Moon Safari Live & Demos
(April 2nd, 2025) - At the end of the 20th century, Moon Safari catapulted Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel to the uppermost rung of electronic music’s ladder and left an indelible mark on pop culture with over 3 million albums sold. In 2024, Air celebrated the 25th anniversary of Moon Safari by reissuing the record in a Deluxe audio-video package and playing their legendary opus live in its entirety for the first time – 75 shows across the most prestigious venues of Europe, North America, Australia, Latin America and Asia sold out in no time.
Fresh from playing 4x sold-out shows at the Salle Pleyel in Paris just last week,
Air are announcing two special releases in anticipation of Record Store Day on April 12 - Blue Moon Safari (both on vinyl and DSPs) and Moon Safari Live & Demos (vinyl only) as well as further dates to their touring schedule due to exceptional demand – see below for full listing.
Vegyn revisits Air's Moon Safari from beginning to end on Blue Moon Safari. In a daring crossover of genres and eras, British producer and electronic artist Joe Thornalley, known as Vegyn, reimagines Air's iconic debut album Moon Safari. Vegyn came to prominence thanks to his work with the likes of Frank Ocean and Travis Scott and has made a name for himself as a forward-thinking producer who blends lush, atmospheric soundscapes with experimental beats and a sense of unpredictability. By remixing Moon Safari, Vegyn brings his unique vision to the French duo's beloved ambient-pop masterpiece, infusing it with new energy.
At the time of its release in 1998, Moon Safari was groundbreaking in its marriage of dreamy synths, groovy bass lines, and lush melodies, setting the tone for late '90s electronic music and influencing countless artists in the years that followed. Tracks like "Sexy Boy," "All I Need," and "La Femme d'Argent" became synonymous with the smooth, chilled-out vibe of the era. In Vegyn's hands, these tracks retain the essence of the originals while pushing into new territories. Vegyn’s remix approach is less about recreating the past than about evolving it. The result - Blue Moon Safari feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking, a reimagining that gives this timeless record a contemporary twist. Vegyn's Moon Safari rework is revealed in a new tracklist and takes shape on a colored blue vinyl, wrapped in a transparent blue sleeve.
Furthermore, the French duo is releasing a special Moon Safari Live & Demos vinyl edition of their debut album also slated for Record Store Day on April 12th. It will arrive as a white-colored vinyl including 10 unique rarities, demo versions and BBC live sessions.
Air’s boundary-pushing album has long been praised for its innovative sonics that have inspired countless musicians to think outside the box, so much so that their influence even transcended their own medium. The band's unique brand of downtempo electronic music not only sculpted the sound for the next generation of electronic-influenced pop music but was also able to withstand the test of time in its own right. Moon Safari is a mood you want to live inside of forever. It’s a revelation. And now it is available with additional rarities, demo versions, and live sessions plus an entire reimagining of the album from front to back by Vegyn.
Pre-save Blue Moon Safari (out digitally and via streaming April 11th) and stay tuned for more from the iconic French band.

