HOMESHAKES's new video 'Every Single Thing' - announces west coast tour

HOMESHAKE
UNVEILS NEW VIDEO "EVERY SINGLE THING"
ANNOUNCES WEST COAST TOUR
FRESH AIR OUT NOW ON SINDERLYN

WATCH / SHARE: "EVERY SINGLE THING" VIA YOUTUBE
Homeshake - the musical project of Edmonton's Peter Sagar - unveils his new video "Every Single Thing" today via FADER. Peter adds about the video, "My mind wanders a lot, often overtop of someone else speaking to me. It's a bad habit, and I can't seem to shake it."  He returns to the west coast next month performing new songs from his critically acclaimed sophomore album Fresh Air, which dropped this month on Sinderlyn.  Highlights include San Francisco's Rickshaw Stop, Orange County's We Were Young Fest, Seattle and more. Full list of dates below.
Fresh Air continues Sagar's exploration of dreamy, downtempo bedroom R&B and draws inspiration from such disparate artists like Sade, The Band, Broadcast, Prince, and Angelo Badalamenti. As the title Fresh Air suggests, Sagar's songs were created to clear his listeners' minds of negativity. Full of smokey, laid back love songs and airy productions, Sagar's decidedly stoned sound is a breath of fresh air.

You can listen to it here.Faye Wellman, a Michigan native, is a vocalist and writer living in Los Angeles, CA. Faye merges musical and emotional intuition with her education in music, performance, and writing to compose lyrics and inspired melodies.  Matt Hogan (NY) is a multi-instrumentalist and producer living in Los Angeles, CA. With a background in classical upright bass, Matt combines his love of free flowing expressive musicianship with a mix of ethereal textures, electronic beats, and dream pop.The two met during their studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Two years later, on the California Coast, TVRQUOISE officially emerged with a sound best defined by color.TVRQUOISE’s debut EP reveals tender moments from half a decade. Faye’s lyrics derive from residencies, travels, and encounters in places such as Boston, Michigan, New York City, San Francisco, Mexico, and Belize. From Paralyzed Legs, a piece revealing the subconscious thoughts surrounding a captive relationship, to Calling Out, a track echoing the constant struggle between being a wanderlust and seeking lasting human connection, the trying pivot from youth to adulthood is present.  The project’s name was derived from a train of fateful events and the power of the turquoise stone. Turquoise paves way for strength, wholeness, and truth. Turquoise aids in self-forgiveness, self-acceptance, and the release of useless regrets. Turquoise provides protection and the recognition of beauty, enabling new beginnings.TVRQUOISE is the electro-dreampop project of Faye Wellman and Matt Hogan.

Grandaddy's New Album 'Last Place' via NPR First Listen

LISTEN TO FIRST GRANDADDY ALBUM IN TEN YEARS NOW VIA  NPR FIRST LISTEN!
New Album Last Place Out March 3rd on 30th Century Records / Columbia  "While revivals arrive frequently, it's more rare for a band to make a comeback album like Last Place that stands up alongside its best work. Now that Grandaddy is back, it's as good a time as any to rediscover what made this band's music so special in the first place." -  NPR Music
Today is the day: you can now hear the brilliant new Grandaddy album, Last Place , in its entirety via NPR First Listen. Last Place, which will be released via 30th Century Records / Columbia on March 3rd, 2017, is the band's first new material since 2006.
 STREAM LAST PLACE NOW
On release day, Grandaddy will be playing a very special live streamed show for WXPN's Free At Noon series.  The set will be broadcast live on Friday, March 3rd at noon EST on acclaimed radio station WXPN in Philadelphia, as well as via their audio stream at http://xpn.org/music-artist/listen-live. The event will also be webcast via WXPN and Vuhaus https://www.vuhaus.com. This webcast will be available worldwide.
Grandaddy will also be playing just one show at this year's SXSW in celebration of the new album - taking place March 17th at Stubb's in Austin, TX.
After Grandaddy broke up in 2006, Jason Lytle relocated to Montana, where he happily made two solo albums, and reconnected with the natural world around him.  Eventually, though, life uprooted him again, taking him to Portland, Oregon until he eventually returned to his former home of Modesto, California.  The return to California was practical (he needed to be near his bandmates) but also appropriate:  he had started writing songs that he felt would be fitting for another Grandaddy album.  The result, Last Place, is a perfect addition to the band's celebrated, critically-acclaimed catalogue, that includes their breakthrough sophomore album, Sophtware Slump, and their debut, Under the Western Freeway. It's a symphonic swirl of lo-fi sonics and mile-high harmonies, found sounds and electronics-gone-awry mingling with perfect, power pop guitar tones. Lytle's voice sounds as warm and intimate as ever, giving graceful levity to the doomsday narratives that have dominated the Grandaddy output.
Grandaddy also begin playing their first shows in support of Last Placenext week, starting with a hometown show at San Francisco's Bimbo's 365 Club, and a sold out show at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge.

