charles Hayward. Four decades on,  This Heat  is still a revelation. “The Beatles of modern experimental music.”
- Damon McMahon (Amen Dunes)“This Heat made a beautiful/ferocious noise like no other band before or since – and their records still sound entirely modern today.”
- Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip)This Heat sounded like the future then… and still do now."
- Dan Snaith (Caribou) All three albums are available for preorder now, and will be available for immediate purchase January 22nd.A bundle of all 3 This Heat color editions is available for a discounted price.Pre-order color editions (300 copies each): This Heat : “Blue/Yellow” split color wax Deceit : “Red/Black Nuclear Swirl” color waxPre-order bundle edition,  Health & Efficiency : custom “H&E Blue” color wax. Pussy Riot "Refugees In" new music video filmed at Banksy's Dismaland

“REFUGEES IN”
PUSSY RIOT LIVE @ BANKSY’S DISMALAND
video
HERE

Behind the scenes photos HERE credit needed
"Vianney Le Caer for Pussy Riot"

Today’s Europe faces a big new challenge. The current refugee crisis will become a defining issue of our generation. Pussy Riot feels this European challenge as their own.

Over 750,000 refugees have arrived in Europe so far in 2015. Many more are coming. They are mostly escaping from war or persecution in Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Sudan. Thousands are dying on the way. In the UK, for example, refugees cannot apply for asylum from outside the country – so they are forced to travel there illegally.

Why can’t we live in a truly global world, not one with locked borders, razor wires and refugee camps? History has shown that migrants can be innovative and entrepreneurial. Look at the US for an example of a whole culture built on the input of immigrants and migrants.

Thousands of ordinary people across Europe are trying to help, but most governments are not matching their efforts. We believe in solidarity with human beings in need, wherever they are from, whatever their background. This is not a question of politics or nationality, but of saving human lives.

The music video “Refugees In” is dedicated to the  refugees and was filmed on September 25th, 2015 during the Pussy Riot performance at Banksy's Dismaland with the generous help from director Ralf Schmerberg and music producersbretonLABSTen Ven and Alexandre Parsons.

Pussy Riot have joined forces with London-based art-group The Connor Brothers (Mike Snelle and James Golding) who have started the NGO "Refugee Response Foundation" to help the refugees in Calais. Pussy Riot will visit Calais in January 2016 to build shelters in association with students from the architecture department at Cambridge University to help the housing problem.

ISIS will win if Europe rejects the value of multi-culturalism and is terrified by the threats of extreme-right politicians. When Europe closes its borders, it will tumble back to the previous century; the era of nationalism.

If Europe closes the borders hundreds of thousands of Muslims, putting on the line everything they have to escape radical Muslim state, will never be able to see another world. Some of them will join that very ISIS, being embittered and disappointed in the good will of European states. We should accept and save those who flee countries occupied by terrorists. The time of grief for the dead should not become a time in which we betray the belief of millions in the humanity of the European world. Our grief should not teach us to aim for revenge, war and hate. It should teach us to help and show real compassion for each other.

Pussy Riot is now recording several pieces of music, the main idea is to oppose the right-wing conservative curtain that seems to be falling globally, no longer just affecting Russia but countries across Europe and the US. Neo–facist parties in Europe, Donald Trump in the US, the rise of Germany's AfD; it’s fucking scary. And it’s the reason and it’s the time to be loud and proud of your feminist, LGBTQ and pro-refugees values.

"We are planning to release a lot of disturbing videos next year, we hope that you will not like them." Nadya Tolokonnikova of Pussy Riot says.

Met in Europe by razor wires, Governments here fucking liars Desperate people who need to flee Seeking refuge by land and sea Push for borders, get no peace Fuck the police like we’re in greece

Cage me in cage me out
Refugees in, nazis out
Governments here should feel the shame Fucking liars, you're to blame

Fuck the police
