TEHYA RELEASES “SPOONS FOR SWEETS” + INTIMATE MUSIC VIDEO ON NEON GOLD RECORDS

Hailing from LA via Seattle, the 24-year-old Filipino-Native American singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist TEHYA releases “spoons for sweets” today HERE with an intimate music video HERE.
About the track, she says: “Spoons stems from such a hyper-specific memory of a man I met a while ago literally stealing a dessert spoon for me. Our acquaintance was fairly short-lived, but every moment with him was so full of life, curiosity, and playfulness. We rarely play anymore, as adults. His demeanor inspired so much in me. “spoons for sweets” dives into that light heartedness, as well as surrounding areas of my life, some more bittersweet than others, that the experience invoked."
In November, she celebrated Native American Heritage Month with the release of new single “trap door”, which landed her on the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist. It was her second notable cover in recent months, on the heels of her first magazine cover in July when she joined Laufey, Lola Young, Royal Otis, Teddy Swims, Artemas and more on the cover of NME Magazine.
Tehya released her debut single “crowd pleaser” (produced with Rence and Contradash) in March, followed by “biscuits & gravy” a R&B-tinged track produced by TEHYA, Contradash and Doc Daniel (Natalie Jane, Rei Ami) and more recently, “peach pit” as part of the Bose x NME: C24 mixtape compilation.
TEHYA is the latest superstar-in-waiting to join the lengthy lineage of alt-pop artists at Neon Gold Records, the celebrated independent label that first put out Charli XCX, Tove Lo, MARINA, Christine and the Queens, and many more.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest in the crosshairs of her ancestral cultures; Cherokee, Filipino and Scotch-Irish, Tehya was heavily influenced by music and took after her father, a local legend funk drummer, from a young age. After leaving home at 16, she found her community in a Capitol Hill artist compound frequented by some of the biggest names in the Seattle underground rap scene. It was here she picked up production via osmosis, sitting in on sessions and teaching herself Pro Tools and FL whenever a room was going spare. She is self-taught across the board – playing guitar, keys, drums, and writing 100% of her toplines and lyrics – a self-made DIY popstar unbound by genre and ready for the spotlight.

Arima Ederra shares two new songs "Oh God" feat. Mereba & "Really Tired"
ARIMA EDERRA RETURNS TO SHARE TWO NEW SONGS
“OH GOD” FEATURING MEREBA & “REALLY TIRED”

“Oh God” featuring Mereba / “Really Tired”
LISTEN: https://arimaederra.lnk.to/ohgodreallytired
(December 6th, 2024) - Today, LA-based musician Arima Ederra returns to share two new songs, “Oh God” featuring Mereba and “Really Tired.” Produced by frequent collaborator Teo Halm (SZA, Rosalía, Omar Apollo), these songs serve as an outlet of spiritual catharsis, written to encapsulate and release some of the pent-up emotions that have accumulated over years of tumultuous world events. Arima first previewed “Oh God” for audiences at select shows on her October tour run supporting Ravyn Lenae in which she played across North America including Webster Hall in New York and The Fonda Theatre in LA. “Oh God” and “Really Tired” set the stage for more new music to come from Arima in 2025.
This pair of songs marks the first offering of new solo music for Arima since her critically acclaimed debut album An Orange Colored Day, released in 2022. The album, which NPR described as “a weightless form of R&B that simmers in the ether like incense”, was honed over four years of work behind the scenes to find her voice. Interspersed with recorded phone voice memos of memories and personal moments, AOCD shifts between the blissful imagination and spirituality of youth, and the sharper realities endured in adulthood. Informed by Arima’s own experiences growing up as the daughter of an Ethiopian refugee father, the album is a personal journey through growing up.
Listen to “Oh God” featuring Mereba and “Really Tired” above, and stay tuned for more music from Arima coming very soon.