THROBBING GRISTLE SHARE
“HAMBURGER LADY (LIVE)"
NEW YEAR’S EVE 2005
OUT 5/16/2025 ON MUTE

Ahead of the release of Throbbing Gristle’s Live at the Volksbühne Berlin, New Year’s Eve 2005 as a stand-alone vinyl, CD and digital release on Mute on May 16, 2025, you can watch the disquieting encore of that evening, one of their best-known tracks, “Hamburger Lady”.
Recorded at the Volksbühne in Berlin as part of a series of live events curated by the band, this rendition of “Hamburger Lady”, originally recorded for their 1978 album, DOA: The Third & Final Report, is accompanied by footage from the show.
Watch “Hamburger Lady (Live)’ HERE.
Recorded 20 years ago at the New Year’s Eve show at the Volksbühne, the 11-track live album was originally available on the recently sold out box set, TG Berlin. The live show featured five songs from Part Two: The Endless Not, the band’s first album in 27 years, several years before its release. The set, described by Uncut as “magisterial”, also included “Convincing People”, “Slug Bait”, and, of course, “Hamburger Lady”, tracks that had lost none of their potency in the intervening years.
In 2004, Throbbing Gristle, Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (1950-2020) and Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (1955-2010), regrouped and the following six years became a period of renewed creativity for the band. Back in the studio after 20 years, they found group intuition when performing was intact and their ability to break down barriers and forge connections with an audience was more powerful than ever.
TG Berlin and Live at the Volksbühne Berlin, New Year’s Eve 2005 are the latest releases in an ongoing collaboration with Mute, compelling documents of Throbbing Gristle performing and recording as a four-piece with a renewed vigour. From the opening beats and serrated electronics of one of their final tracks recorded together, “Scabs & Saws”, it’s clear that TG are not revisiting ground already tread, but bringing two decades of individual experience back into the studio to create a new exploration of sound. The vocals have a different depth, the groove is deeper, and the atmosphere has lost none of its potency.
Throbbing Gristle formed in 1975, and for the next six years they fully delivered on punk’s failed promise to explore extreme culture as a way of sabotaging systems of control. During that time, they released crucial records such as The Second Annual Report Of Throbbing Gristle (1977), D.O.A The Third And Final Report Of Throbbing Gristle (1978), and 20 Jazz Funk Greats (1979) and were infamously named “wreckers of civilisation” by the Conservative MP Nicholas Fairbairn in 1976.From 2004, they embarked on a series of live performances, including Coachella and Primavera festivals, Tate Modern, and Heaven, and returned to the studio to produce several albums including TG Now (2004), and Part Two: The Endless Not (2007), as well as a 3-day “studio installation” at the ICA before disbanding in 2010. Their impact on music, culture and the arts has been immeasurable, and is still felt today across music, film, theatre, and fine art.
Throbbing Gristle:
Chris Carter: Rhythms, Loops, Synth
Cosey Fanni Tutti: Guitar, Cornet, Melodica, Sampler
Genesis P-Orridge: Vocals, Violin, Bass
Peter Christopherson: Sampler, Persephone keyboard
Live at the Volksbühne Berlin, New Year’s Eve 2005 will be released on Mute on May 16, 2025. Pre-order HERE.

Today, All Things Go Festival 2025 announces its 11th edition with an exciting expansion to a three-day event. Set for Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28, the festival returns to its iconic venues: Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and Forest Hills Stadium in New York. The festival has come a long way from its humble beginnings with 2014’s Fall Classic at Union Market in Washington, D.C., more than doubling in size year-over-year since 2018 to accommodate more artists, more fans, and more music.
The lineup announcements for ATG 2025 are right around the corner, and tickets will be available at https://allthingsgofestival.com
In 2023, the festival expanded to two days for the first time, with Lana Del Rey, Maggie Rogers, boygenius, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more. It sold out immediately, with fans from more than half the states in the U.S. and multiple countries attending, highlighting the festival's growing international appeal and reputation. Last year’s headlining artists Janelle Monáe, Hozier, Laufey, Reneé Rapp, MUNA, Ethel Cain, and Julien Baker were joined by a slew of heavy-hitters and emerging talent, presenting the biggest lineup to date at Merriweather Post Pavilion, with 36 artists across two days and multiple stages.
Newcomers, especially, always get a warm welcome from the avid, curious, and dedicated ATG audience. All Things Go fosters a strong sense of community among attendees, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for music lovers to come together and celebrate their shared passion. Some artists and fans have given ATG loving and cheeky nicknames, including “Gay-chella”, “All Things Gay” and “Lesbopalooza.” The upcoming year’s festival is set to be its biggest yet.

