BABYTRON DROPS NEW ALBUM 'TRONICLES' + VIDEO FOR “HAWK TUA”
BABYTRON DROPS NEW ALBUM TRONICLES
WATCH THE VIDEO FOR “HAWK TUA”

Detroit rapper BabyTron has dropped Tronicles, his first album since 2023. Featuring guest appearances from Dave Blunts, LAZER DIM 700, and Project Money, the album finds Tron at home among menacing pianos and the steady, relentless drums of Detroit’s sound, transforming his voice from a monotone drawl to one that rides effortlessly with fast-paced production. Listening to Tronicles is almost educational; BabyTron has the pop culture knowledge of Stump the Schwab with a flair all his own.
“I’m Gen Z, so the internet stuff comes naturally. But you still have to be able to relate to people—not just with memes,” Tron explains. Throughout Tronicles, he’s startlingly controlled, refining his inimitable style of trash-talk simile rap.
Halloween-themed albums have become a tradition for BabyTron fans, a ritual that started with his very first release in October 2019. Now, six Halloween drops later, he’s amassed one of Detroit’s most celebrated catalogs. From sold-out shows to massive streaming numbers, his influence keeps growing. This year, a co-sign from Eminem—where BabyTron is one of just two features on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)—has brought him to new heights.

“For years, Alice Phoebe Lou has been an older sister to her listeners. Her music considers relationships, sense of self and time with an entrancing rawness that is difficult to define.”

“Her ethereal vocals ground each song while also making the melodies around them soar. She can sound like Judy Garland, Kate Bush, or Angel Olsen, but mostly, Lou’s voice is distinctly her own.”

“There’s the incredibly self-aware Alice Phoebe Lou, who writes songs that sway from poetic to overtly political…And there’s the Alice Phoebe Lou who has consistently gone against the mainstream music industry.”

Today, globally adored singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou idealizes a love story that hasn't even begun on “Better.” Buoyant melodies pave the way for Alice's honeyed vocals as she depicts the early, untouchable bliss of a new love that won’t necessarily stand the test of time. Nostalgic, vintage keys dress the track in thoughts of cherished memories, sweetening the mirage of intense, fleeting connections — Stream.
Recorded at Cedar Creek Studio in Austin, TX while on the road with Clairo, the independently released track sees Alice joined by David Parry on guitar, Dekel Adin on bass and percussion, and Ziv Yamin on drums and piano.
“I wrote this song on my childhood piano at my mother's house in one sitting,” shares Alice. “I tapped into my imagination and past experiences of the way I used to idealize someone when I first met them, imagining an unrealistic future and being blind to their faults. Putting someone on a pedestal then makes the fall back to earth even harder, when reality sets in and you realize everything you've projected onto them and that they could never live up to that.”

Since late September, Alice and her band have been touring North America alongside Clairo on the Charm Tour. In thoughtfully selected, intimate settings, both artists have showcased the depth of their artistry in the format that communicates it best. To close out her North America shows for the year, Alice has a headline show at New York’s Brooklyn Steel on Sunday, November 10. In April of 2025, Alice has announced that she will be opening for Remi Wolf at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre — see all upcoming dates here.
Back in July, Alice released another single titled “The World Above.” A self-reflective metaphor about looking up from underwater, Alice’s hopeful lyrics gain confidence alongside celestial keys and cascading guitars that lift each other along the way.

ABOUT ALICE PHOEBE LOU
Alice Phoebe Lou’s fifth album Shelter is about “forgiving the world and forgiving yourself” in order to create a place of safety. She began playing music as a busker after moving from South Africa to Berlin in 2012 and falling in love with a lifestyle that could be so self-determined. Over time, Alice has slowly learned to follow her own instincts and write without fear of judgment.
Her debut album Orbit came in 2016 and saw Alice “piece together the possibility” of music turning into a proper career while 2019’s Paper Castles cemented her as a talented musician to watch. 2021’s Glow and surprise follow-up Child’s Play allowed Alice to go “super deep and vulnerable. I think people really connected with me speaking about personal, painful, tragic things that sometimes feel too embarrassing to say out loud,” she explains. “Those two albums felt like a reckoning.”
By contrast, Shelter is a celebration. “It’s much more self-assured and direct,” says Alice. “That’s an exciting energy to bring to the table.” At times, Shelter feels like a purge while other moments across the lush record capture a second coming-of-age. “I continually strive to show people the beauty of being vulnerable and feeling all their feelings,” she explains. Still fiercely and successfully independent, Alice Phoebe Lou hopes young people “can be inspired by the fact you can do things unconventionally,” with Shelter a defiant soundtrack in choosing your own happiness.