Earlier this year Kraftwerk completed an extraordinary nine-night concert series celebrating 50 years of Autobahn–which was composed, produced, and recorded by founders Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1974–at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The shows garnered rave reviews in the press, a compass for what’s in store for the MULTIMEDIA TOUR:
“...the central appeal of an in-its-entirety performance is getting to sift through the deep cuts, and ‘Autobahn’ had plenty to offer beyond the still delightful 20-minute title track. The meditative, two-part ‘Kometenmelodie’ offered a lovely little breather amidst all of the kling und klang of the heavy-hitters, while ‘Mitternacht’ felt like something out of a horror movie, with video screens zooming in and out on an unnervingly placid nocturnal residential scene.” – Variety
“In the 50 years since Kraftwerk released Autobahn, which opened this residency on Tuesday, the alchemy they discovered – coaxing beauty and emotion from cold, lifeless technology – has filtered down through hip-hop and post-punk, synth-pop and ambient music and more.”
“Looking like something out of the TRON movie in lit-up circuitry-embellished jumpsuits (which was fitting considering the concert took place at a Disney venue) Kraftwerk presented a unique concert experience…You didn't have to be a huge Kraftwerk fan to appreciate the immersive color-changing visuals and robotic flair of the show…” - Los Angeles Magazine
“...a sophisticated night which showcased a band that has disrupted modern music more than anyone else in the last fifty years.” - MAGNETIC
Tickets for MULTIMEDIA TOUR 2025 - 50 Years of Autobahn go on sale to the general public Friday, December 13 at 10AM local. Registration for presale opens today, December 5, and presale begins Wednesday, December 11 at 10AM local. Sign up for presale access here.

About Kraftwerk:
The multi-media project Kraftwerk was started in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. They set up their electronic Kling Klang Studio in Düsseldorf, Germany, where they conceived and produced all Kraftwerk albums. By the mid 1970’s Kraftwerk had achieved international recognition for their revolutionary electronic ‘sound scapes’ and their musical experimentation with robotics and other technical innovations. With their visions of the future, Kraftwerk created the soundtrack for the digital age of the 21st century. Their compositions, using innovative techniques, synthetic voices and computerized rhythms, have had a major international influence across an entire range of music genres: from Electro to Hip-Hop, from Techno to SynthPop. In their live performances, Kraftwerk composer, author and producer Ralf Hütter illustrates his belief in the respective contributions of both man and machine.
Starting with the retrospective of their catalogue at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2012, in recent years Kraftwerk have returned full circle back to their origins within the Düsseldorf art scene of the late Sixties. The concert series at MoMA were followed by further presentations at Tate Modern Turbine Hall (London), Akasaka Blitz (Tokyo), Opera House (Sydney), Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles), Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris), Neue National Galerie (Berlin), and Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao). Most recently KRAFTWERK played 8 nights with their 8 Catalogue Albums at LA’s famed Walt Disney Hall. In 2014, Ralf Hütter and his former partner Florian Schneider were honored with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Son Lux Release New Single "Don't Say It's Too Late" From New EP 'Risk of Make Believe' out January 17 via City Slang

RISK OF MAKE BELIEVE
OUT JANUARY 17, 2025 VIA CITY SLANG

Son Lux, the band of composers enlisted to score 2023’s genre-defying Best Picture, Everything Everywhere All At Once, is back with their first release of new music since their prismatic 49-track soundtrack. Risk Of Make Believe, out January 17th, is a new EP that encapsulates what made the experimental rock trio a perfect fit for the film: an unlikely alchemy of beguiling sounds and heart-on-sleeve passion. It is further evidence of Son Lux's wild creativity, voracious appetite for experimentation, and ability to distill seemingly disparate universes of sound into a signature unmistakably their own.
“Don’t Say It’s Too Late,” the EP’s second single, features Grammy Award-winning arranger and string player Rob Moose (Bon Iver, Paul Simon, John Legend, yMusic). The interplay between Lott’s voice, electronics, and strings creates a sweeping winter ballad balancing longing and loss, precariously reaching for the hope of reconciliation. The track is out today and can be heard HERE.