ABOUT MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION:
Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Miles Davis, Janis Joplin, Dolly Parton, and the Grateful Dead played here! One of the few independently operated outdoor venues in the nation, Merriweather Post Pavilion is one of the world’s most beautiful and storied amphitheaters. Nestled in 40 acres of forest between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore and designed by the legendary architect Frank Gehry - best known for defying architectural conventions - the natural outdoor setting can’t be matched. Rolling Stone, Billboard, Pollstar and USA TODAY all named Merriweather in the Top Three Outdoor Music Venues in the nation, while the fantastic sound system and large video screens make this amphitheater a favorite for bands and fans alike. Recent enhancements include new concession stands, an enormous kitchen that prepares the most delectable cuisines from all over the world, the tripling of restroom facilities, a Music Pinball Arcade, a brand new 50,000 square-foot backstage (with swimming pool!), an expanded stage and elevated stagehouse, new SkyBoxes beneath a first-of-its-kind SkyLawn©, an historic sculpture garden honoring Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Jimi Hendrix, Tina Turner, Robert Plant, and Miles Davis by French anamorphic artist Bernard Pras, and the addition of The Chrysalis - an already iconic bandshell in Symphony Woods, built to host its own shows as well as accommodate Merriweather’s festivals. Directions, transportation, and other information is available here: http://www.merriweathermusic.com
ABOUT FOREST HILLS STADIUM:
Forest Hills Stadium first cemented its place in the canon of iconic American venues during the second half of the 20th century when, as the home of the U.S. Open, it hosted some of the most important tennis matches of its time. Beyond sports, the Romanesque stadium and its enviable acoustics also became known as a must-play for musical acts at the height of their fame, hosting some of the most notable concerts of the 60’s and 70’s, including The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Dylan. On the film screen, the venue’s gorgeous grounds have played an important backdrop to films and television as varied as Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train and Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tannenbaums. However, when the U.S. Open moved to a larger space in Flushing, Queens in 1977, the architecturally stunning, horseshoe-shaped stadium fell into disrepair, and its days as a venue faded. In 2013, Madison House Presents partnered with the West Side Tennis Club to rehabilitate the stadium and bring events back to this storied venue.

Los Angeles harmonic trio Trousdale today surprise fans with one more single ahead of their new album with the downtempo and stirring “Secondhand Smoke.” With the release of Growing Pains just days away (April 11) the group decided to showcase the depths of how rousing their singing can be when they come together over a lightly strummed guitar and fan the flames to the heights of emotion — Stream.
“‘Secondhand Smoke’ is a song that dives into the emotional weight of being in an abusive relationship and the devastating push-and-pull it creates,” shared Quinn D’Andrea. “For us, this song is about loving someone who is battling their own destructive traits—traits that are slowly harming not just them, but also you.”
“The metaphor of secondhand smoke reflects how their pain and actions seep into your life, leaving you as collateral damage. It’s a song about wrestling with the impossible decision to leave someone you love in order to save yourself, even though it feels like abandonment. Ultimately, it’s about facing the hard truth that you can’t save someone who won’t save themselves—and the courage it takes to walk away from the fire before it consumes you both.”
Trousdale’s upcoming second LP was primarily recorded live in the room and co-produced by the band and John Mark Nelson, with co-writing talent lent to them from Mags Duval and Lawrence Rothman. The trio utilized a live rhythm section on this record, resulting in a more cohesive and tighter sound than they’ve ever had before. As good as Trousdale sounds when they lean into their gold-hued pop, the group work their country flair into the material more masterfully than ever before. Across 12 remarkable and relatable tracks, Growing Pains points a finger at the weight of life and offers a light at the end of the tunnel.

Beginning in a few short weeks, Trousdale will set out on their headline tour of both North America and Europe. And beginning in September, Trousdale will once again join their friends in Lake Street Dive for six East Coast shows. See all tour dates here and below.

