record. We had such a hoot that we’re heading back out in a couple weeks and we’re headed west this time, for leg 2 of the Southern Dandies Tour. We’re gonna be getting into all kinds of musical shenanigans in all sorts of places with as few instruments as necessary. We’ll be playing new songs, old songs, maybe even some make-em’-up-on-the-spot songs. We knew we were going to do this duet together and I really knew she had something going on that needed to come out and I’m happy this was the vessel for it,” Aubert explains.This past summer the band completed a headline U.S. tour and performed at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Panorama, Osheaga and more.

Produced by James Levy (Reputante), the track is the first new music from JLP since last year's Sponges EP. "I wrote this song over the summer on the night of a full moon and the next day James melded it into a sort of throw-back, sugary pop song," she explains of the track, "In a way, the song is like a dreamy love letter to the someone you still fall in love with over and over again even after years of being together, while at the same time, it also feels nostalgic for that innocent time in life when you could only dream of what that kind of love might be like." JLP and Reputante will be performing for the last night of their residency at Pianos NYCtonight (9.29).

Fanatics have their dreams where they weave their own paradise, like a desert mirage that exists solely in your mind. ExSage sings of elusive truth and the tension it creates - love and hate, pain and ecstasy. The balance we walk that makes us divine or evil.
There’s nothing quite like being in the desert. It is an inimitable feeling when the heavy heat of day submits to the piercing cold of night. The setting sun bruises the sky as it strikes the horizon and sinks, stripping the gilding from the sand and exposing the cold faces of the stars. High noon and the witching hour are equally captivating; both are unnerving, both are electrifying. Night condenses and expands and hundreds of unblinking eyes emerge, gaping.
The desert demands transformation. What thrives there is thorned. What survives slinks between shadows. To exist there is to withstand its vastness—an act of defiance. For thousands of years, it has tested us, summoned us to solitude to confront ourselves. Both Tim Foley and Kate Clover heeded this call. Beneath a storm-stained sky thick with anticipation, the former flames found themselves reunited. As lighting scarred the sand, they resolved to sonically sublimate its essence. ExSage emerged from the eye of this storm.
ExSage recorded their debut EP in Los Angeles with producer Alain Johannes (Mark Lanegan, Them Crooked Vultures, Brody Dalle, Queens of the Stone age), which will be released worldwide in October.

Sept. 29, 2016, Pella, Macedonia – Faith No More share the second video from their album Sol Invictus, debuting a clip brimming with betrayal and revenge for the song “Cone of Shame” (https://youtu.be/6Z0k5yiCmFs).
“This is one of those tracks that had to be a video, really, because it lends itself so much to visual imagery,” Bill Gould explains. “Given the song’s sense of Americana, it would have been easy to shoot this in Arizona or New Mexico, but having been to Macedonia several times, there’s a vibe there that I felt wouldn’t be out of place as a backdrop to this song. Goce Cvetanovski, as a director, understood this immediately; he knew exactly what to do with it, and along with an amazing cast, has managed to create something very dark, and beautifully cinematic.”
“Cone of Shame” was the third song previewed from Faith No More’s album Sol Invictus, initially debuted at a 2015 Japanese concert. Rolling Stone described the four-and-a-half minute track as “a sparse, Spaghetti Western”, while Consequence of Sound proclaimed it “a tour de force of the band’s talents.”
A limited edition “Cone of Shame” 7-inch will be available on Nov. 25 with pre-orders available soon.

Google Play and British rock legends Queen have teamed up to create The Bohemian Rhapsody Experience, a virtual reality experiment powered by groundbreaking immersive audio and interactive technologies that aim to push the boundaries of creative expression and evolve the way we experience entertainment. Soundtracked by a remixed 3D spatialized version of the quartet's iconic hit "Bohemian Rhapsody" that reacts sonically to the user's movements, the app gives users the opportunity to travel through an interactive visual narrative developed by VR pioneers Enosis VR along with a team of world-class animators and designers. Through the new medium of VR, contemporary animation techniques, and aesthetics that draw inspiration from the iconography and symbolism of Queen's music and artwork, The Bohemian Rhapsody Experience offers a journey through frontman Freddie Mercury's subconscious mind and recreates the sensation of being onstage with the band, with visual and audio elements that respond to the user's movements. The band worked closely with the creative team, offering them a bevy of archival content to help bring Queen's world to life, yielding a unique, new way to enjoy "Bohemian Rhapsody" while reintroducing the song to a new generation. The song's highly distinctive and dramatic structure informed the app's narrative world and the environments and tone portrayed within, creating an experience that feels like stepping inside the music. "This fabulous Google clip is a new ground-breaker - perhaps the first great work of art in stereoscopic VR animation. It's compatible with all VR smartphone-based systems, including my own London Stereoscopic Company OWL VR kit. A new kind of 3-D experience!" said Queen's Dr. Brian May. "We hope this virtual reality experiment will give fans a new way to experience this iconic track while also representing the boundless possibilities for artists and creators to collaborate with Google Play,"said Gareth Hornberger, Brand Manager on Google Play.

Under the Har Mar moniker Sean has gone through a plethora of phases ranging from fun-loving beats-based music pioneer (he and Peaches shared stages early on) to angry arena crowd opener (public lewdness police records to prove it) to soul music crooner. His last album Bye Bye 17 opened a lot of peoples’ minds to his songwriting prowess, which has existed since day one of his career.
For years Tillmann was an artist’s artist when The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gossip, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many other legends decided to collaborate and/ or take him on tour. Different phases of his career brought him fame through the fickle worlds of indie, British pop, LA DJ-dom, and New York night crawling.
Bye Bye 17 was an eye opener to the music world, not that Tillmann wasn’t used to accolades through his former work with Sean Na Na, Gayngs, Neon Neon, and Calvin Krime. Sean had “arrived as a songwriter”. After living in LA and NYC for 12 years, Sean moved back to Minneapolis, MN where he is most creative. With the help of Chris Bierden (Polica, Bye Bye 17), Ryan McMahon (Har Mar, Lizzo), Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Adele, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Cat Stevens), and Ryan Olson (Polica, Marijuana Deathsquads) Har Mar Superstar’s album “Best Summer Ever” was born.
Best Summer Ever since it’s inception has been imagined as a Greatest Hits of Har MarSuperstar from 1950-1985. Tillmann was born in 1978. Wrap your head around that, please.
Best Summer Ever is a slow burner with many ballads, dance-able tracks, and co-writes. Long-time friend Julian Casablancas (Cult Records founder, The Strokes), Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Erykah Badu, Voidz, Weezer), and Tillmann worked very closely to make the concept happen. Karen O, Matt Sweeney, and James Levy (Reputante, Lolawolf) all helped write songs on the record. Bobby Charles wrote “I Hope”. “Youth Without Love” was a demo written by Julian that was sitting around that Har Mar fell in love with, so they made it for the record.
Look out for Har Mar Superstar, now fronting a six-piece band complete with horns, touring worldwide this year. The live show has always been a fun, sweat-soaked celebration of joy. The man was born to rock a stage. Join the party.
