Yesterday, the band exclusively performed their just-released new album AMERICAN BAND in its entirety live from the Oregon Public Broadcasting studios as part of NPR's First Listen Live series. Full-time guitarist/singer for the Dirty Projectors since 2006, Amber wrote and recorded her entire solo album in Los Angeles, having moved there from Brooklyn in 2013. This Friday, they'll play Brooklyn's Shea Stadium and today, they've released their take on the Bob Dylan classic "Shelter From The Storm." Ghettoblaster Magazine premiered it earlier today and call the cover "reverent and heartfelt."
With influences ranging from Talking Heads to Tame Impala, The Tins craft masterfully layered jams that USA Today call "brilliant pop exuberance." The band released single "Friday Afternoon" via Yellow Year Records last month. IMPOSE premiered "Friday Afternoon" and noted "We know it's not Friday, but this is a song to enjoy any day of the week. The composition of the song itself just gives off a carefree feeling...The song is replete with sweet, innocent vocals, and we can't help but feel like it's time to make weekend plans."

CRX will make its national television debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Tuesday, October 11. The band will also perform a set on "Wonderland," a new weekly music show from MTV that showcases the best in new music, on Thursday, October 20. New Skin , the band's debut album, will be released on October 28 on Columbia Records. Fans whopre-order the album digitally will instantly receive the first single, "Ways To Fake It." After a period of chart-topping collaborations, Canadian electro-pop trio Dragonette have made a valiant return with their fourth studio album Royal Blues to be released worldwide on November 11.
