NYC rockers Cheena recently released their debut LP Spend The Night With... this past August onSacred Bones Records. They've been playing a great deal locally, toured the West Coast with a stop at the Berserktown Festival in Los Angeles and now to top off the year the band is finally taking their gritty and undeniably catchy punk overseas in Novemeber. The Summer 2017 European stadium tour will see the band play to more than 1.5 million fans in 32 cities in 21 countries across Europe. The tour starts at Stockholm's Friends Arena on May 5, 2017 and ends July 23 with a final stadium show in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Following years of playing in various local bands and learning the ropes of electronic music production, Eustis and Cooper wrote the demos for what would become Telefon Tel Aviv in 1999. After sending them to John Hughes III, who operated the Chicago-based Hefty Records, they were offered an album deal in January 2000. They spent the rest of that year writing their debut album, Fahrenheit Fair Enough, released in September 2001, as well as the soundtrack for the movie New Port South, written by Hughes’ brother James and released the same year.Shaped by a diverse set of influences that included British electronic music (Autechre, Aphex Twin, Jega) and Black American music (house, techno, bounce rap), Telefon Tel Aviv were the latest in a growing lineup of American musicians that sought to carve their own lane and add something meaningful to a growing international conversation about what the meeting point between hip-hop, soul, and electronic music could be. But while Eustis and Cooper emerged within a specific context that provided their continuing work with a solid foundation, they spent the next decade taking risks and grappling with the idea of what an electronic duo could be.In 2004, they released their second LP, Map Of What Is Effortless, a bold attempt at solidifying the romantic elements of their debut into a modern r&b sound and featuring vocal contributions from Damon Aaron and Lindsay Anderson. Three years later, Hefty released a compilation of Telefon Tel Aviv remixes that included their take on Nine Inch Nails, Ammoncontact, Slicker, and Apparat among others.In 2009, ten years after they first began working together, the duo returned with Immolate Yourself, via Ellen Alien's BPitch Control label. Darker and synth-driven, this third album took yet another dramatic left turn, this time towards a more unabashedly pop-minded sound.In between the German and U.S. release of Immolate, Charles Cooper passed away unexpectedly. Following Cooper’s death the Telefon Tel Aviv project went on hold. In 2014, Eustis released a solo album on Audraglint Recordings as Sons of Magdalene called Move To Pain.After years of self-doubt, Eustis decided to revive the Telefon Tel Aviv alias in 2016. This return coincides with a reissue of the debut album on Ghostly International and Eustis’ first live shows under the name, which began in the spring of 2016 with a North American tour alongside Moderat. New material under the Telefon Tel Aviv moniker is currently being written.

Porcelain Raft, the solo project of Italian born artist Mauro Remiddi, will be joining UK favorites Wild Beasts on their North American tour next month. These will be the first live shows for Porcelain Raft for 2016 and the first time audiences will be able to hear songs from his forthcoming LP.
The new album is set to be released early next year, it's the third LP from Remiddi since 2011's excellent and much loved debut Strange Weekend.
The tour will start on the West Coast, stopping in Chicago and Toronto and then finish on the East Coast, including shows at Le Poisson Rouge and Music Hall Of Williamsburg in New York. All tour dates are listed below and watch this space for details on the forthcoming LP.

