Bully Releases New Song, Sophomore Album Out October 20th on Sub Pop
BULLY RELEASES NEW SONG "KILLS TO BE RESISTANT"
EXTENDS WORLD TOUR
LOSING OUT OCTOBER 20TH ON SUB POP

Listen to "Kills to Be Resistant"
Bully's sophomore album is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases for the fall, with early reviews and critics raving about the record's explosive power and sharp and potent lyrics. Losing will be released on Sub Pop worldwide on October 20th and today the band released another track from the album titled "Kills to Be Resistant". The song deals with the emotional conflict of unrequited love and the feeling of restraint and pushing your feelings aside out of respect for the situation.
Due to popular demand Bully have added more shows both for North America and the rest of the world as anticipation grows around the album's release. All dates can be found below.Listen to "Running"
Listen to "Feel The Same"
New York Magazine included Losing as part of their Fall Music Preview writing ""Alicia Bognanno has the loveliest snarl this side of Nirvana's Live at Reading. That it's in a pop-punk setting, with lyrics reckoning with adulthood, only strengthens its power." Wired Magazine also featured the band stating "full of tough-earned wisdom and egalitarian rage, Losing is a high-energy, high-impact emotional workout for everyone involved." The New York Times featured the previous single "Running" in their music roundup telling us "The bass hops around nervously in nearly constant eighth notes, with drums syncopated against it à la the Police; a guitar on the left offers a neat new-wave hook while another one on the right grumbles occasionally with dissonant, distorted squawks. And as those tensions flare into multiple little crescendos, the singer Alicia Bognanno gets herself more and more worked up."
Losing is available for pre-order now from Sub Pop Records and the band's webstore. LP pre-orders of the album from Sub Pop and select independent retailers will receive the limited Loser Edition on clear vinyl with black swirls (while supplies last).

Liars Release New Video For "Staring at Zero"; Tour Resumes October 6
LIARS
RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR “STARING AT ZERO”
NEW ALBUM TFCF OUT NOW
U.S. TOUR RESUMES OCTOBER 6

"[TFCF] couldn’t be a more appropriate marker of the irrepressible project’s evolution, nor a more fitting testament to Liars’ legacy." – Pitchfork
“TFCF signals yet another rebirth.” – Spin
"...fuckin' great...absolutely lovely..." – Noisey
“a triumph that [Liars] continue successfully exploring such drastically different paths." – Brooklyn Vegan
LIARS return with a haunting and tense video for “Staring At Zero,” the latest track to be released from TFCF (which stands for Theme From Crying Fountain).
Directed by Clemens Habicht, who has previously worked with Clinic and Tame Impala amongst others, this sinister film takes us on a short journey through the waterways of the Australian bush. Watch here.
Liars embark on the West Coast leg of their U.S. tour on October 6 with support from HXXS (Angus Andrew produced the new album, MKDRONE, out this week via Wizardvizion). See below for a complete itinerary.
Liars have, as a matter of course, sounded radically different with each album, pursuing new concepts and occupying diverse mindsets. On this, Liars’ eighth studio album, the bustling backdrops of Los Angeles, Berlin and New York have been replaced with a presence far more intimate and autobiographical as Liars once again boldly step out of their comfort zone into vastly new musical territory.
Angus Andrew decamped to his native Australia, specifically to a remote part of the Australian bush, to create an album unlike any Liars had attempted before. Cut off from the rest of the world in his remote home studio, with no other distractions, Angus gave free reign to artistic impulses he’d never explored and those included experimenting with the acoustic guitar and sampling.

