Today, NYC artist Model Child releases their second release of 2024, the TiLT EP. Check out the visualizer for the first single, “Cherish You,” HERE and stream it on all other platforms HERE. Model Child released their second full-length album, Get There!, earlier this year on Pop Can Records, as well as the hyperpop-coded stand-alone single “Sports.” The EP will also include the first official release of “Everything Will Change,” from the film Next Exit, which features a score by Ariel Marx with contributions from Danny Elfman. Earlier this year, Parker worked with Teddy Geiger and Yaeji on the track “Pink Ponies,” which is part of the TRANSA compilation, also being released today.
***
Model Child, the indie art-rock project of Danny Parker, emerged from a background steeped in the contrasts of Northern Virginia’s military industrial complex. After cutting his teeth in DC’s punk scene, Parker relocated to Los Angeles with a group of fellow musicians, leading him to embark on his first solo endeavor as Model Child.
TiLT, the latest EP from Model Child, is a collaborative effort featuring notable names like Rusty Santos (Panda Bear, Black Dice), Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Josh Diamond (Elliott Smith, Gang Gang Dance), and Jon Nellen (Big Thief, Ginla). The EP spans four distinct tracks, weaving through experimental sonic landscapes while remaining deeply rooted in Parker’s introspective songwriting.
The journey begins with “Cherish You,” a pulsating synth-bass-driven track where Parker’s falsetto chant, “I cherish you,” floats amidst torrents of strings and percussion, transitioning between dreamlike reverie and chaos. “Everything Will Change” follows as a haunting ballad reflecting the unpredictability of modern life. Pitched-down guitars and droning toms accompany Parker’s melancholic vocals: “Don’t know where it starts / Don’t know where it ends / If we can go there and back again.”
Existential themes permeate the EP, and in “Do That Dance” , Parker critiques the faceless march of power structures, singing, “Handshakes wave like flags / and hang on poles / like distant stars.” The EP closes with “For You”, an anthemic, string-heavy track that leaves listeners nodding to its infectious rhythm.

LAIBACH SHARE THEIR INTERPRETATION OF “WHITE CHRISTMAS”
OPUS DEI REVISITED OUT 12/13 ON MUTE
TOURING IN EUROPE & UK CONTINUES IN 2025

Today LAIBACH, have shared “White Christmas”, a two-track single release that follows their recent cover of “Strange Fruit”. For this special seasonal release, they have worked with fellow Slovenian artists, Silence, to examine the comforting bauble that adorns everyone’s festive season, and challenge people to scrutinize what lies beneath its warm veneer.
Listen to Laibach’s “White Christmas” HERE.“White Christmas” was originally written by Irving Berlin, a Russian-born Jewish immigrant who didn’t celebrate Christmas, for the 1942 musical, Holiday Inn. The Bing Crosby version of the song, which reminisces about an old-fashioned Christmas, is not only the best-selling Christmas song of all time, it's also the best-selling single ever according to Guinness World Records. True to the season, the song has an inherent melancholia about it, and was dedicated to Irvin Berlin's three-week old son who died on Christmas Day.
Laibach, in collaboration with their compatriots Silence, invite us to consider what future Christmases, with the aggressive climate and political changes around the world, will look like. Let this track be a weapon in the war against misery and unhappiness.
Earlier this year the band released the remastered edition of Laibach’s classic album, Opus Dei and later this month, Record Store Day (November 29) will mark the first ever vinyl release of the band’s legendary John Peel Sessions. These sessions unveiled the first inklings of what Opus Dei would be, and the band’s 12-month salute to their 1987 album continues in December with the release of Opus Dei Revisited, which features two radical new interpretations of the album, one by Laibach, and the other by original producer Rico Conning.
“White Christmas” is out on Mute across all digital platforms from today.
Opus Dei Revisited is out via Mute on 2LP / 2CD and digitally on December 13, 2024. Pre-order the album HERE.