ABOUT TROUSDALE:
For Trousdale—the trio of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones—the ache of growing through change, of facing down existential anxiety, and matters of the heart are all intimately familiar. “We can acknowledge the strides we’ve made and be grateful, but we’ve talked a lot about how tired we are,” Jones says with a laugh. “We’ve been thinking a lot about the tension that comes with change, wanting it, fighting it, embracing it, but learning to thrive in that moment.” On Trousdale’s upcoming LP, Growing Pains (due April 11th), the band works through those struggles to find strength, courage, and growth in each other. “From what was, something new can always grow,” D’Andrea says.
The album was recorded largely live in the room and co-produced by the band and John Mark Nelson, a songwriter who has also co-written and produced songs for Suki Waterhouse and Shaboozey, as well as engineered tracks for the likes of Taylor Swift and Mitski. While working with co-writers like Mags Duval and Adam Yaron expanded the band’s purview, the trio credit John Mark Nelson as a particularly powerful guide. “He’s always thinking about the big picture and staying out of the weeds,” Jones laughs. “We used to live in the weeds. But John Mark helped us focus on the album as a whole.”
Trousdale’s debut album, 2023’s Out of My Mind, earned raves from the likes of the Boston Globe, Consequence, and Atwood Magazine for its powerful songwriting, immaculate harmonies, and ability to bridge gaps between country and indie pop. On Growing Pains, the three songwriters evolved their style, writing rough ideas on their own, then refining and finishing them in the room together. “We’re all adding to each other’s ideas, drawing from personal experiences and then expanding them into something more people can connect with,” D’Andrea explains.
As good as Trousdale sounds when they lean into their gold-hued pop, the group work their country flair into the material more masterfully than ever before. Across 12 remarkable tracks, Growing Pains stares down all the weight of its title, a trio of strong, independent women facing the threats of loneliness, broken hearts, loss, and more, and converting it into transformative, uplifting music. “It's a reminder that even in the coldest moments, renewal is always possible,” D’Andrea explains.