The Prids Share Video "Summer Cult" via Post-Punk | Announce LP Out via This-a-Way Records
THE PRIDS SHARE "SUMMER CULT" VIDEO
VIA POST-PUNK
ON WEST COAST TOUR NOW WITH
THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART
WATCH & SHARE: The Prids - "Summer Cult"
WATCH & SHARE: The Prids - "Do I Look Like I'm In Love?" "An authentic and integral part of the independent music scene."
- Post-Punk
"Portland shoegaze/punk mainstays."
- She Shreds
"With guitar tones ripped from the C86 compilation and shamelessly lovelorn lyrics, it's no wonder the Prids have been likened to 1980s gloom-pop titans the Cure and the Smiths."
- Willamette Week
"The pair sing together, mixing Keith’s delicate delivery with Frederickson’s moody, muddy vox..."
- SPIN
"This Portland, Oregon-based band strips down indie rock, then builds it back up with beats and synths. The sound is shoegazing a la My Bloody Valentine and electronic a la Eno, but some of their tunes have more sizable melodies and grooves."
- NY Post
"Mixes the Chameleons’ atmospheric psych pop with Pixies-esque male/female vocals."
- Magnet
"The majority of the songs that follow plod, then sweep, then plod some more—but in a good way—and shift textures and tempos to create mood in a strikingly short and sweet amount of time."
- PopMattersPortland-OR based, noise pop band, The Prids, share their new single and video, "Summer Cult," from their forthcoming album. Post-Punk premiered the new video from the "Shoegazing Post-Punk heroes," stating that it "playfully evokes the kind of late 60’s and early 70’s atmospheric pagan cult psychedelia found in Nico’s film for the 1969 track 'Evening Of The Light.'" She Shreds premiered their lead single and video, stating, "Despite what La Fave refers to as the band’s “heavy-handed lyrics,” The Prids decided to show their more playful side in the video." Do I Look Like I'm In Love? is due out via This-a-Way Records. The album was recorded at Rock nRoll B&B on Sauvie Island, 15 miles north of Portland. It was recorded and co-produced by Sean Flora (The Shins, The Black Keys, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks). The band is currently on tour supporting The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.
Lead single and title track, "Do I Look Like I'm In Love?", is a dark reflection on modern life and its meaninglessness. Being a part of the scene for over 20 years, the band has reflected upon the way modern culture has changed independent music and autonomy. Having spearheaded the Pacific Northwest DIY scene, bassist and vocalist Mistina La Fave, vocalist and guitarist David Frederickson, drummer Gordon Nickel and keyboardist and bassist Tim Yates, The Prids's career has spanned over 20 years. The band has toured alongside Built to Spill, among other notable acts, and Henry Rollins is a long time fan. Having faced a life altering brain hemorrhage in Spring 2015, La Fave and the rest of the band are set to pick up where they left off with this forthcoming release. The album comes out on the band's own DIY label, This-a-Way Records, which has been instrumental in the band's culture for the past 20 years.
Do I Look Like I’m In Love? illustrates the Portland dark pop band’s mettle through keen lyrical observations, but also in its attention to sonic detail and song craft—this record couldn’t have been made by any other band at any other time. “Do I Look Like I’m In Love?” and “The Shape” both swirl and build like dreams filled with grey skies and the flickering faces of past friends and lovers. These songs nudge up against the air-brushed punk of “Lie Here” and the bass-driven “Colliding,” which recalls the dazed jangle of early R.E.M. More than two decades in, The Prids have made the best and most cohesive album of their career.