(November 21st, 2024) - Today, French vocalist, producer and composer Oklou announces debut album choke enough due Feb 7th 2025 via True Panther (Grace Ives, Model/Actriz, Frost Children). The announcement comes alongside the title track, “choke enough,” and is an embodiment of the project’s quest for meaning, of the need to be touched by anything; a grandiose epiphany or a passing quotidien moment. Oklou’s debut album was developed with co-producers Casey MQ, Danny L Harle and A. G. Cook, and features Bladee and underscores. The album is a reflection on the subconscious and conscious demands of an artistic psychology, as well as existing and creating in a brief and transient life. choke enough is filled with warm production, pairing ambient sounds with minimal club rhythms, delicate synthesizer arpeggios and found sound samples. Oklou shares, "choke enough is a very intense album for me. It’s filled with directions, tentatives and irregularities, reflecting on my last years on this planet as my heart and conscience has really decentered from myself.”
The new single follows several recently released tracks “harvest sky,” featuring Bay Area artist underscores, sensuous companion, “obvious” and “family and friends,” which came alongside a Gil Gharbi directed music video, which will all be included on the forthcoming album. Speaking further about the new single “choke enough” and its place on the album Oklou adds, “This title track is important enough to have been chosen as the title track. Not sure whether it’s because it’s one of the oldest sounds of the record, or simply my favorite? Maybe it’s because it holds an important question that I’m trying to display within the entire album; what situations are we ready to put ourselves into in order to provoke sensations and drama, in order to feel alive.”
Oklou will be performing a string of North American and European tour dates in February and March 2025. The tour begins in Europe with stops including Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and London and then continues on to North America with dates in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Find tickets here and full tour routing below.
Born Marylou Mayniel in the countryside of Western France, Oklou’s first musical experiences consisted of classical piano and cello lessons before she fell in love with electronic music and took up production. Mayniel eventually moved to Paris, where she hosted weekly radio shows and performed her first live shows as Oklou. After two EPs, 2017’s For The Beasts and 2018’s The Rite Of May, Mayniel received international acclaim, accelerated through collaborations with Mura Masa, A. G. Cook and EASYFUN (the last two both producers of Charli XCX’s Brat) and culminating in her full-length mixtape galore in 2020. It was a turning point in her artistic life, heralded as an innovative and introspective work by fans and media, with Dazed praising as “sophisticated in its composition yet totally cutting edge in its sound.” International touring followed, including support tours with Oneohtrix Point Never and Caroline Polachek as well as a much-heralded feature with Flume.
Listen to “choke enough” above and stay tuned for more from Oklou coming soon.

CYMANDE TO BE HONOURED AT THE
ARTIST & MANAGER AWARDS TONIGHT
November 21, 2024 – Today, legendary British band Cymande release their stunning new track “Only One Way” featuring highly acclaimed British singer/songwriter Celeste - listen HERE. This is the second offering from the band’s eagerly anticipated studio album, Renascence, set for release January 31, 2025 via BMG. Pre-order HERE
“Only One Way,” out today, is an uplifting and beautiful song laced with a delicate piano melody and a lush string arrangement, which gorgeously showcases Celeste’s unique and soulful voice.
One of Cymande’s founding members, Patrick Patterson commented on the collaboration: “We got together in New York some time ago. Celeste approached it melodically and lyrically from a perspective we thought was great, we came back to the UK and perfected it. Her performance is wonderful. It deserved an orchestral arrangement and we had an arranger, Chris Cameron, who could elevate it up to the firmament. He did a brilliant arrangement.”
Speaking on the process of making the track, Celeste says: "It was a blustery New York day, I had just performed at Carnegie Hall, and was asked if I’d like to meet Cymande at a studio close by to Broadway. I immediately put my hat and coat on and made my way to meet Patrick and Steve at the studio. We spoke for a little while about all being Caribbean and then Patrick began to play the guitar, the words and the melody came so naturally and we cut a vocal that day. We then met some months later to refine it all, in one of the first studios I’d been too many years before on Latimer Road, I think still partly owned by Damon Albarn, but now part of the Miloco studios. That’s when I met Adrian Reid, who made me feel so at ease and kindly offered me some piano lessons in the following months. It all felt a healing and enlightening experience to be around the guys, to hear their stories, see their faces and understand who they were and who they are now. Cymande had remained this great mystery to me, as I am sure they did to many others for a long period of time - these legends of this mystical cross genre - and to hear their account of their journey in music first hand, was affirming and assuring."