After almost a decade away, Anglo-Australian indiepop quartet Allo Darlin’ are back with their first new music since 2016’s farewell 7” single "Hymn On The 45," and they've also announced a UK tour this October (details below).
New single "Tricky Questions" exhibits Elizabeth's adept skill at taking specific experiences and creating something timeless and universally resonant, and recalls living in Florence having left London:
“There’s a piazza, Piazza della Signoria, not far from where I used to live, where the Palazzo Vecchio is. You used to be able to go and walk right up to the sculptures in the Loggia, but I think now they are roped off and a guard watches over them. The city was full of tourists during the day, but after 9pm, they would all go back to their hotels. That’s when the city came alive to me, and it felt like it was just for us.
"I was really thinking about that place when I wrote this song. I wanted to go back there and soak it all up again. Writing about it helped me feel like I was back there, in a place that is timeless. But of course, more than being about a specific place, this song is really about a relationship and how it makes me feel.”
Allo Darlin' - "Tricky Questions"
Listen: http://li.sten.to/allo-darlin-tricky-questions
Lyric video: https://youtu.be/5AS7FlXy7lo
"Tricky Questions" was the first song Elizabeth wrote for a reformed Allo Darlin’, in the early months of the pandemic. Indeed, it was the pandemic that brought the band back together, while stuck in their isolation in Norway, England and Australia. Missing each other and the music they made together, Allo Darlin’ started having group Zoom calls, and decided that when the pandemic was over, they would become a band again. In early 2023, the band announced that they would play a couple of shows in October of that year in the UK, and the fan response was truly overwhelming.
Tickets sold out in minutes, with fans traveling from all over the world, and the band had to upgrade their London show to a venue twice the size of the original. It seemed like their fans had missed Allo Darlin’ as much as they had missed each other.
Bio:
Allo Darlin' were formed in 2008 after Australian Elizabeth Morris arrived in London and bought a ukulele from the Duke of Uke shop in Shoreditch. Like a whole host of Australian musicians before her, Morris had headed to London to realize her musical ambitions, a young woman with a small instrument in the big city with even bigger ideas. Once there, happenstance, chance encounters and a Bruce Springsteen cover for a compilation would all conspire to create the crack squad that has endured, Morris being joined by fellow Brisbanite Bill Botting and the British duo of Michael Collins and Paul Rains.
From its first line (“Will you go out with me tonight, lose it on a disco floor?”), their self-titled debut released in 2010 fizzed with the effervescent, intoxicating energy and excitement of the opportunities and experiences it offered. From frosty night buses through to fiscal inadequacy and everything in between, it was an album which presented the city as a blank canvas where everything was fair game for romanticising and celebrating, and a world where most of life's tribulations could be solved with the warm embrace of a loved one. Fresh, bright and unashamedly hopeful and idealistic, blissful exuberance ran through it like the sound of a band in love with being in a band.
Writing in his 1200 word essay on the album for Australia's The Monthly (later featuring in his writing compilation Ten Rules Of Rock And Roll), former Go-between Robert Forster suggested that the band “now have doors open before them." Thus follow-up Europe could be viewed as the album The Go-Betweens dared them to make, culminating in the sparkling pop perfection (and throwback to Morris' native Queensland) of lead single "Capricornia." Their sophomore effort simultaneously looked at the Europe of her present alongside the Australia of her past, offering a stunning reflection on belonging and sense of place and a band at their most dazzlingly technicolor that built on the eagerness and immediacy of the debut with contemplation, sophistication and ambition.
Successor, 2014’s We Come From The Same Place dwelt on belonging in terms of new beginnings and documented Morris' journey into a new chapter in her life, resulting in an album that saw her flit between the uncertainty of starting anew and post-resettlement confidence.
Allo Darlin's songs work because, to borrow from Don Draper's Kodak Carousel pitch in Mad Men, they take us to a place where we feel loved. Emotional trust falls, they often take us to parts of ourselves we've either suppressed or have yet to discover and then are always there to catch us if and when we get there.
Praise for Allo Darlin':
"Breezy rom-pop brilliance." 8/10, -NME
"Classic indie pop... doesn't rewrite the formula for wistful bedsit charm as much as show that it can still be carried out masterfully." -Pitchfork
"A masterclass of modern cult pop." -The Guardian
"Terrific, witty and heartfelt, like a less moody Belle & Sebastian." -The New York Times

Singer-songwriter/producer/performer/provocateur Boyfriend is excited to release the next single, “BITE,” from In The Garden, a new concept album reimagining the biblical story of Adam and Eve through a feminist and queer lens. "BITE” is a mostly instrumental electronic track with pulsing, snapping synths and rushes of acoustic guitar. The track is available on all streaming services now.
“‘BITE’ is the catastrophe (in modern terms, climax) itself, the culmination of the building action, where Eve finally crosses the boundary she’s been pushing against from the start and takes the bite,” Boyfriend explains. “The song opens with Eve asking questions – as she is the desire for knowledge personified – and these questions lay out the paradox of this origin story.
“The song is mostly instrumental, allowing the listener to envision the action unfolding and giving contemplative space to an otherwise very lyric-dependent project here at the crucial moment of action. If Eve embodies curiosity, and this project aims to recast her as the hero and curiosity as a virtue rather than a failing, then the project itself seeks to not only offer questions, but space for questioning. This instrumental moment in the album has purposeful sonic scene changes, including lyrics from the other characters in rhythmic overlapping samples.”

A fusion of music, theater, and social commentary, the ambitious In the Garden – which blends bold storytelling and an all-star cast of collaborators including Scissor Sisters’ frontman Jake Shears, Billy Porter, Peaches, and Big Freedia – arrives Friday, May 9 via Big Freedia’s Queen Diva Music (distributed by The Orchard). Pre-saves are available now. Out today is “BITE,” an electro-pop soundtrack for the most famous bite taken in history.