PRIMAL SCREAM The New Album 'Come Ahead' Out Now

Come Ahead, the new Primal Scream album, is out on now!
“I'm very excited about this album in a way that you would be making your first record. If there was an overall theme to Come Ahead it might be one of conflict, whether inner or outer. There is also a thread of compassion running through the album. The title is a Glaswegian term. If someone threatens to fight you, you say, ‘come ahead!’ It’s redolent of the indomitable spirit of the Glaswegian, and the album itself shares that aggressive attitude and confidence. They have a word for this up there, gallus. Come Ahead’s quite a cheeky title too.” - Bobby Gillespie

Available on CD and Black, Red or Silver 2LP.

Maps Shares Cover Of East 17's "Stay Another Day" || Out Now On Mute
MAPS SHARES COVER OF EAST 17’S “STAY ANOTHER DAY”
OUT NOW ON MUTE

Today MAPS’ inspired cover of “Stay Another Day” finally gets its first official release, marking 30 years since the original version (by British boy band East 17) hit the number one spot in the Official UK Christmas Chart in 1994.
Maps, aka James Chapman, originally recorded his version of the track in 2007, and gives the melancholic original (voted one of “The 100 greatest UK No 1s” by the Guardian in 2020) a dreamy, synth-laden edge.
Purchase or stream “Stay Another Day” HERE.
The track will feature on Sonic Cathedral’s box set Celebrate Yourself! The Sonic Cathedral Story, due out on December 6th, saluting the independent label’s (recent winners of the AIM Awards’ Best Boutique Label) 20thAnniversary.
This seasonal one-off track release follows Maps’ recent series that launched with his fifth studio album, Counter Melodies, one of the fastest, most intensely euphoric albums Maps has ever produced. The album was accompanied by remixes from Plaid, GLOK (Ride’s Andy Bell) and Pye Corner Audio, each expanding the original’s uplifting escapism, continued with Counter Mixes, a collection of tracks from his original album, reworked by Chapman to explore the sounds, structures and tempos of the originals, bending them into new and undiscovered areas, and wrapped with Counter Continuo, a companion piece to the original album.

(November 7th, 2024) - Body Meat, the musical project of Chris Taylor, shares a new live session visual of three songs from his critically acclaimed debut album Starchris. Directed by Daniel Brennan, “Body Meat - Live” unveils live versions of album tracks “Focus,” “Electrische,” and “Crystalize” to immerse viewers deeper into the sonic barrage of Starchris. Joined by drummer Grant Chapman as part of the two-man live band, the visual also offers a preview of the live set Taylor will be bringing to his imminent headlining tour with support from Anysia Kym and DORIS, launching November 12th in Montreal.
Starchris was crowned Best New Music by Pitchfork in their review, which described the album as “brilliantly discombobulating,” praising the producer for his ability to juggle “the sleek pop sensibilities of a club-hopper with the type of obsessive engineering that only comes from late nights spent burying your head in software.” Taylor’s debut was also praised by Resident Advisor, SPIN, The FADER, FLOOD, The Creative Independent & more. Modeled after Body Meat’s affinity for crafting video games and the spontaneous bursts of action that color a main character’s quest, Starchris exquisitely details Taylor’s vision for pop music’s parameters and then obliterates them.
Check out “Body Meat - Live” and listen to Starchris above, see below for his upcoming tour dates and stay tuned for more from Body Meat coming soon.