Friday, June 09, 2017 in Porto, Portugal at NOS Primavera
Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Nimes, France at This Is Not A Love Song Festival  As Piero Scaruffi puts it, "Royal Trux established themselves during the 90's as one of the greatest rock groups of all time. Not only did they give us the masterpiece of extraordinary scope Twin Infinitives (one of the albums that required decades to be completely assimilated) but they also reinvented the concept of a rock group, a concept that was born with the Rolling Stones (a group that had inspired the duo but just as importantly provided them with a definitive example on which to expound)".  Nothing less than "the world's greatest rock and roll band" would serve as their standard! Royal Trux began calling themselves the "World's Greatest Royal Trux Boogie Band" in the 90's (after they had signed to Virgin records) and few argued with them (some simply had no idea what "Boogie Band" meant) - even then. With a number of genre-setting and defying titles under the duos belt and more than 25 years later, the pair's music continues to sound just as progressive, vital, and confounding. Fronted by a willfully non-archetypal female singer that took on archetypal status as the years went by and the world caught on, Jennifer fit the bill for a new breed--hence the commencement of a generation of women looking to her for inspiration, if not straight up emulating and commodifying her look. Royal Trux have done more to define the look, attitude and sound of rock & roll than any other band in the genre's history-- (no surprise given the fact that they created the genre and the history!). A genre which is inextricably linked to their "Bitches Brew" approach,"everything in the pot whether you like it or not". From world music, punk rock, new age, jazz, metal, electronic, southern rock, and the rest; Royal Trux found a way to include and love it. Yes it was and is Royal Trux that changed the way in which we think of music! With the genre melting and melding inclusivity abound these days (the album Thank You was recorded years in advance of the aptly due sentiment) the Truxian language has been appropriated, absconded and recited for years. That type of organic perpetuation only happens with original thought worthy of it's own definition and Royal Trux are worthy inventors, creators, dedicated lifers and odds are, whether you know it or not, if you find yourself reading this you've been touched by Royal Trux.  Now that you know a little, Royal Trux have a lot coming up including the  unprecedented fly-in tour of Euro/and UK festivals (Royal Trux were notorious for sailing the QE2 back and forth as a means of travel/Hagerty had a known issue with planes deep seated enough that pretend/stand in for Neil (David Pajo and Allen Licht) were brought in for The Reading festival and Japanese dates back in the day) as well as a journalistic and musical trip back to Austin Texas and the "new" SXSW. Tour dates are below and who know what else the future of Royal Trux holds! Royal Trux Online: Drag City-http://www.dragcity.com/artists/royal-trux

Goldfrapp Remixed By Joe Goddard and Danny Dove, Album Out 3/31

RELEASE ANYMORE REMIX EP FEATURING MIXES FROM
JOE GODDARD & DANNY DOVE

NYC SHOWS ON SALE NOW

NEW ALBUM SILVER EYE
OUT MARCH 31ST
Self Portrait by Alison Goldfrapp
Goldfrapp release their brand new Anymore Remix EP today, which includes mixes from Joe Goddard and Danny Dove. Whilst the latter created a mix undeniably aimed at the dance floor, Joe Goddard has taken the track to a dark and minimal place.

Of his remix, which premiered on FADER yesterday, Joe Goddard says:

"With this remix I took tracks like ‘Freak' by LFO and ‘Two Of Us' by Supermayer as my inspiration and had fun with my Eurorack Modular System - I wanted to make something tense and chaotic.”

Of his remix, which premiered on Out yesterday, Danny Dove says:

"It was a real treat to get a mix for Goldfrapp. I've been a fan for years and I knew getting the opportunity work on a track was going to be fun. They are really genuine with their music and their creativity, so I knew I could do something cool and fresh and they would get it"

Listen to both remixes HERE .

As announced on 6 Music earlier this week the band will be one of the headliners at this year’s 6 Music festival in Glasgow on Friday March 24. Goldfrapp is also confirmed for the Blue Dot Festival at Jodrell Bank on July 8th and will be performing at The Roundhouse in London on March 27th – tickets sold out in less than two hours.  They have also recently announced 2 shows in New York at Brooklyn Steel on April 26th and 27th.

