WILD BELLE SHARES NEW VIDEO FOR “OUR LOVE WILL SURVIVE”
WILL KICK OFF SPRING HEADLINE TOUR IN SUPPORT OF ALBUM IN APRIL(New York, NY; Columbia Records; March 28, 2016) – Chicago band Wild Belle’s (Natalie Bergman, Elliot Bergman) forthcoming album, DREAMLAND, is available for pre-order now. The release will be available physically and digitally on Columbia Records on April 15th. The track listing for DREAMLAND has also been unveiled (see below), with the video for the new song “Our Love Will Survive." The new video was filmed in Jamaica featuring vibrant performances from local dancers and was helmed by director/multimedia artist Philippa Price, who has worked with Rihanna and Brooke Candy, among others.
“I have a place in my heart for Jamaica. That country has been very generous to me, and the people are so talented and filled with grace,” says Natalie. “We went to Jamaica with Super 8 cameras and 32 rolls of film and discovered an abandoned castle and a hardware store filled with 8 dollar machetes. We met beautiful twins with golden eyes. I brought a suitcase filled with leather and camouflage. We nearly got arrested by Jamaican policemen and I talked my way out of it. My eyes fell out in the Caribbean Sea shooting the underwater scenes.”

The duo’s current single “Throw Down Your Guns,” is also making an impact, with the video premiering on NPR Music two weeks ago. Self-directed by Elliot Bergman and produced by MAAVVEN, the video features the Chicago Children’s Choir as well as Chicago based footwork crew The ERA. NPR describes the video as “a powerful statement of peaceful protest.” The clip complements the song’s themes of peace, unity and love, featuring various forms of weaponry – including guns and bullet casings - being melted down and crafted into beautiful bronze bells. “Throw Down Your Guns” has already has impacted Triple A radio and will be hitting Alternative Radio next month.

Wild Belle revealed the album’s cover art earlier in the month, comprised of a photo of Natalie taken by Elliot with a vintage Polaroid camera. Much of the album’s internal artwork is comprised of collages created by Natalie.
In support of DREAMLAND, the follow-up to their Columbia Records debut album Isles, Natalie and Elliot will embark on a 21-city headlining tour across the U.S. with their full band in tow. The tour kicks off on April 22nd in Chicago, IL and concludes on May 20th in Minneapolis, MN. ESMÉ PATTERSON Announces New Album WE WERE WILD - Out 6/10 via Grand Jury!
ESMÉ PATTERSONWe Were Wild(June 10th, 2016; Grand Jury Music)
(Credit: Devvon Simpson)Praise for Esmé Patterson:
"Her voice is wiry and candid, backed by arrangements that roll along the folk-country borderline." - New York Times "defiant and witty" - The Guardian "...Esme Patterson has written a gorgeous new batch of songs that encourages all of us-but most especially ladies-to flush the silly, contrived notions of love and men right out of their systems." - Paste "...enthralled from the beginning." - KEXP
Sometimes you have to turn off your brain and let your body sing. That's what EsméPatterson did on We Were Wild, her gorgeous, forthcoming record which will be released via Grand Jury Music on June 10th, 2016. Across We Were Wild, the Portland-based songwriter's delicate voice, wry humor, poignant storytelling, and impassioned delivery entwine with fuzzed-out guitars, deep-in-pocket percussion, hints of roots-y country, and a swirling psychedelic hum. PRESS HERE to listen to the first single and album opener, "Feel Right," via Noisey. PRESS HERE for physical pre-order, while digital pre-order, including an immediate download of "Feel Right," will be available on iTunes starting tomorrow.
Esmé Patterson is currently touring across the U.S. with San Fermin. See below to find a show near you.
Esmé Patterson's decadal musical career sprang from Colorado's mountains when she co-founded Denver's beloved indie-folk ensemble Paper Bird. After four acclaimed albums and perpetual touring, Patterson set a new course. In 2012, she wove local talents, includingNathaniel Rateliff, into her first powerful, ethereal solo release All Princes, I. Her 2014 release, Woman to Woman, rounded out previously one-dimensional females from popular songs - reimagining tracks from Dolly Parton's "Jolene" to The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" - to the praise of The New York Times, The Guardian and others. "Dearly Departed," her hit collaboration with Shakey Graves led to millions of streams, sold out shows nationwide, as well as performances on Conan and The Late Show With David Letterman.
Unlike Patterson's 2014 release Woman To Woman which was recorded in about one day,We Were Wild was meticulously and masterfully crafted over the course of one year. "At its core, rock 'n' roll is where madness and order collide. Where our sexual, raw, animal nature meets our heart and mind," says Patterson. "On this album I explored deeper, more far out sonic spaces. I hunted the vibe through vast wilderness." The opener "Feel Right" gallops along on a wiry riff as her voice carries an irresistible refrain. Elsewhere on the album, "Wantin' Ain't Gettin'" showcases the expanse of her dynamic voice. "No River" flows on a silky beat that gives way to Patterson's soulful delivery, while "Find It" offers up sharp introspection over a delightful groove.
"A lot of these songs were lessons my heart was giving my mind. I want to share them because maybe they can help others the way they helped me." Watch this space for more onEsmé Patterson and the stunning We Were Wild: http://esmepatterson.com/ Album art