It was heralded earlier in the year with the single, “CURIOUS,” and then followed by “FIGHT (Feat. Jake Shears),” which sees Jake Shears – the iconic Scissor Sisters co-founder and Broadway/West End star (Kinky Boots, Cabaret) – bringing a spectacular theatricality to the role of Adam, here portrayed not as the first human but rather the brash foil to the saga’s leading lady, Eve (performed by Boyfriend).

With In The Garden, Boyfriend does not merely retell the story of Adam and Eve – she rewrites it entirely. At its core, the project is a feminist reclamation of the Genesis narrative, with Eve now presented as the central protagonist embodying intellectual curiosity, autonomy, and rebellion. In Boyfriend’s retelling, Adam is blissfully content with the status quo, unquestioning of the structures imposed upon him, while The Serpent (voiced by Peaches) does not coerce or deceive but simply inquires, asking Eve questions that resonate with anyone who has ever sought to challenge oppressive structures. Meanwhile, God – portrayed by Big Freedia – is a braggadocious, hot-tempered, and highly entertaining diva. In The Garden is thus a direct confrontation to the foundational notion that women’s pursuit of knowledge is dangerous, a challenge that remains deeply relevant in contemporary conversation.
Beyond its feminist critique, In The Garden is also a deeply queer project, both in its casting and in its thematic subversions. Traditional religious doctrine has often framed queerness as antithetical to divine creation, but Boyfriend’s retelling reclaims Eden as an inherently queer space. The flamboyance and performativity of Jake Shears’ Adam, the gender-subversive power of Peaches’ Serpent, the radical swag of Big Freedia’s God, and the omniscient authority of Billy Porter’s narration all serve to undermine the heteronormative assumptions embedded in the biblical text. Rather than existing as a site of rigid binaries – man and woman, good and evil, obedience and rebellion – Boyfriend’s Eden is fluid, dynamic, and expansive.
Executive produced by composer/producer Alex Krispin (best known for his near-decade-long creative partnership with Daniel Lanois), In The Garden is just as sonically subversive as its narrative. Described by Boyfriend as “show tunes disguised as songs for New Music Friday,” the album balances its experimental storytelling with an alternative pop accessibility thanks to an award-winning production team that includes Asa Taccone (Portugal. The Man, Electric Guest, The Lonely Island, Carly Rae Jepsen), Little Shalimar (Run the Jewels, Killer Mike), film composer Joseph Shirley (Creed II, Trolls, The Mandalorian), and Gold Glove (Slayyyter, Big Freedia).
Long hailed for her riotously cheeky live show, Boyfriend will bring In The Garden to life onstage alongside a cast of background singers and performers who will embody the characters while the recorded voices of the featured artists remain. The show will premiere on April 26 at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans and more US dates will be announced soon, including an album release party at Joe’s Pub in New York City on May 6.
In The Garden highlights the remarkable breadth of Boyfriend’s ambition and ingenuity, taking her from underground festival darling to the creator of a full-fledged theatrical production. Her previous work has always been steeped in a spirit of playful rebellion, using burlesque, drag, experimental pop, and theatrical performance to challenge societal norms. In The Garden now represents the culmination of this ethos. In doing so, Boyfriend challenges the structures that have long upheld patriarchal and heteronormative ideals, offering a new Edenic vision that centers on curiosity, agency, and rebellion.
Boyfriend has earned international applause for her provocative musical artistry, powered by complex lyricism, extravagant theatricality, and radical social commentary tackling gender roles, sexism, body positivity, the patriarchy, and more. Since making her debut as Boyfriend in 2012, the multi-talented New Orleans-based artist has unleashed a long series of singles and EPs while also staking a claim as an in-demand songwriter and producer with credits spanning Charli XCX, Troy Sivan, Mykki Blanco, Mala Rodriguez, Pom Pom Squad, Cimafunk, The Revivalists, and Rebecca Black, placements with ABC, Comedy Central, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, and Starz, including major motion pictures Space Jam: A New Legacy and Office Christmas Party and spots for Amazon, Apple,, Red Bull, and Walmart to name a few..
Throughout her career, Boyfriend has prioritized collaboration as a means of artistic and political resistance. She has worked with a wide range of artists who, like her, exist outside of mainstream binaries – including such iconic figures as Pussy Riot, Cindy Wilson (The B-52s), Amanda Lepore, and her longtime musical associate Big Freedia. Most of all, Boyfriend has proven a truly inimitable live act via her fabulously over-the-top stage productions, which Rolling Stone named in the top 5 shows at Outside Lands and saw her heavily featured in the Grammy-award winning Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story. Boyfriend also appeared in Bonnaroo’s annual SuperJam alongside Jon Batiste, Chance the Rapper, Margo Price, and others.
In The Garden is not Boyfriend’s first entry into musical theater. In 2018, she interpolated Rodger and Hammerstein’s “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair” with her song “Wash That,” which premiered on Playbill and was performed alongside Tony Winner Laura Osnes at Broadway Conference. Additionally, Boyfriend created Hag., a three-act semi-scripted and interactive musical that ran for 4 consecutive years at Preservation Hall and featured the award-winning burlesque/drag duo of Kitten & Lou.
2022 saw the release of Boyfriend’s debut album, Sugar & Spice, which saw her joined by an array of diverse musical partners including among others T-Pop star Pyra, Pussy Riot, Von, and Los Angeles-based psych outfit Death Valley Girls. Over the years, Boyfriend has garnered critical applause from high-profile media outlets such as NPR, Rolling Stone, The FADER, Billboard, Playbill, Vice, NYLON, Consequence, PopMatters, The Huffington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Playboy, EARMILK, Dazed, and many more.
Now, with In The Garden, Boyfriend has taken her boundary-pushing, one-of-a-kind approach to all new heights of inspiration and cultural significance, the culmination of a lifelong vision that continues to avoid categorization while creating connections across generations and genres.