Patience and ease pervade the EP’s title track, “Risk Of Make Believe.” The song begins with what sounds like drums through a vocoder up in the choir loft. Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia join with a precise but pliant groove, drums and bass moving together as if in slow motion. What unfolds is an unhurried song that never feels restless in its gradual evolution. Ryan Lott sings, “What’s the risk of make believe?” weaving a plea to give oneself permission to change through tessellations of crystallizing guitar.
More traditional tracks give way to a pair of slowly unfurling songs on the meditative back half of the EP. Fans of the band will recognize the minimal, repeated refrains as a return to Son Lux’s roots. “Cocoon” holds space for metamorphosis over seven minutes, its spare, cyclical form belying a steady, relentless revolution. Detuned Tunis drums and prepared guitars shed like a chrysalis from around a choir of Lott’s evolving vocals, propelled by Chang and Bhatia’s sinewy rhythm section sensibility.
The EP closes with “Take Your Time With Me,” a slow-burn anthem that showcases the band's ability to reconcile hooky pop and thrilling experimentation. Spacious clearings of sound give way to technicolor thickets, with Chang’s drumming thrillingly pitting splatter-paint abstraction against nod-inducing viscerality. The EP leaves us right where we began—imagining and longing for whatever reinvention might follow.

Following his dancefloor focused new album ‘Honey’, electronic producer Caribou comes to End Of The Road for what is sure to be a euphoric night on The Woods stage 15 years after his first appearance in the Big Top. A huge star successfully moving between pop and indie, Self Esteem’s anthems will provide the life-affirming singalong moments of the festival. Having recently released his new album ‘Mahashmashama’ - a collection of apocalyptic rockers - the chicest man in music, Father John Misty, returns to Larmer Tree Gardens following his “show-stealing” (The Guardian) appearance at the festival in 2017. Enigmatic singer, songwriter and actor Sharon Van Etten will headline the Thursday night, alongside her new band The Attachment Theory - who have just announced their self-titled debut album, which is out in the new year.
Also in this initial announcement are electronic shoegazers Mount Kimbie, chamber rock darlings Black Country, New Road will display their incredible musicianship with vocal duties now shared three ways, whilst experimental fusion rock group GOAT serve up their melting pot of music from around the world.
The best new guitar music is always on display at End Of The Road with former black midi frontman Geordie Greep and Aussie punks Tropical Fuck Storm leading the way, whilst the old heads of Throwing Muses bring their experience and enviable back catalogue to proceedings.
Leftfield electronic pop fans are already going to be in for a treat with the announcement of John Maus and These New Puritans whilst Joy Orbison will offer something a bit more direct and heavy to lead you onto the late-night dance floor.
South African Future Funk trailblazer Moonchild Sanelly is set to get feet moving, having recently collaborated with Self Esteem on single ‘Big Man’. The rich and mellow tones of American musician Rosali will offer a serene moment, whilst the insatiable beats from Colombian electronic artist Ela Minus are sure to fill the dancefloor.
Folk music has always been an important part of the full End Of The Road experience, and with Lisa O’Neill’s announcement, this is set to continue. Emma-Jean Thackray has become one of the leading lights in the UK jazz scene with her crossover-friendly take on spiritual jazz. The beloved eclecticism of End of The Road is perhaps no better demonstrated than with Syrian bouzouki player Mohammad Syfkhan.
Many more names will be added in the coming months, as End Of The Road continues to be the destination for musical discovery and exploration. Throw into the mix a superbly curated comedy and literature lineup, the best independent food and drink vendors and the stunning Victorian pleasure grounds Larmer Tree Gardens, (where it all takes place), and it’s no wonder why End Of The Road is consistently called the best festival in the UK.