Tonight, Cymande will also be honored with the ‘Originator Award’ at the Artist & Manager Awards. The prestigious ceremony celebrates exceptional individuals who pioneer and forge new pathways in the music industry. 2024 continues to mark a monumental year for Cymande, with the earlier release of their incredible documentary Getting It Back: The Story Of Cymande (directed by award winning director Tim Mackenzie-Smith). The band also recently made their UK TV debut on Later… With Jools Holland, performing their new single “Chasing An Empty Dream” and their classic song “Bra.” Catch up on BBC Two’s Later…With Jools Holland HERE. Cymande will also embark on a U.S. headline tour, hitting major markets like New York and Los Angeles in February 2025 – full dates and info below.
Cymande’s new album Renascence, set for release January 31, 2025, is a true return to form and jewel in the crown of their iconic discography. Renascence picks up where their 1974 album Promised Heights left off – a spiritual and sonic follow-up, bringing a fresh modern edge to their iconic sound, which remains foundational to early hip-hop and funk scenes in the United States and UK. Renascence tells the story of a band that never fully got its due back in the day, but are back to take the crown by remaining true to themselves – politically aware, and spiritually positive with infectious grooves.
Renascence will be available to stream, download, on CD and on black vinyl at all major retailers. A limited edition transparent coral vinyl edition will be made available on the band’s official online store and at select indie retail accounts.

Michi shares three tracks remixed by Knxwledge
KNXWLEDGE REMIXES THREE SONGS BY MICHI
INCLUDES AN UNRELEASED TRACK FROM MICHI’S FORTHCOMING DEBUT ALBUM

Michi by Sela Shiloni
Knxwledge remixes
Listen:
(November 21, 2024) - Prolific artist and one-half of NxWorries, Knxwledge has put his spin on three tracks by Stones Throw labelmate Michi, remixing two singles by the R&B singer and songwriter, plus an as yet unreleased track from her forthcoming debut album.
While Knxwledge is best known as a beatmaker – both solo and as half of Grammy-nominated duo NxWorries with Anderson .Paak, and counts work with Kendrick Lamar and Earl Sweatshirt among his production credits, these remixes are ripe for the dance floor. Knx dials up the party vibes of “There’s No Heaven” and sets “If You Want Me”, a song which takes aim at partners who treat their lovers as playthings, to an addictive house beat. Finally, Knx molds a drum & bass track out of the unreleased song “Snoobie”.
Latinx singer-songwriter Michi embraces a sound that’s true to her authentic self – fun-loving, romantic, vulnerable, and sexually confident. Inspired by the divas of the ’90s and early ‘00s, she combines R&B with the warm sound of lowrider soul. Look out for her debut album in 2025.

Mary Eliza with "Porcelain"
INTRODUCING MARY ELIZA WITH "PORCELAIN"
ANNOUNCING DEBUT ALBUM
SPIDER DUE JANUARY 2025
PRODUCED WITH PRESTON COCHRAN (LUCY DACUS, ILLUMINATI HOTTIES) + COLLABS WITH JAKE FINCH (BOYGENIUS, SUKI WATERHOUSE)

