This is a tough one. So far, there are so many names of ancient scholars that I can't keep them all straight. I was hoping it would be more about Bruno himself. I'll keep going and see, although I'm only able to read 1-2 chapters per day on this one.

My favorite quote so far: "Everyone is the Guru."

This is mostly a how-to book. It's very tedious, although I love Yin yoga. Not going to finish this any time soon.

This is a textbook for my yoga certification training. It’s known as the Bible of Yoga.

Slow and steady here. Lots of information and it's not a page-turner, unless you are an astrophysicist

Very, very difficult. I have to read each sentence numerous times, and then I'm only understanding about half of what I read. I can only do about 10 pages a day here. It hurts my brain.

Wow. Everyone over 40 or in the health field needs to read this book.

I've read this before, and am reading it again for book club. Absolutely stellar.

Very well done, but slow going!

The first 26 pages of this were off-putting, condescending and cliched. Then, it switches perspective and showcases Franzen's special talent of the most in-depth character development of any author I've read. This story seems at times scarily realistic.

The strength of these people is a wonder. She was also a political genius. I'm loving this well-written bio.

This book is fantastic. It was hard at first to keep the names straight, but the story is so juicy and well told that it doesn't matter. This excellent writer makes is fun to learn about historical figures.