ANNA VOGELZANG PREMIERE’S NEW SONG “GARDEN”VIA THE BLUEGRASS SITUATION
NEW ALBUM HIKER OUT MAY 6THPRODUCED BY TODD SICKAFOOSE
ON TOUR THIS SPRING AND SUMMER

Anna Vogelzang is excited to share “Garden”, the latest song to be released from her forthcoming new album Hiker, due out May 6th via Paper Anchor Records. Produced by Todd Sickafoose (Anais Mitchell, Ani DiFranco, Andrew Bird) in the hills of Eugene, Oregon, Hiker is the record that she has been working towards for the last ten years of her career. Debuted today on The Bluegrass Situation, “Garden” follows upon her striking title track “Hiker,” available to stream alongside the BandCamp pre-order, and the single “Bear”, premiered last month via Relix, who praised Vogelzang’s “warm, engaging folk-pop.” Fresh off a fruitful trip to Austin for SXSW 2016, where she spoke on the “Creative Convergence: Artists As Labels” panel, Vogelzang is getting ready to hit the road for tour dates this spring and summer. Full schedule of upcoming tour dates below.

“The Wisconsin troubadour has a penchant for playfulness when it comes to her music; however, when she gets serious, few craft a better folk song.” - The Huffington Post
“Every now and again, a folk-pop artist emerges with a universally warming sound that takes over the airwaves and attracts everyone from tweens to full blown adults, using smart and often G-rated lyrics over heartening melodies. Think along the lines of of Ingrid Michaelson and Brandi Carlile. Enter Anna Vogelzang.” - Blackbook Magazine
Anna Vogelzang has been making songs since 2000, playing them in public since 2003, and driving them around the country since 2007. Her melody-driven, multi-instrumental folk-pop ballads have been met with warm reviews (9/10, PopMatters) and landed her at festivals, conferences, and on bills with some of her heroes, including Sara Bareilles, Gillian Welch, Mirah, Anais Mitchell, Laura Gibson, Wye Oak, Steve Poltz, Mason Jennings, Amanda Palmer, and many more. Anna has spent much of the recent past touring in support of her latest EP, Driftless, a home-spun, steadfast collection of gritty new-folk songs, many of which were written in 2014 as part of the song-a-week project RealWomenRealSongs.
In April of 2015, after writing more than 70 songs in 15 months, Vogelzang joined producer Todd Sickafoose in the studio to embark upon her fifth LP, Hiker. Joined by percussionist and multi-instrumentalist Shane Leonard (Field Report), the trio recorded 12 songs, hand-picked by Sickafoose, in one week as a live band. The lush, sonic landscape explores the identity of being a human in nature, the animal nature of being alive, and the search for home. It’s about traveling onward and self-sufficiency and love and family and fear and grit.
At home in Wisconsin, Vogelzang is a band coach as well as a voice and songwriting instructor at Girls Rock Camp Madison. She also runs songwriting workshops for local area schools and community groups. In 2012, Vogelzang founded Wintersong, a holiday event that has raised more than $26,000 for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin since its inception. The seasonal revue has featured PHOX, Count This Penny, Vogelzang, Corey Mathew Hart, and more.