Today, Portland-based musician Mary Eliza announces her debut album, Spider, with the surprising, devastating single "Porcelain." In collaboration with Preston Cochran (Lucy Dacus, Illuminati Hotties) and Jake Finch (boygenius, Ashe, Suki Waterhouse) at Trace Horse Studios in Nashville, she turns inward to explore the realities of her chronic illnesses. Listen to "Porcelain" here and preseave Spider, out on Jan 17, 2025, here.
While writing the record, Mary Eliza listened to a lot of Mali Velasquez’s new record I’m Green, Big Thief's Masterpiece, Mitski's The Land is Inhospitable and so are we, and Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot; you can hear each bit and piece that resonated from within the ever-unpredictable turns throughout Spider – a record intended to surprise. That is, in part, because life for Mary Eliza must be taken moment by moment, given the struggle with a mystery illness she's contended with since she was 4 years old. She only got the full diagnosis this year: a heart disorder called POTS, a connective tissue disorder called hEDS, 4 tick-borne illnesses, Lyme Disease, and a rare blood disorder.
Needing to spend several hours per week in the hospital, every day is drastically different for her; "It has ended many relationships in my life and I’m sure it will continue to weed out fake friends. My anger and processing around this illness and the medical system as a whole has come out a lot in the making of this record, and it has felt like such a cathartic experience being able to create the soul scratching feeling that I experience in sound."
You feel that catharsis immediately upon the opening of today's single "Porcelain," which rips into it with a cacophony of electric guitars and manic cymbal crashes, before dissipating into a bare acoustic strum and the gentle pulse of a snare.
Of "Porcelain," Mary says, "Porcelain has surprised me from start to finish. I initially wrote it in the snowy, dark days when a relationship of mine was seeming to crumble right in front of me. It started out slow, and timid, as I hadn’t said any of it out loud yet. As the tenderness of the initial seed of song wore off and grew into strength, resilience, and frustration, it began to take new shape. This was a song that I felt really exploded in the studio. Preston really saw my vision and was able to help me execute it. This song encompasses a lot of growth for me, and I hold it close to my heart."
Mary Eliza grew up building up a thick skin busking in the streets of San Francisco with her family band. Taking the train from Oakland, unpacking her fiddle after weekly traditional bluegrass jam sessions, Mary Eliza learned how to overcome a gravitation towards quietness at the age of six, and to insert her own melody, to tune into a group, and to find the shapes she could live in (musically and metaphorically).
These days she makes her keep teaching music (fiddle, ukulele, guitar, piano, singing, songwriting) to kids aged 5-12. She also recently put on a string of house shows, with proceeds going to to UNFPA, specifically to support pregnant women in Palestine with access to clean products and supplies for birth and hygiene; has spent a lot of time birding, writing "a couple of books" (casual), bike touring, skateboarding, and sniffing trees.
Spider is acutely observant, thoughtful, mindful, curious... a testament to the person Mary Eliza is. It is about love and quiet strength. It is about brokenness. It is about loudness in devotion to self and unabashed healing. Mary harvested each of these songs from a root that sits deep inside herself, a place that she has lived her whole life to nourish. In a tiny house in central Oregon, quieted by snow up to the window panes, the songs on this record came alive. Mary knew that she needed to sit with the overwhelming emotions of grief, acceptance, anger, and love, and let them warm in front of the fireplace and thaw. So she did just that. Spider is not only a demonstration of honesty, but it is also a movement towards slowness and unapologetic love. One of the last lines on the record sums it up when she sings, “I am a slow mover, dear, I’m gonna move slowly, I’m gonna be happy."
"Porcelain" is out now, buy/stream it here.
Spider is out January 17, 2025, presave it here.