- Dropout Entertainment
“Despite that heavy pull of how to find balance — and peace — in a modern world, Devarrow is playful and cheeky, with the palpable inspiration of Neil Young and Fleet Foxes on such tracks as "Unwired" and "Heart Attack."
-CBC Music
Today, Devarrow is releasing a video for "Pictures", a beautiful track from his latest LP, Heart Shaped Rock.
Graham on the track, "Pictures is a song about grief, written not from the perspective of reflection, but rather a direct channel of experiencing grief in the moment. This song is proof for me that music comes from beyond us, or at least can tap deep into the subconscious. The song was “written” in about five minutes, and as I recall, I just sat down and played it, it coming out of me and originating from somewhere beyond me. The song is about a friend who passed away in a plane crash. While I was not personally close with her, she was a central figure to my immediate friend group, and with her loss, I felt the grief among my friends. I recall hearing about her passing, and feeling in shock, and it wasn’t until the following day that I felt the weight of her loss and what it would mean for my friends. In that moment, I felt I had nothing to do but sit down and play the piano."

TEMPERS share new single "Ghost Rider (Suicide Cover)" ahead of upcoming US / EU tour dates
- US / EU tour dates this month

Tempers is the New York based project of singer and songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh, melting low-lit poetic synth-pop with hints of techno, shoegaze and post-punk. Today they share their cover of Suicide's iconic " Ghost Rider " ahead of their upcoming US and EU tour dates.
On the track, Golestaneh said "Suicide was a formative influence on Tempers, and for me 'Ghost Rider' is a song that represents prioritizing the health of society over personal greed, a value that is as deeply pertinent today as it was in the 70's when this song was released."
Golestaneh adds "'We were talking about society’s suicide, especially American society,' Alan Vega. This quote rings true now more than ever before. My cover of Suicide’s 'Ghost Rider' is dedicated to what I hope people will continue to fight to overcome in the coming years: economic disparity, systemic injustice, misogyny, women's reproductive rights, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, gun control, a ceasefire in Gaza, the climate crisis and saving the planet from extinction, too much to mention, but please let’s prioritize the health of society over personal greed."
Tempers interpretation of "Ghost Rider" expresses its spirit of angst and alienation, via gritty and hypnotic soundscapes propelled by Golestaneh’s unleashed ethereal vocals. The track features detuned harp by guest musician Marilu Donovan (LEYA), acoustic and electric guitars, synth and drum machine.
Produced by Golestaneh, "Ghost Rider" was recorded at home in New York’s East Village, together with Tempers’ touring musician Henry Yuliano playing additional instruments, recording and mixing.
The song anticipates a run of festival and headline dates starting from Seattle 11/7 and expanding to Europe, with more touring in the US, South America and Europe confirmed for 2025.
Listen to "Ghost Rider (Suicide Cover)" here: https://youtu.be/13SRdYT1tx8
Widely influenced by Fleetwood Mac via Kraftwerk to Joy Division and upbringing between London and New York, Tempers evolved quickly into their singular identity on debut album 'Services', including underground dancefloor hit 'Strange Harvest'. The 2017 EP 'Fundamental Fantasy' was released as a result of The Vinyl Factory’s Volcano Extravaganza artist residency on the Aeolian island of Stromboli. Golestaneh’s interest in the arts led to the 2018 release 'Junkspace feat. Rem Koolhaas' (BMG), a concept album set in a shopping mall, collaborating with the famed architect through samples of interviews deconstructing the architecture of consumerism. 2019's full length 'Private Life' progressed Tempers’ cinematic aesthetic into more introspective landscapes, and featured their most popular track to date, 'Capital Pains'. The third album on Dais Records 'New Meaning’ released in 2022, includes the single ‘Unfamiliar’ and 3D animated video-art for ‘Sightseeing’. The record is accompanied by a book of album inspired hand made collage art by Golestaneh (Moonlight Editions). In 2022 Tempers evolved from a duo setup with producer Eddie Cooper to an enhanced set of collaborations, both live and on recordings, led by Jasmine Golestaneh.
Recent highlights include festivals like Substance LA, Sanctum Chicago, Levitation Austin, Hipnosis Mexico, Synästhesie Berlin, Grauzone The Hague, special events like at the Andy Warhol Museum Pittsburgh and sold out headline shows at Elsewhere Brooklyn, Zebulon LA, Kantine am Berghain Berlin and Moth Club London.
Jasmine has just completed her upcoming longplay album with producer Jorge Elbrecht (Sky Ferreira, Japanese Breakfast) between New York and Los Angeles
