It's hard to read with all that water coming out of my eyes.

I just read the most beautiful account of a young wife experiencing her husband's love-making for the first time. A lovely passage.

Very funny, with, as the first book also had, several passages I had to stop my coworkers and read to them.

I'm in love.

I frequently forget how moving and beautiful "literary fiction" can be.

She lays in hard and pulls no punches. I really like her.

There is something on almost every page that I want to write into my commonplace book.

I wish for a bit more depth from time to time, but all-in-all this book is just what I want.

Definitely happy I continued on to book 2 of the trilogy. It continues to amaze me. Rølvaag manages never to be trite, and frequently to be surprising.

It's fun. Silly but not too cheesy. I'm enjoying it.

I am loving this more than I can say.