On January 25 Iggy Pop and earMusic will release Iggy Pop Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2023, an essential Iggy Pop live album, celebrating a career, a catalog and a performer that only gathers more raw power throughout the years. Another taste of the album is revealed today with "The Passenger (Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2023),” the second single to be taken from the LP. With over 425 million streams, "The Passenger" is not only an iconic track but also Iggy Pop's most streamed song. Here with a 7-piece band and a sold out crowd, Iggy Pop brings the song roaring to full life at historic Stravinski Hall at the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival. Listen /share “The Passenger (Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2023)” here.
Pre-order the album HERE.
“Stravinsky Hall is special, like Carnegie or the Garden or Sydney Opera. I’ve dived in them all.” - Iggy Pop
On July 6, 2023 Iggy Pop returned to the Montreux Jazz Festival backed by a seven-piece band and thrilled an at-capacity Stravinski Auditorium crowd with a career-spanning set including tracks from his time with The Stooges, his Idiot, Lust for Life, and New Values albums, leading up to the release of Every Loser. It marked Iggy’s third appearance at the festival and his monumental performance was recorded and filmed by the Montreux Jazz Festival team. The concert will be available as a Blu-ray+CD Digipak, 2 LP Gatefold, and digital download on January 24, 2025 worldwide via earMUSIC.
There has never been an artist on stage quite like Iggy Pop and here he has never been better. With a band as versatile and acrobatic as the artist himself, there is everything from the glorious primitivism of Stooges-era “I Wanna Be Your Dog” and “T.V. Eye,” the swagger of “Lust for Life,” the precise metronomic drone of “Nightclubbing, “and the full-on unleashed rock fury of the recent “Modern Day Ripoff” and “Frenzy.”

“Soliloquy meets psychedelia as the SF semi-goths ‘timely rip’ us a new album, Distal, genre-blended and aged like a fine Zinfandel. Solid gold via Solid Brass.” — Echoes & Dust
“[Taps] into the haunted atmosphere of their early recordings while imbuing them with a hypnotic, psychedelic glow… A thrilling return that marks a new era of creativity for the group.” — Treble
Former Bay Area trio Pleasure Forever share a new single today from their forthcoming 25th Anniversary reissues of their early catalog and rarities, all of which is for the first time on streaming services. Hear/share "Chemical Priest" on all DSPs HERE and Bandcamp.
The band’s two debut 12” EPs (1997 and 1999 respectively) were originally released in 1999 as The Devil’s Pleasures on CD via Troubleman Unlimited. On December 20th, 2024, the band releases those 11 tracks, remastered and with reconfigured artwork, for the first time on streaming services. The first single "An Exact Seance" premiered recently via Treble HERE.
In 2007, the band released an LP & CD called Bodies Need Rest, which compiled rare and unreleased tracks via Conspiracy Records. Those tracks have never been available on streaming services, until now. Bodies Need Rest has an updated master and hit streaming services on November 8th, 2024. Hear/share on all DSPs.
in 2023, 20 years after the band’s last proper album Alter was released on Sub Pop — with the catalog number Sub Pop #666, no less — Pleasure Forever released a new mini-album titled Distal via Solid Brass Records.
Pleasure Forever remains as hard to characterize as they’ve always been. Moments of heavy hitting rock tendencies tie together their continuing exploration of spooky 60s psychedelia and their peculiarly warped feel of classic rock from an alternate universe, dashed with hypnotic and minimal rhythms reminiscent of heady Krautrock. Distal will appeal to fans of Roxy Music, The Doors, The VSS, CAN, Amon Düül II, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds…

GAZELLE TWIN shares new video for Gary Numan + Ade Fenton's mix of 'Black Dog' - Shadow Dogs out 6 Dec via Invada, feat. reinterpretations by Keeley Forsyth, Marta Salogni, Penelope Trappes, Mark Jenkin, Sealionwoman and BEAK>
LATEST TRACK TO BE SHARED FROM SHADOW DOGS, NEW REWORKINGS AND REINTERPRETATIONS OF TRACKS FROM THE ACCLAIMED ALBUM, BLACK DOG – OUT 6 DECEMBER 2024
FEATURING GARY NUMAN & ADE FENTON, KEELEY FORSYTH , BEAK> , MARTA SALOGNI, PENELOPE TRAPPES, MARK JENKIN & SEALIONWOMAN
KINGS PLACE RESIDENCY ANNOUNCED FOR 2025

Gazelle Twin has shared the Gary Numan & Ade Fenton Mix of ‘Black Dog’, the latest taste of what to expect from Shadow Dogs - a brand new album of reworkings and reinterpretations of tracks from her acclaimed album, Black Dog - out on Friday 6 December on Invada Records.
Gazelle Twin previously worked with the pioneering electronic artist and his long-term producer and collaborator Ade Fenton on Numan’s Intruder album back in 2021, however, this dark, sinister reworking of ‘Black Dog’ sees Gazelle Twin and Numan sharing lead vocals for the first time. Fenton, who produced the track, enthuses, “It’s a huge honour to be able to work with these two geniuses and I enjoyed producing this track enormously.”
The accompanying video featuring Gary Numan and Gazelle Twin was directed John Minton (who created the video for the original track). The video, described by Minton as a “claustrophobic dream box” reflects their entwined voices with mesmerising video feedback processing.