Sune Rose Wagner said of "EXCUSES", "I love piecing things together, It’s so inspiring working on bits and pieces and make them happen together in a beautiful way. EXCUSES is a great example of that, helps my ADD. Furthermore, being surrounded by creative, inspiring, mad people is so crucial to anything in life really but when you encounter the opposite it’s so sad and a major drag to say the least, EXCUSES is kinda about that."
The Raveonettes also continue their new Pledge Music Campaign where fans can pledge for the CD and vinyl of the forthcoming new album. Sign up for the Pledge Music Campaign at http://radi.al/TheRaveonettesPledge.

Cate Le Bon - "Crab Day", Out April 15th!
Drag City is excited to announce that Cate Le Bon will release her fourth album, Crab Day , on April 15th.
According to Cate : " Crab Day was lovingly formed in the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, as it quietly mocked us with its magnitude. It's the sound of the 'accidentally on purpose' coming together of the right people at precisely the right time in an environment that furnished and fueled the abandonment we felt effortlessly. It's a coalition of inescapable feelings and fabricated nonsense, each propping the other up. Crab Day is an old holiday. Crab Day is a new holiday. Crab Day isn't a holiday at all."

Mudcrutch Announce New Album, Share Single; Headline Tour Details

NATIONAL HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF MAY 26TH IN DENVER March 25, 2016 - Mudcrutch announced their second album entitled "2" will be released by Reprise Records on May 20th. The album is the follow up to the band's 2008 eponymous debut which Rolling Stone called "a country-rock instant classic" in a rave four star review. The new album, produced by band members Tom Petty and Mike Campbell with Ryan Ulyate, is available now for pre-order on MudcrutchMusic.com. Fans who pre-order the digital format of the album, or the vinyl format on the band's official website, will receive downloads of three tracks, including the first single "Trailer," in advance of the May 20th album release date. Mudcrutch has also announced their first national tour, starting at Denver's Ogden Theater on May 26th. Tickets for all headline shows go on-sale Friday, April 1st (10am local venue time) and every online ticket purchased for the headline tour includes a CD copy of the new album, "2."
Los Angeles-based rock band The Shelters, who will release their debut album on Warner Bros. Records this summer, will support all tour dates. Mudcrutch was initially formed in 1970 in Gainesville, Florida and is the precursor to the legendary Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Tom Petty (bass/vocals), Tom Leadon (guitar/vocals), Benmont Tench (keyboards/vocals), Mike Campbell (guitar/vocals), and Randall Marsh (drums/vocals) make up the band's current line up. In 1974, Mudcrutch was signed to Shelter Records and moved to Los Angeles where they released one single, "Depot Street," to very little fanfare. The band broke up in 1975 and could have settled for being a legend, but instead Mudcrutch rose from the ashes in 2008 to remind us that the golden age of rock and roll bands still had a few treasures to unearth. Their debut, made some thirty-three years later, was an unexpected hit. All members of Mudcrutch contribute songs on their new album "2." The album includes seven originals written by Tom Petty, with band members Mike Campbell, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh and Benmont Tench composing one each. In celebration of Record Store Day, the first single "Trailer", written by Petty, with b-side "Beautiful World," written by Randall Marsh, will be released at participating indie record stores as a limited edition vinyl 7 inch on April 16th.
