Mudcrutch Announce New Album, Share Single; Headline Tour Details

MUDCRUTCH ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "2"  OUT MAY 20THALBUM PRE-ORDER AND FIRST SINGLE, "TRAILER," AVAILABLE NOW
NATIONAL HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF MAY 26TH IN DENVER March 25, 2016 - Mudcrutch announced their second album entitled "2" will be released by Reprise Records on May 20th. The album is the follow up to the band's 2008 eponymous debut which Rolling Stone called "a country-rock instant classic" in a rave four star review. The new album, produced by band members Tom Petty and Mike Campbell with Ryan Ulyate, is available now for pre-order on MudcrutchMusic.com.  Fans who pre-order the digital format of the album, or the vinyl format on the band's official website, will receive downloads of three tracks, including the first single "Trailer," in advance of the May 20th album release date.   Mudcrutch has also announced their first national tour, starting at Denver's Ogden Theater on May 26th. Tickets for all headline shows go on-sale Friday, April 1st (10am local venue time) and every online ticket purchased for the headline tour includes a CD copy of the new album, "2.
Los Angeles-based rock band The Shelters, who will release their debut album on Warner Bros. Records this summer, will support all tour dates. Mudcrutch was initially formed in 1970 in Gainesville, Florida and is the precursor to the legendary Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Tom Petty (bass/vocals), Tom Leadon (guitar/vocals), Benmont Tench (keyboards/vocals), Mike Campbell (guitar/vocals), and Randall Marsh (drums/vocals) make up the band's current line up. In 1974, Mudcrutch was signed to Shelter Records and moved to Los Angeles where they released one single, "Depot Street," to very little fanfare. The band broke up in 1975 and could have settled for being a legend, but instead Mudcrutch rose from the ashes in 2008 to remind us that the golden age of rock and roll bands still had a few treasures to unearth. Their debut, made some thirty-three years later, was an unexpected hit.  All members of Mudcrutch contribute songs on their new album "2." The album includes seven originals written by Tom Petty, with band members Mike Campbell, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh and Benmont Tench composing one each. In celebration of Record Store Day, the first single "Trailer", written by Petty, with b-side "Beautiful World," written by Randall Marsh, will be released at participating indie record stores as a limited edition vinyl 7 inch on April 16th. "2" Album Tracklist:     Trailer     Dreams of Flying     Beautiful Blue     Beautiful World     I Forgive It All     The Other Side Of The Mountain     Hope     Welcome To Hell     Save Your Water    Victim of Circumstance    Hungry No More Mudcrutch 2016 Tour Dates:                                Thursday, May 26th @ Ogden Theatre, Denver, CO                                     Sunday, May 29th @ Summer Camp Festival*, Chillicothe, IL                           Tuesday, May 31st @ Ryman Auditorium, Nashville, TN                                        Thursday, June 2nd @ Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA                                                           Friday, June 3rd @ Bunbury Music Festival*, Cincinnati, OH                      Monday, June 6th @ 9:30 Club, Washington, DC                                                    Tuesday, June 7th @ The Fillmore, Philadelphia, PA                                                 Friday, June 10th @ Webster Hall, New York, NY                                           Saturday, June 11th @ Webster Hall, New York, NY                                                     Tuesday, June 14th @ Capitol Theatre, Port Chester, NY                                      Wednesday, June 15th @ House of Blues, Boston, MA                         Sunday, June 19th @ The Fillmore, San Francisco, CA                                        Monday, June 20th @ The Fillmore,  San Francisco, CA                                             Saturday, June 25th @ The Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles, CA                 Sunday, June 26th @ The Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles, CA                 Tuesday, June 28th @ The Observatory, Santa Ana, CA                                    * Tickets purchased for the festivals do not include CD of "2"