Gary Numan said of the collaboration, “I’ve long thought of Elizabeth (Gazelle Twin) as one of the most inventive artists out there. Highly creative and experimental, she’s not afraid to follow her own uniquely individual path. It’s a genuine honour for me to be asked to contribute to ‘Black Dog’.”
Gazelle Twin went on to say, “Gary’s visionary work has inspired me since I first tinkered on a synthesiser as a kid; his original vocal style, melodic punch and off-world futuristic weirdness still appeals massively to this day. To have Gary and Ade's version of ‘Black Dog’ as part of the Shadow Dogs album is always going to be mind-blowing to me.”
Gazelle Twin’s forthcoming album of “ghost” or “shadow” versions of tracks from her fourth studio album features reinterpretations by Keeley Forsyth , Marta Salogni, Penelope Trappes, Mark Jenkin, Sealionwoman and BEAK>, who launched the series with their blistering take on 'Fear Keeps Us Alive'.
Talking about Shadow Dogs, Bernholz says, “When making Black Dog, a persistent obsession I had was the link between audio-visual tech and the nature of ghosts. I thought about Edison’s Ghost Machine, early EVP experiments, and the “ghosting” of transmitted images on the first televisions. All recordings are ghosts of sorts, and so came the idea of inviting musicians that I really admire, to create ghost or shadow versions of these songs, and together form a new pack - Shadow Dogs.”
Gazelle Twin’s Black Dog – a powerful and unforgettable album dealing with confrontation, childhood fears, and how they manifest in adulthood – was described by Uncut as “her most lustrous, luxuriant and darkly beautiful to date”. Gazelle Twin’s commanding live performance of the album has already been witnessed at Rewire, Donau, Simple Things and Supersonic festival, and the British Library, London and she has recently been announced as Artist in Residence at Kings Place, London. The residency will launch on 18 January with a new interpretation of her immersive installation, an incantation of grief and defiance in lament for women lost to violence, We Wax. We Shall Not Wane, featuring Maxine Peake.

EDITORS NOTES Composer, producer, and performance artist Elizabeth Bernholz (AKA Gazelle Twin) created this “transformative” performance persona in 2009 to encompass; composition, studio albums, soundtracks, art installations and live performance, intended to openly address a deep-rooted aversion to traditional and contemporary norms across the music industry, particularly for women. Her ever-changing, identity-warping personas based on powerful, emotional themes and a fiercely independent spirit has driven her output and many collaborations since.
Bernholz has independently released three critically acclaimed studio albums to date; The Entire City (2011), Unflesh (2014), and Pastoral (2018), together with three soundtrack LPs from album off-shoot performance projects; Out of Body (2015), Kingdom Come (2017), and Deep England with NYX Electronic Drone Choir (2021). As a newly established soundtrack composer, her credits for Film, TV, and Video games include: AMC’s The Walking Dead, The Virtues (C4), Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Netflix), Nocturne (Amazon/Blumhouse), The Power (BFI/Shudder) and Then You Run (Kudos/Sky). Her collaborations as vocalist and producer include Gary Numan, Halsey (through Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross), Maxine Peake, Perc, Blanck Mass, DJ Dave Clarke and more. Her latest album, Black Dog (2023) one of Electronic Sound, The Quietus and Music OMH’s Albums of the Year, is out now on Invada Records.
PRAISE FOR GAZELLE TWIN’S BLACK DOG “The music is her most lustrous, luxuriant and darkly beautiful to date… A mighty musical exorcism” - Uncut 9/10*“Elizabeth Bernholz needles her way into your bones with this dripping minimalist encroach…” - The Guardian“… as if the archives had turned up an unreleased Amicus Productions slasher with Diamanda Galás providing soundtrack vocals” - The Wire“Gazelle Twin masterfully keeps us in suspense” - MOJO 4/5*“…steeped in anxious beauty” - Fortean Times“Deeply unsettling and confrontational… a more confessional side of this innovative artist” - Electronic Sound“Black Dog is an album of dualities, with the narrator constantly in two places and numerous instances of parallel lyrics as Bernholz reckons with the past, present and future at once” - The Quietus