“Grohl and the Foos rework rock history into an album that pays homage to, and uses their love for, the late greats to reinvigorate the band. It’s an album for rock fans and rock stars: The Foo Fighters rank among the best of both.”—AV CLUB
“Their most balanced record yet… adds big-studio texture without diluting the band’s raw tumult… The highlight is ‘The Sky Is a Neighborhood,’ a hulking dream-metal anthem: ‘Trouble to the right and left,’ Grohl sings, driving into the darkness with a Bic lighter raised to the heavens.”—ROLLING STONE
“Easily the finest album of the Foo Fighters’ 20-plus year recording career, an artistic breakthrough that hopefully marks the start of an exciting new era in the band’s continued musical odyssey.”—POPMATTERSFoo Fighters’ ninth studio album Concrete and Gold has entered the Billboard 200 at #1, with sales of nearly 130,000 copies in the first week since its September 15 release on Roswell Records/RCA Records. The second FF album to hit #1 in the U.S.–the first being 2011’s Wasting Light—Concrete and Gold has also posted the band’s biggest ever first week numbers outside its home country. At press time, the album’s world domination included #1 debuts in a total of eleven countries: The U.S., the UK (the band’s fourth UK #1), Australia (its seventh Australian #1), New Zealand (its sixth #1 in New Zealand), Canada (the band’s third Canadian #1), Ireland (first FF #1 since 2002), Norway, Austria, Greece, Japan and the Netherlands—the latter three territories seeing their first #1 Foo Fighters record. Additionally, Concrete and Gold bowed at #2 in Germany, Sweden, Italy and Belgium, #3 in Finland, and #9 in France, marking the band’s first French top 10 debut.Additional #1 debuts are expected as international sales numbers are tallied throughout the coming week.Concrete and Gold’s arrival was most recently heralded by “The Sky Is A Neighborhood,” visually realized as a Grohl-directed kaleidoscopic sci-fi mini-epic as hypnotic as the slow burning stadium stomper that gave it life. The run-up to Concrete and Gold began just as auspiciously, with the June 1 surprise release of the Billboard Mainstream Rock #1 smash summer anthem of 2017, “Run.” With more than 2 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours, “Run” rocketed into the top 5 of the iTunes video chart and the top of the 15 iTunes singles chart—quickly amassing the highest first-day numbers of any single in the Foo Fighters’ career. And now finally 2017’s most massive and ambitious rock n roll opus is available to all as it sits atop the global charts.Concrete and Gold will naturally be supported with an extensive trek of the arena, stadium and festival stages of the world. The U.S. leg kicks off October 7 with the band’s Cal Jam 17 festival at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA: a non-stop 100% live 12-hour rock n roll extravaganza featuring Queens Of The Stone Age, Cage The Elephant, Liam Gallagher, The Kills, Royal Blood, Japandroids, Wolf Alice, Bob Mould, The Struts, Bully, Circa Waves, Babes in Toyland, Adia Victoria, Fireball Ministry, The Obsessed, Pinky Pinky, Starcrawler, White Reaper… as well as camping, carnival rides, a water park, attractions, a mobile recording studio & so much more. Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile Release New Single "Continental Breakfast"
COURTNEY BARNETT AND KURT VILERELEASE NEW SINGLE "CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST"
TAKEN FROM FORTHCOMING LP LOTTA SEA LICERELEASED OCTOBER 13TH ON MATADOR RECORDS WATCH VIDEO HERE
Photo Credit: Danny CohenBy now you would have heard that Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile, two of the most accomplished songwriters of their generation, are releasing a very special collaborative album, Lotta Sea Lice out October 13th - at once a peek behind the studio doors of two acclaimed artists and a celebration of their longstanding friendship.
After the runaway success of opening single "Over Everything," the video for their new single " Continental Breakfast " gently pushes the door open just a little bit further. Using intimate home footage shot over four days of Kurt and Courtney in their respective family environments surrounded by friends and relatives, "Continental Breakfast" goes beyond being a mere music video and becomes a mini documentary of sorts, capturing candid, honest moments that show the loving and playful nature of both musicians.
Director Danny Cohen says:'Continental Breakfast' was made while spending time with Courtney and Kurt in Melbourne and Philadelphia, it's an intimate home movie into their lives and the time spent with family and friends between recording /touring. Shot on 16mm, the mini-documentary captures honest moments that show the loving and playful nature of both Courtney and Kurt. It was such a treat to experience life with Courtney and Kurt in their natural habitats. It really left me feeling like part of the family and hopefully fans can feel that too.
It's just another layer to what is already promising to be one of the most compelling albums of the year.
Courtney and Kurt will be playing an in-store at Amoeba Hollywood (6400 Sunset Blvd.) on release eve, Thursday October 12 at 6:00pm. Fans can attend the in-store by picking up Lotta Sea Lice a day early at Amoeba Hollywood starting on Thursday October 12.