Montreal psych-rock trio Elephant Stone are proud to share the video for " Photograph ," the newest from their recent full-length Ship Of Fools (out now digitally via Elephants on Parade, physically onNovember 25 via Burger Records). The video debuted via Clash Music, who noted that Ship Of Fools "...displays real confidence and verve, managing to channel their cosmos-searching live shows into one document." Elephant Stone will begin their North American tour next week, which includes stops at Brooklyn, NY's Trans Pecos, Chicago, IL's Schuba's, The Satellite in Los Angeles and more. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
Evolution, change, artistic growth, exploration -- these words are associated with all great rock and roll bands, but they're quickly becoming synonymous with Elephant Stone, the Montreal trio led by singer/bassist/songwriter/sitar player, Rishi Dhir. With Ship of Fools, Dhir and his bandmates --Miles Dupire (drummer/backing vox) and Gabriel Lambert (guitar/backing vox) -- have solidified Elephant Stone's place among the greats as innovators who are unafraid of challenging themselves and their audience.
As " Manipulator " attests, Ship of Fools presents a new Elephant Stone emphasizing catchy grooves and vocal melodies that smack of both infectious pop and dance. But Dhir's lyrics have lost none of their sophistication: his social commentary makes " Manipulator " music for the head and heart.
The rest of Ship of Fools follows suit. The creation of its eleven tracks, as Dhir says, allowed him to embrace his true identity as "pop songwriter" whose tunes are custom built for the dance floor. Elephant Stone's refined vision on Ship of Fools is the realization of the gifts of a great band. Add the talents of producer Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire, The National) to the works, and the result is an album chock full of stylistically diverse cuts that could all stand on their own as hit singles. Indeed, " The Devil's Shelter (ft. Alex Maas of The Black Angels)," " Where I'm Going ," and " Andromeda " have already been released as singles to critical acclaim. They explore the deep reaches of space rock ("Andromeda"), aggressive dance music ("The Devil's Shelter"), and sophisticated pop songcraft ("Where I'm Going").
Formed in Montreal in 2009, Elephant Stone have toured extensively throughout North America and Europe and are prominent members of the burgeoning psych rock scene. Dhir has recorded, performed, and toured with indie rock icons (Beck), legendary cult bands (The Brian Jonestown Massacre), and contemporary psych titans (The Black Angels, The Horrors). Their first album, The Seven Seas , was nominated for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2009.

Montreal psych-rock trio Elephant Stone are proud to share the video for " Photograph ," the newest from their recent full-length Ship Of Fools (out now digitally via Elephants on Parade, physically onNovember 25 via Burger Records). The video debuted via Clash Music, who noted that Ship Of Fools "...displays real confidence and verve, managing to channel their cosmos-searching live shows into one document." Elephant Stone will begin their North American tour next week, which includes stops at Brooklyn, NY's Trans Pecos, Chicago, IL's Schuba's, The Satellite in Los Angeles and more. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
Evolution, change, artistic growth, exploration -- these words are associated with all great rock and roll bands, but they're quickly becoming synonymous with Elephant Stone, the Montreal trio led by singer/bassist/songwriter/sitar player, Rishi Dhir. With Ship of Fools, Dhir and his bandmates --Miles Dupire (drummer/backing vox) and Gabriel Lambert (guitar/backing vox) -- have solidified Elephant Stone's place among the greats as innovators who are unafraid of challenging themselves and their audience.
As " Manipulator " attests, Ship of Fools presents a new Elephant Stone emphasizing catchy grooves and vocal melodies that smack of both infectious pop and dance. But Dhir's lyrics have lost none of their sophistication: his social commentary makes " Manipulator " music for the head and heart.
The rest of Ship of Fools follows suit. The creation of its eleven tracks, as Dhir says, allowed him to embrace his true identity as "pop songwriter" whose tunes are custom built for the dance floor. Elephant Stone's refined vision on Ship of Fools is the realization of the gifts of a great band. Add the talents of producer Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire, The National) to the works, and the result is an album chock full of stylistically diverse cuts that could all stand on their own as hit singles. Indeed, " The Devil's Shelter (ft. Alex Maas of The Black Angels)," " Where I'm Going ," and " Andromeda " have already been released as singles to critical acclaim. They explore the deep reaches of space rock ("Andromeda"), aggressive dance music ("The Devil's Shelter"), and sophisticated pop songcraft ("Where I'm Going").
Formed in Montreal in 2009, Elephant Stone have toured extensively throughout North America and Europe and are prominent members of the burgeoning psych rock scene. Dhir has recorded, performed, and toured with indie rock icons (Beck), legendary cult bands (The Brian Jonestown Massacre), and contemporary psych titans (The Black Angels, The Horrors). Their first album, The Seven Seas , was nominated for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2009.

Mick Coogan of Brett says their remix "is inspired by early Weatherall and Oakenfold productions, as well as the textures found on the Moodhut and Future Times labels. The dance mix builds to a grooving bass line which compliments the soaring melodies of the original."