The visualizer for the song can be seen HERE. "HandClap is a primal tale of love and lust, a call to arms in the late hours of the night," says lead vocalist Fitz. "It's the X-rated version of 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' happening on a dance floor." Fitz and The Tantrums will celebrate the album's release with a North American headline tour that kicks off on June 14 at The National in Richmond, VA and includes a June 21 show at New York City's Terminal 5. Fans who pre-order the album from Fitz and The Tantrums' online store will automatically receive a code enabling them to purchase tour tickets on Tuesday, March 29 - before the artist pre-sale and public on sale. The artist pre-sale for tickets begins HERE on Wednesday, March 30, at 10 AM local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 1, at 10 AM local time. The Washington Post called Fitz and The Tantrums' live show "captivatingly crazy" and Rolling Stonepraised the band for its "irrepressible energy: hopped-up rhythms, shout-it-out choruses, and hooted background vocals" in a review of More Than Just a DreamThe New York Times noted, "Their debut effort, 'Pickin' Up the Pieces' (Dangerbird), and follow-up, 'More Than Just a Dream' (Elektra), burst with danceable hooks." The Los Angeles Times said, "Fitz...understands what makes a good song...And co-vocalist Noelle Scaggs' charisma overflows." More Than Just a Dream, which has racked up over 76 million album streams to date, contained the RIAA Gold-certified singles "The Walker" (which was tapped for the 2014 OSCAR ad campaign featuring Ellen DeGeneres and a cast of dancers) and "Out Of My League." Both songs were multi-format hits, toppingBillboard's Alternative Songs chart at #1 and placing in the Top 5 at Triple A radio and in the Top 15 at Hot AC. Fitz and The Tantrums' natural exuberance permeates their new self-titled album, which celebrates walking to the beat of your own drum. Lead singer, Michael Fitzpatrick, says of new record, "We've always tried to push ourselves at every turn. For our third album, we continued to challenge ourselves, taking care not to write the same record again." "Turn It Up," Fitz exhorts at the top of album opener and first single "HandClap." The horn-and-beats fueled track captures the exhilarating sense of promise - and danger - that a night out and a new romance hold. The staccato "Complicated" paints a relationship that's packed with both chemistry and conflict and bursts into an unexpected cheer. Echo and otherworldly keyboards make "Tricky" an intoxicating dance-floor anthem and a warning to any future lover, while "A Place For Us," the album closer, encapsulates the band's belief that there is a place in the world for each of us to belong, regardless of our differences. "Overall, this is an album about desire - the desire for intimacy, for sex, for acceptance on your own terms and the struggle not to compromise," explains Fitz. Fitz and The Tantrums was recorded in the band's hometown of Los Angeles. Jesse Shatkin (Sia, Matt & Kim) produced eight of the album's eleven tracks. Fitz produced "Fadeback" while Joel Little (Lorde) produced "Do What You Want" and Ricky Reed (Jessie J) helmed "HandClap." Fitz and The Tantrums are: Fitz (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals/tambourine), James King (saxophone), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums) and Joseph Karnes (bass). LINKSPre-order album HEREPre-order exclusive album bundles and receive early access to tour tickets HEREStream "HandClap" HEREWatch "HandClap" visualizer HEREPurchase tour tickets HERE  FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS  - TRACKLISTING 1. Three Men and a Baby will be available on CD/LP/DL/CASS on April 1, 2016 worldwide through Sub Pop. The 12-song album features the highlights “Chicken ‘n’ Dump” and “Limited Teeth.” Most of Three Men and a Baby was recorded in 1999 at Louder Studios by Tim Green (The Fucking Champs), and it was finished in 2015 at Sound of Sirens by Toshi Kasai.