Goldfrapp follow up 2013’s album Tales of Us with the deep, dark and electronic musical palette of Silver Eye, their brand new studio album, made with an eclectic collection of new collaborators. Alison and Will spent 10 days in Dallas with John Congleton, Grammy-winning producer of St. Vincent, John Grant and Wild Beasts. In London they teamed up with electronic composer Bobby Krlic, aka The Haxan Cloak. Brian Eno collaborator Leo Abrahams added abstract guitar textures. The album was mixed by David Wrench (The xx, fka Twigs, Caribou).

Indie Surf Rock Outfit Go Fever Shares Self-Titled Debut Album

Go Fever Shares Self-Titled Debut Album Go Fever
Today via Independent Release    Soundcloud / Bandcamp / iTunes / Spotify

Today, February 24th, 2017, Austin-based indie rock band Go Fever releases their debut self-titled album. Produced and engineered by Danny Reisch (Delta Spirit, White Denim, Other Lives), the album is a solid listen all the way through, each track filled with insanely catchy pop-leaning hooks, three part harmonies, and classic rock and roll influences. Adding a layer of depth behind each sunny surf pop melody lies frontwoman Acey Monaro's profound and vivid lyrics. Impose recently said, "Monaro's charming vocal arrangements are incredibly accessible, featuring a handful of truly memorable hooks."

Raised in an Australian country town, Acey Monaro dropped out of school at 14, left home a year later, then married a man twice her age. Divorcing her husband after 7 years at the ripe old age of 26, she began writing songs and performing solo gigs in Sydney. Her strong voice and crafty lyrics, evoking Tracey Ann Campbell as much as J. Tillman, were all inspired by her own brimming storybook. She soon garnered a dedicated audience, prompting an early reviewer to compare her simultaneously to Feist and Emmylou Harris.

Acey fell in love whilst on holiday in Austin, Texas with Go Fever bass player Ben Burdick, eventually making the permanent move to the Lone Star State to marry him and record her debut EP with Brad Bell (War On Drugs, Arcade Fire, Spoon). In 2016, Acey assembled a group comprised of members of her favorite Austin bands to form Go Fever.

Catch Go Fever live at their record release show tonight at Cheer Up Charlies in Austin and at SXSW at Swan Dive on March 15th. Go Fever is available now!

WATCH & SHARE: Sondre Lerche - "I'm Always Watching You" "Lerche has crafted one of the year's best atmospheric synth-pop tracks, coupling club-ready rhythms and lock-yourself-in-your-room sadness with sublime prowess."
- The 405

“Violent Game” is a charming little tune, or at least so it seems. After a minute of whimsical guitar shuffling, the drums rush in, soon followed by the bass — and off we’re running as Lerche waxes moribund romance for an increasingly propulsive seven minute."
- Stereogum

"(On "Soft Feelings")The initial sonics are cold and hard like steel on goose-bumped flesh—the very opposite of soft feelings—this then amps up to an 80s disco-glorious pop song."

Tei Shi Releases New Song "How Far," New Album 'Crawl Space' out March 31st

TEI SHI RELEASES NEW SONG "HOW FAR' VIA THE FADER
UPCOMING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH MØ & SXSW
DEBUT ALBUM CRAWL SPACE TO BE RELEASED MARCH 31ST ON DOWNTOWN / INTERSCOPE RECORDS
UNVEILS AMAZING COVER ART & TRACKLISTING

Click Here to Listen to "How Far"
Tei Shi is back with her highly anticipated debut album Crawl Space due out on Downtown / Interscope Records on March 31st.
The FADER has delivered the latest track from the LP with the excellent "How Far" which is available now. They describe the song as a "sultry power ballad" writing "Tei Shi's acrobatic vocals shine once again on "How Far,"... The track - which pairs gut-wrenching lyrics like "If it pleases you to see me struggle/ I will" with dreamy guitars and buzzing production - explores the thin line between love and destruction. And it'll stick with you."
Valerie Teichier aka Tei Shi, notes, "How Far is a song about the line towed by two people between love and destruction. It talks about the process of attempting to change one another in a relationship, and the final desperate point--the last attempt--before acceptance."
Tei Shi will be hitting the road with MØ next month, a perfect pairing of 2 of the most dynamic new voices in pop music. Tei Shi will also be playing SXSW with a packed schedule to be revealed soon. All dates are below.
The pre-order is also now available.

"Tei Shi's vibrant music video for "Keep Running"... is a hypnotic visual expression of the dynamic track." Billboard
"Tei Shi may have been a long time coming, but "Keep Running" feels like the debut of an artist properly establishing her musical identity with plenty of potential for success." V Magazine
""Keep Running," a silky slip of R&B pop, a little Jesse Ware, a little Solange. The video, directed by Agostina Gálvez, which you can watch below, features the Colombian-born singer back to brunette, in various satiny numbers, curving her body with the sensual ease with which she delivers her melodies."