‘EVIL WOMAN (LIVE FROM MADISON SQUARE GARDEN)’
Duran Duran have released a spectacular live performance video of their cover of ELO’s ‘Evil Woman.’ The performance was filmed by legendary Swedish director, Jonas Åkerlund (Madonna, Beyoncé, Metallica, Lady Gaga) at the band’s sold out headline concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 31, for Halloween 2024.
Watch ‘Evil Woman (Live From Madison Square Garden)’ HERE .
The ‘Evil Woman (Live From Madison Square Garden)’ clip is a full circle moment in the story of Duran Duran’s latest studio album, Danse Macabre . The concept for the album was first sparked by the band’s Halloween show at the Encore Theatre at Wynn, Las Vegas, October 31, 2022. Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor, in full costume, took to the stage complete with 20-foot-high skeletons, tombstones, cobwebs, coffins and ghouls, for a unique, themed set. The gig has gone down in Duran Duran history as the ultimate Halloween show for the ages, until now.
Fast forward to 2024 and Duran Duran once again summoned all Halloween enthusiasts to show up, dress up, and celebrate All Hallows’ Eve in style for a one night only Halloween ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City - a major performance following their huge headline performance at Latitude 2024 this summer. A unique show featuring the hits, alongside songs from the Duran Duran crypt, Forbes Magazine described the night as “a mix of chills, glamour and fun that only this band could deliver”, whilst Brooklyn Vegan tipped the show, “a total blast”.
Speaking about the Madison Square Garden concert, Duran Duran founding member and keyboardist Nick Rhodes revealed: “We wanted to invite a wider audience inside a venue to experience a Duran Duran performance, so where better to capture that on film than Madison Square Garden on Halloween. In times where we are never quite sure what is real and what is not, it felt great to return to the pulsing heart of Duran Duran, live in front of an audience. The Evil Woman video is a taste of what’s to come in Jonas Åkerlund’s live film...”
The ‘Evil Woman’ live video follows the release of the band’s Secret Oktober film, directed by award-winning filmmaker Gavin Elder, who has worked and collaborated with Duran Duran for over 20 years, most recently on the band’s globally released docu-concert film, A Hollywood High . Secret Oktober is available to watch via the StagePlayer+ app on Amazon Fire TV, LG, Samsung, Netgem (ISP partners include TalkTalk, Community Fibre, and others), casting to Apple TV and Roku devices, or via browser at: https://www.stageplayerplus.com/duranduran. A digital download of Danse Macabre De Luxe comes free to all fans who purchase the film.
To celebrate the first anniversary of the Danse Macabre album, a De Luxe version of the original is now available digitally, and on CD and box set formats via Tape Modern under exclusive licence to BMG. The De Luxe CD and digital editions feature three new bonus tracks - an instrumental entitled ‘Masque of the Pink Death,’ ELO’s 'Evil Woman' and 'New Moon (Dark Phase)', a reimagined version of their classic song 'New Moon On Monday' from the Seven and The Ragged Tiger album, featuring Andy Taylor. The limited-edition, three LP vinyl box set, includes a bonus disc featuring seven new tracks, four of which are not available in any other format. The Halloween-inspired box also includes a spirit board, metal planchette, bespoke tarot cards, four art prints, and a booklet.
In each format, Danse Macabre - De Luxe contains the original collection of 13 songs, including haunting covers of Billie Eilish’s ‘Bury A Friend’, Talking Heads’ ‘Psycho Killer’ featuring Victoria De Angelis, The Rolling Stones’ ‘Paint It Black,’ and The Specials’ ‘Ghost Town,’ plus new versions of Duran Duran classics from their own catalogue. Guest artists include producer, guitarist, and composer Nile Rodgers, Victoria De Angelis of Måneskin, and former Duran Duran band members Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo. Exquisitely packaged, the record features images adapted from a collection of authentic vintage séance photos that Nick Rhodessourced at auction.
Danse Macabre is also available in an innovative, limited-edition version KiTalbum. An exclusive collaboration with South Korean-based media and music technology company, KiTbetter, the KiTalbum is a new format that unites the physical and digital worlds within a special mobile-based KiTplayer (available for both Android and iOS) to create a full album experience.
The Danse Macabre - De Luxe KiTalbum comes in an exclusive coffin-shaped, foiled box and includes an insert card, four exclusive photo cards in an envelope, a 22-page album booklet, a wearable button, and a customised black ball chain. The KiTalbum unlocks the experience on the KiTplayer where, in addition to the full 16 album tracks, the stunning music videos for both ‘Black Moonlight’ and ‘Danse Macabre’, the lyric videos for ‘Psycho Killer’ and ‘Evil Woman’, documentary footage about the making of the record, song lyrics and exclusive photos are featured, together with a special VIP fan hub.
Danse Macabre has been described as "delightfully devilish" by Billboard , "a treat for the senses" by American Songwriter, "playfully dark original tunes" by the Associated Press , with Under The Radar praising the “haunting harmonies,” and Rolling Stone confirming, "Duran Duran are feeling the spooky energy."