 About Mike and the Melvins:
Three Men and a Baby is the new album by Mike and the Melvins. It was supposed to come out sixteen years ago. These are the facts we can be sure of: in 1998, around the time his band godheadSilo went on hiatus, bassist/vocalist Mike Kunka busied himself by tagging along on a tour with his friends the Melvins. Somewhere along the way, Mike and the Melvins – King Buzzo (guitar/bass/vocals), Dale Crover (drums/vocals), and Kevin Rutmanis (bass/vocals), at the time – decided to make a record together, and gave the project the imaginative moniker Mike and the Melvins. Sub Pop, ever on the hunt for music’s Next Big Thing, enthusiastically agreed to fund and release the super-group’sdebut, and recording commenced sometime in 1999.It’s at this point that things get hazy. Apparently, one or more of the following happened:Some “junior-high level bullshit.” A house was built, a barn was raised, children were born.Typical record-label skullduggery.A scorching case of whooping cough.Surgery. Lots of surgery.Shocking and poorly-timed gear theft. Some other stuff, probably, or maybe not.Whatever the reasons, the incomplete recording languished on a shelf from 1999 until 2015, when, much to everyone’s surprise, the involved parties reconvened, finished the damn thing, and delivered it post-haste to Sub Pop International Headquarters, where it was promptly scheduled for the coveted April 1st, 2016 release date. What a story, right? So, about the record: It’s real good! Mike’s signature bass crunch and vocals are all over it, and the Melvins are in fine form. It has everything from hefty noise-rock churn to a Public Image Ltd. song to cough-syrup blues to deconstructed black metal. Neither Melvins nor godheadSilo fans will be disappointed, nor will detractors of either; to paraphrase Mike, if you don’t like it, it probably wasn’t meant for you (read more at Sub Pop)

What started as a reunion in 2013 with tours of Japan, Australia and the UK, has continued and evolved into a full blown return in full force of the FLAMIN' GROOVIES. In the past three years the band has toured the USA extensively with repeated visits to New York, L.A. and their hometown of San Francisco, as well as returning from hugely successful tours of Spain, France and Italy. In anticipation of their 50th Anniversary this year, they'll be performing a special hometown San Fran show at The Chapel on April 7th, followed by another tour of Europe in April/May. In addition, they're also planning on releasing a new studio album, a documentary film, and are about to drop a new single from their forthcoming LP via Burger Records on Record Store Day (April 16, 2016). This new single features two Cyril Jordan/Chris Wilson penned tracks - the recently written "Crazy Macy" and the first track ever written by Jordan & Wilson, "Let Me Rock" recorded here for the first time! To pre-order both the 7" vinyl and cassette singles of "Crazy Macy"/"Let Me Rock" click HERE. In further Groovies Record Store Day news, Rhino Records will be releasing a limited Warren Zevon / Flamin' Groovies "Werewolves of London" 7" picture disc on RSD as part of their now-famous SIDE BY SIDE Series, that pairs two artists with one classic song.

The Cyril Jordan, Chris Wilson, George Alexander line-up featured on the three albums released by Sire Records, that rocked the UK, Europe and the US from 1971 - 1980 are BACK IN ACTION. With the addition of Victor Penalosa on drums, they continue to present their own unique and infectious style of rock 'n' roll with such cult classics as "Shake Some Action," "Slow Death" and "Teenage Head." In addition, co-founding member Roy Loney will also be joining the Groovies for a few shows both here and abroad, where he'll be performing a number of the Flamin' Groovies' early favorites with the band.

L.A. WITCH Announce North American Tour w/ The Kills

L.A. WITCH ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR w/ THE KILLS

NEW 7" SINGLE
DRIVE YOUR CAR OUT NOW
Tour Dates Here  LISTEN & SHARE: L.A. WITCH - "Drive Your Car"
"“Drive Your Car” squeals into chugging riffs from guitarist and vocalist Sade Sanchez and bassist Irita Pai, spurred into a higher, exit ramp-climbing gear from drummer Ellie English. Sanchez’s voice howls through the canyons of her own reverb like she’s yelling behind the wheel of a stolen Mustang in a Santa Ana tunnel, reveling in her cacophonous freedom Thelma & Louise-style."
- SPIN

"L.A. Witch has a fearless approach grounded in an uncompromising approach to creating their own sound and cult aesthetic." - Art Tavana, Tom Tom Magazine

"The music of L.A. Witch is experimental and raw ... Their heavy sound features Sanchez's ghostly lo-fi vocals on "Get Lost," where the brooding songstress begs for someone, anyone, to "save me from myself, save me from myself."" - LA Weekly
