Natasha Bedingfield Debuts New Song & Video "Hey Boy"
NATASHA BEDINGFIELD RELEASES NEW SONG & VIDEO "HEY BOY"
EMPOWERING NEW TRACK FOR THE SERVED LIKE A GIRL SOUNDTRACK DEBUTS VIA
HARPER'S BAZAAR
WATCH THE NEW "HEY BOY" VIDEO HERE LOS ANGELES, NOVEMBER 3, 2017 - Today the globally acclaimed and Grammy-nominated singer Natasha Bedingfield, known for hits like "Unwritten" and "Pocket Full of Sunshine," has released the empowering new single "Hey Boy" from the star-studded soundtrack for Served Like A Girl, a documentary by Lysa Heslov, which reveals the complexity of female veterans' lives and identities through a spectacle like no other, the Ms. Veteran America competition. On Thursday of this week, the brand-new music video for the track debuted on Harper's BAZAAR. The funkadelic video features an empowered Bedingfield challenging men in authority, with nods to Harvey Weinstein and President Trump. In early October, Bedingfield announced that she was pregnant with her first child and filmed this video later that month. The video for "Hey Boy" was directed by Kii Arens. "This song couldn't come at more pivotal time for me as an artist and as a woman about to bring a little baby boy into the world we are living in," shares Bedingfield. "I love my husband. I already love my son. I love my dad, my brothers and the many good men in my life, but it feels like our world is trying to figure out what being a 'real man' is about while too many men of power abuse their authoritative status. I wrote this song with the amazing Linda Perry, as a call for us all to bring our better selves to the table and challenge the more divisive male figures in today's stressful world." The single is only available for purchase along with the entirety of the soundtrack, which is available today, as a means of supporting the female veteran based charity Final Salute, for which all proceeds from the soundtrack will be attributed. The soundtrack will also be included in a CD/DVD bundle with the film, which will be released next week on Tuesday, November 7th. Along with "Hey Boy," the soundtrack includes a broad catalog of never-before-heard and inspiring songs from fellow talented female vocalists including Pat Benatar, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, P!nk, Natasha Bedingfield, LION, Lykke Li, Willa Amai, Dorothy, and more! Overcoats Share "I Don't Believe In Us" Video; Release Deluxe Version of 'YOUNG', On North American Tour Now
OVERCOATS RELEASE NEW SINGLE "I DON'T BELIEVE IN US"
AVAILABLE TODAY ON THE DELUXE VERSION OF YOUNG (ARTS & CRAFTS)
NORTH AMERICAN FALL TOUR
With the incredible response to their debut album
YOUNG
, Overcoats are releasing a special deluxe edition of the album out today on Arts & Crafts. The deluxe edition features a brand new single from the New York City based duo titled "I Don't Believe In US". NPRpremiered the video and called the new single "sparkling". Listen to "I Don't Believe In Us" and watch the video below.
Hana and JJ told NPR - "The song is about disillusionment. It's about realizing that a fairytale you've been believing your whole life is false. It's about figuring out what to do with that information -- how to move forward. We wrote the song in Paris in a tiny little apartment on a night off while on tour in the summer. We wrote it without any instruments, just 2 voices and us drumming with our hands on the desk. When we got back, we finished the track with Arthur Ashin, Joao Gonzalez, and Bram Inscore. This song is the final chapter of YOUNG, to end the journey that has taken us all over North America and Europe. It's a provocative look at all the transformation we've been through, all the difficult changes. We're excited to see what happens next...Do we believe?
We really wanted to have a hand in the creative for the video and had a strong vision for what it should look like. We wanted to play with the idea of fairy tales, of fantasy and love and surrealism. We knew we wanted a couple fighting, brightly colored smoke, and people to fall in a pool. We wrote up a treatment and brought it to Aaron Vasquez and Sinjun Strom, who co-directed it and were absolutely brilliant. We had help from so many talented friends. It was a joy to make together."

Despite the huge year, which included sold-out shows worldwide, their captivating Tiny Desk performance, and spots on NPR's Favorite New Artist 2017 Poll and Billboard'sBest Albums of 2017 So Far, Overcoats are not slowing down. They are playing a SOLD OUT show at Bowery Ballroom tonight and then continue their tour around the US next week. All dates are listed below.