(April 2nd, 2025) - Fresh off unveiling her forthcoming debut album and sharing the lead single, Annahstasia announces her North American tour. Throughout the month of June, Annahstasia will bring her enthralling live presence to shows across the continent beginning in New Orleans on June 4th and concluding with a hometown show in LA on June 28th. Annahstasia’s Spotify Fans First presale tickets go on sale on Thursday, April 3rd. General on-sale for Annahstasia’s tour begins Friday, April 4th. Tickets will be available at Annahstasia.com.
Annahstasia’s debut album Tether, which will be released June 13th via drink sum wtr, and includes featured guests Obongjayar and the Grammy-nominated aja monet. As a first taste of the album, she shared lead single “Villain,” which was accompanied by a stunning music video conceived by Annahstasia and directed by Adam Davis.
Annahstasia assembled the pieces of Tether slowly and with deep intention, letting the early iterations of each song germinate in the world and find their true meaning before they were cemented on the album. "The song is written, and then I have to live with it and see if I really believe what I'm saying," she explains. The recording was instinctual, done only in live takes to capture the feeling of the room and the community surrounding the music. Recorded at the storied Valentine Studios in Los Angeles, Annahstasia was joined by producers Jason Lader (ANOHNI and the Johnsons, Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey), Andrew Lappin (Cassandra Jenkins, L'Rain, Luna Li), Aaron Liao (Liv.e, Moses Sumney, Raveena).
Tether examines the aftermath of the “romantic war” she incited with her prelude EP, Surface Tension, ruminating on her own evolving relationship to love across the breadth of the album. Her vocals are bare and boldly up-front on each track, exploring the power of her voice and its ability to direct the listener on an emotional journey with newfound latitude, as an expansive palette of instruments color the spaces in between.
Find album details and the full North American tour routing below and stay tuned for more from Annahstasia coming soon.