Throbbing Gristle Share "Convincing People (Live At The Volksbühne Berlin, New Year's Eve 2005)" || 'TG Berlin' Box Set Out 12/6 On Mute
THROBBING GRISTLE SHARE “CONVINCING PEOPLE (LIVE AT THE VOLKSBÜHNE BERLIN, NEW YEAR’S EVE 2005)”
TG BERLIN BOX SET DUE OUT 12/6 ON MUTECHRONICLING UNRELEASED WORK FROM BERLIN, RECORDED AROUND A SERIES OF LIVE EVENTS AT THE VOLKSBÜHNE

Today Throbbing Gristle have shared an unreleased live version of “Convincing People (Live at the Volksbühne Berlin, New Year’s Eve 2005)” ahead of the release of their lavish box set, TG BERLIN, that is due out on December 6, 2024.
The track, originally from 1979’s 20 Jazz Funk Greats, comes complete with a live document of the performance, which was part of a very special series of live events at the Volksbühne over New Year’s Eve 2005 and New Year’s Day 2006.
Listen to “Convincing People” (Live at the Volksbühne Berlin, New Year’s Eve 2005)" HERE.
The Throbbing Gristle-curated event chronicled in the box set saw the band perform a live set on New Year’s Eve and an improvised live soundtrack to a new 16mm print of Derek Jarman’s In The Shadow of the Sun (1981) on New Year’s Day. While the band were in Berlin, they also recorded two final songs alongside a 48-minute piece of new music.
The box set, which is comprised of 4 CDs, a Blu Ray, a 10” vinyl and a booklet featuring unseen photographs from the time by Paul Heartfield as well as new sleeve notes by the award winning Scottish visual artist Lucy McKenzie, collates both of these performances, alongside the TG Berlin Studio Session, which includes the final Throbbing Gristle single (two unreleased tracks, “Scabs & Saws” and “Wotwududo”,) and an unreleased 48-minute piece titled ‘TG Berlin Studio Session 2005 - 2006’, recorded at Planet Roc studios during the time they were in the city.

TG Berlin will also include the “rehearsal” for In The Shadow of the Sun, recorded on New Year’s Day at the iconic Volksbühne (“people’s theatre”). The performance of In The Shadow of the Sun was improvised, so the two documents offer a different perspective on the soundtrack to Jarman’s work.
The New Year’s Eve show previewed five songs from the band’s first album in 27 years, Part Two: The Endless Not, several years before its release, on a set list that included “Convincing People”, “Slug Bait”, and “Hamburger Lady” (their first encore in 25/26 years, and what an encore!), tracks that had lost none of their potency in the intervening years, plus the released track, “Splitting Sky” and more. The performance is also included as a Blu-ray.
In 2004, Throbbing Gristle, Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (1950-2020) and Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (1955-2010), regrouped and the following six years became a period of renewed creativity for the band. Back in the studio after 20 years, they found group intuition when performing was intact, and their ability to break down barriers and forge connections with an audience was more powerful than ever.
This new box set, the latest release in an ongoing collaboration with Mute, is a compelling document of Throbbing Gristle performing and recording as a four-piece with a renewed vigor. From the opening beats and serrated electronics of one of their final tracks recorded together, “Scabs and Saws”, it’s clear that TG are not revisiting ground already tread, but bringing two decades of individual experience back into the studio to create a new exploration of sound. The vocals have a different depth, the groove is deeper and the atmosphere has lost none of its potency.
Throbbing Gristle formed in 1975 and for the next six years they fully delivered on punk’s failed promise to explore extreme culture as a way of sabotaging systems of control. During that time, they released crucial records such as The Second Annual Report Of Throbbing Gristle (1977), D.O.A The Third And Final Report Of Throbbing Gristle (1978), and 20 Jazz Funk Greats (1979) and were infamously named “wreckers of civilisation” by the Conservative MP Nicholas Fairbairn in 1976.
From 2004, they embarked on a series of live performances that included the Coachella and Primavera festivals, Tate Modern, and Heaven, and returned to the studio to produce several albums, including TG Now (2004), and Part Two: The Endless Not (2007), as well as a 3-day “studio installation” at the ICA before disbanding in 2010. Their impact on music, culture and the arts has been immeasurable and is still felt today across music, film, theater and fine art.