Holly Miranda Shares "Exquisite (Feat. Kyp Malone)" Track On COS | New Album Out February 2018
Holly Miranda Shares "Exquisite (Feat. Kyp Malone)" Track
On Consequence Of Sound
New Album Out February 2018
Photo Credit: Jacqueline Di Milia LISTEN & SHARE: Holly Miranda - "Exquisite (Feat. Kyp Malone)""It’s a woozy blend of contemplative guitars a la ’90s Fiona Apple with the horns and production of Dear Science-era TVOTR, all pulled along by a determined yet trudging low end."
- Consequence Of SoundConsequence Of Sound has premiered the new single from Holly Miranda entitled "Exquisite" which features T.V. On The Radio's Kyp Malone. The site also did an Origins feature that explains Holly and Kyp's influence for the track. When talking about the song/Kyp Malone collaboration Holly says, “...we decided to write a song together, partly about our longtime friendship and conversations about taking inventory and responsibility for your mistakes and shortcomings.” Holly's new album is due out next winter.
“I’ve always been a proponent of not making the same record twice,” Holly Miranda says. “Some people find a niche and go with that, but I need to try something different every time.” That’s more than apparent on “Exquisite” first new material released by Miranda since 2015. More than just an artistic step forward, it’s a whole new way for her to make music. “This really is the most collaborative record I’ve ever done,” she says. “It’s first time I’ve shared so much of the writing and the production, the meat and bones of making an album.” This song finds Holly bridging the gap between 2010’s experimental synth laden release The Magician’s Private Library and her stripped-back, soulful self-titled record.
Miranda grew up between Detroit and Nashville, two music towns that would influence her own journey in a very profound way. She began playing piano at the age of six, taught her self-guitar at 14 and moved to New York at 16 to start her professional career. For nearly 20 years, she’s been performing, writing and producing with some of the best talent in the business. She has performed with the likes of Karen O, Lou Reed, The XX, and Lesley Gore. She released two records with her band The Jealous Girlfriends and has co-written and produced a mass of other projects. LINKS:

Summer Of '82 - When Zappa Came to Sicily
"Summer of '82 - When Zappa Came to Sicily"Coming to DVD and Digital Formats on December 8th
Zappa's '82 Italian tour comes to life with never-before-seen concert / backstage footage
Limited theatrical run starts in LA on November 5th
In the feature documentary,
Summer 82 - When Zappa Came to Sicily
, filmmaker and Zappa fan Salvo Cuccia tells the behind-the-scenes story of Frank Zappa's star-crossed concert in Palermo, Sicily, the wrap-up to a European tour that ended in public disturbances and police intervention. Cuccia had a ticket to the concert but never made it.
Thirty years later, collaborating with Zappa's family, he re-creates the events through a combination of rare concert and backstage footage; photographs; anecdotes from family, band members, and concertgoers; and insights from Zappa biographer and friend Massimo Bassoli. The story is also a personal one, as Cuccia interweaves the story of Zappa's trip to Sicily with his own memories from that summer.
The film looks at the rise and heyday of Frank Zappa's career as an innovative composer and libertarian provocateur, and includes tales of the relationship of a busy father with his children.
While in Sicily for the concert, Zappa visited Partinico, the birthplace of his father and grandfather; and in the film's warm and loving coda, three of Zappa's children, Dweezil, Moon Diva and his wife Gail, return to meet their relatives there for the first time.
A Blu-ray edition of the film, distributed by MVD Entertainment Group and produced by Eleonora Cordaro for Abra&Cadabra, will be released on December 8th (pre-order HERE). Bonus features include unpublished photos of Zappa behind the scenes.

Null + Void, the alias of prolific New York producer Kurt Uenala, has released his debut album Cryosleep , today via HFN Music. Throughout the record, Uenala matches his dynamic production with incredible vocalists—from Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan and the inimitable Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum, Sharin Foo of The Raveonettes to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and The Big Pink. Stream or download the album here.
Null + Void has also recently released the video for the album track “Where I Wait” featuring Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode. The mesmerizing video was directed by Timothy Saccenti (a long time video collaborator of Depeche Mode). Watch and share the videohere.
After working with a long list of major acts like The Kills and Moby and writing songs together with Dave Gahan for the latest two Depeche Mode albums the Swiss-born New Yorker Kurt Uenala emerges as a solo artist under the name Null + Void, with his debut longplayer Cryosleep. An album of contrasts and tension, where darkness is pierced by blinding light, and where moody new wave bleeds into stark electronics. In one moment, joyful memories give way to isolation and regret, and in the next, Cryosleep explores the catharsis of crowded dancefloors.
The title Cryosleep perfectly accentuates what Null + Void expresses throughout his first record. “It’s about the desire to keep loved ones alive beyond their lifespan,” he explains, alluding to the personal life experiences that color this music. “And if you tapped into that frozen person and scanned their last thoughts, their final farewell, this is what might come out.”
Cryosleep will be released on limited colored vinyl, CD and digital. Digital bonus tracks will be added to all formats via a download code.