Tamino Unveils New Single "Dissolve" From Forthcoming LP Every Dawn's a Mountain, Out March 21st on erēmia/Communion Records

North American Tour Begins Spring 2025, Including Stops at NYC's Brooklyn Steel, Two Nights at Chicago's Thalia Hall, LA's Belasco, SF's Fillmore & More

Today, Tamino unveils the latest single "Dissolve" off his forthcoming album Every Dawn's a Mountain, a major focal point of the record that highlights its main sonic pillar – the Arabic oud — the fretless stringed instrument he's been playing for several years now. Originally written in the middle of winter, "Dissolve" arrived during a long exploratory stay in NYC, while he was living in a tiny sixth floor walk-up apartment without warm water on Bedford Avenue. Some time later he began playing it live, singing half-finished lyrics, and on the setlist simply called it "Bedford," after the song's birthplace. The track gradually developed into a standout of Tamino's live shows, and similarly, with its lush oud-filled melodies, it became a real centerpiece of the new album.
Out March 21st, 2025 via erēmia/Communion Records, Every Dawn's a Mountain is fueled by the feeling of fire, and realizing that everything that has been built before and within you is about to burn down – perhaps for the best. The record is one about loss, displacement, breaking up and letting go of the past. From those embers of emotional wreckage, Tamino emerges and enters his next chapter. Written primarily in his new home of New York City, the LP brings a new beginning for the Belgian-Egyptian artist whose music earned him collaborations with Mitski, Radiohead's Colin Greenwood, David Byrne and an opening slot for Lana Del Rey. He headlines arenas in most of Europe and the Middle East, and as Bob Boilen once declared, Tamino has "one of the most remarkable and memorable voices to ever grace the Tiny Desk."

Already the album's recently released lead single "Babylon" arrived to acclaim with major support across radio – landing him adds at SiriusXM's Coffee House, Acoustic Café, WXPN and World Café – plus additional love from streaming platforms and international playlists including Spotify's coveted US New Music Friday, plus editorial love from Rolling Stone, The Independent and NYLON, who called the new album "a turning point," in a recent interview. Read the full NYLON feature HERE and revisit "Babylon," which Tamino has declared a cornerstone of the album, evolving in three monumental cities – Brussels, New Orleans and New York – each their own modern Babylons, HERE.
Though he was first inspired to learn guitar by his grandfather – famed Egyptian singer Muharram Fouad – the album's arrangements are largely built around the sound of his Arabic oud. Tamino's voice smolders throughout, flaring from deep and sultry one moment to a flickering falsetto the next. "Using music to convey deeper messages is key to what Tamino does," described The Guardian. "It's led many to compare him to the late American singer Jeff Buckley, but with orchestral arrangements nodding to his Arab lineage."
Produced by Tamino and longtime collaborator PJ Maertens, with co-production by Eric Heigle (Arcade Fire, Dawn Richard) and Alessandro Buccellati (Arlo Parks, SZA), and additional production by Chris Messina (Bon Iver, Big Red Machine), Zach Hanson (Bon Iver, Sylvan Esso) and Jo Francken, Every Dawn's a Mountain follows Tamino's 2022 album (Sahar) and 2019 debut (Amir), and is mainly backed by Tamino's live band of musicians. In March he will return to the road for exclusive intimate release shows in Rome, Berlin, Paris, London, Amsterdam and Brussels, before setting out on a North America headlining tour with stops at New York City's Brooklyn Steel, Los Angeles' Belasco, San Francisco's The Fillmore, two nights at Chicago's Thalia Hall and more.