Diet Cig share video for "Maid In The Mist." New US tour dates announced!
DIET CIG
VIDEO FOR "MAID OF THE MIST" REVEALED
EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES CONTINUE THROUGH DECEMBER 2017
Diet Cig have again teamed up with director Emily Dubin, this time making a video for "Maid In The Mist," a track off their debut album Swear I'm Good At This (Frenchkiss Records) which was released earlier this year. DIY calls the video "amazing" and Dubin tells them, "My goal with the 'Maid of the Mist 'video was to take the stereotype of the 'emotional girl' and lean into it as hard as possible. Often times, women who exhibit any sort of emotional reaction to anything are labelled over-sensitive and are told to essentially 'get over it.' We're rarely given control, and when we do exercise control, we're labelled as domineering or a bitch.
The idea that a group of witches set up this whole ritual and do this extravagant spell just so they can make sure to kiss the boy they want during spin the bottle is meant to be a melodramatic reflection of the way men perceive women: always extra, always emotional, always plotting.
However, I think our fondness for and practice of emotional intelligence in a general sense is one of the strongest assets that women can have; what better way to embody power, sensitivity, emotion, and connection to the universe than a bad ass group of witches?"
Watch "Maid In The Mist" here:
Following a sold-out headlining show at New York City's Bowery Ballroom, Diet Cig are currently bringing their infectious and energetic show to Europe. They return state-side later this Fall for a string of dates that kick off November 10 in Durham, NH and conclude December 15 in Sayreville, NJ. All dates are listed below.

Diet Cig is Alex Luciano (guitar and vocals) and Noah Bowman (drums). Luciano recently took place in a round-table discussion hosted by The New York Times whose headline read, "Rock's Not Dead, It's Ruled by Women." The band were previouslyfeatured in the paper the week Swear I'm Good At This was released. Diet Cig have also found fans at NPR who invited the band in for a Tiny Desk Session . They played 3 tracks -- "Sixteen" and "Tummy Ache" off the LP and "Harvard." off 2015's EP, Over Easy.
Since the release of Swear I'm Good At This Diet Cig have been playing to packed rooms across the US and Canada almost nightly. The album has garnered world-wide critical acclaim and it showcases Diet Cig's tenacity for crafting life-affirming, relatable tales with a gutsy heart at their core. Luciano has the ability to write lyrics that are both vulnerable and badass, perfecting a storm of emotive reflection that creates a vision of a sweaty, pumped-up room screaming these lines in unison. Diet Cig make it okay to be the hot mess that you are. The LP was produced, engineered and mixed by Christopher Daly at Salvation Recording Co. in New Paltz, NY with additional recording at Atomic Sound in New York City.
To date the band has released the singles "Barf Day," Tummy Ache" and "Link In Bio."

Praise for Diet Cig
"Swear I'm Good At This all adds up to a snapshot of a young songwriter navigating through the yearning and boredom, ambition and insecurity that accumulates along the rocky path from adolescence to adulthood. The power of Diet Cig comes from the way Luciano and Bowman bolster these themes with affirming positivity in the form of delightful, explosive anthems."
NPR
"Fantastic Fuzz-Pop Debut" -- Rolling Stone -- 4 stars!
"The best pop-punk uses sweetness as a decoy for angst, and Alex Luciano, the frontwoman of Diet Cig, has a piercingly saccharine voice that veers toward extreme sadness as she deploys it." - NY Times
"The delightfully titled 'Barf Day' (embodies) what makes the pair's upcoming debut Swear I'm Good At This so enthralling: the featherweight garage grit, Luciano's subversive sincerity, and bandmate Noah Bowman's fist-pumping percussion...Against all odds, Diet Cig are coming of age on their own terms."" - StereogumVocalist Alex Luciano brings a lighthearted innocence to ('Tummy Ache') singing criticisms of the patriarchy in the most charming way." Nylon
"Swear I'm Good at This, (is) one of the most refreshingly fun albums of the year." Noisey
"Diet Cig's debut album driven by Alex Luciano, is one of the most effeminate, flippant, giggly and cute albums of the year - and that's part of what makes it so f*cking good." Uproxx
"loud, blunt, and totally fun." Under The Radar
"(Diet Cig) make pop-punk that's simultaneously adorable and fierce...You can expect sing-along jawns that sound just as good at a sweaty Diet Cig show as they do when you're alone in your bedroom" NY Daily News, "9 Albums Dropping in April You'd Be Foolish Not to Check Out"
"Swear I'm Good At This, is charismatic, balancing rage and rebellion with poppy lightness...Luciano breathes life and space into these traditionally closed-off feelings, and her twee pop voice will have listeners tapping their feet and leaning in for more." Bust
"Diet Cig's music is playful, upbeat and addictive." Paste

"infectious indie-rock perfection" NY Newsday
