GOD getting updates from me must be a hot mess lol. I'm trying out this Thing where instead of forcing myself to stay on target with one book, I'm letting my attention wander and whatever I read, I read. Trying to figure out if I read more if I discipline myself about it or if I allow for a free-for-all.

This book? Really good so far! I can sense a loving review coming out of me later lol

will i be buying the whole series eventually because i love the type of story this series is or because i'm in love with patrick arrasmith's art and want to study it? your honor, no comment.

I've said it once elsewhere, I'll say it again here: butches sound like puppies that have been kicked in the head and femmes sound like they'll start blowing things up if you don't pay attention to them when they want you to. Why are butches so depressed?? Femmes have so much *joy* and tenacity and its seeming to be a trend. Wtf. I'm not miffed but I *am* confused, particularly about the butch brain now

I forgot that a fundamental error in the feminist movement of the 70s is the bit where in trying to correct misogyny, they swung so hard they started taking any concept they associated with men (in this case dominance in bed) and decided it was Evil without exception, or a sign that you were out of touch with your femininity or were too masculine or whatever. Yuck! Less thinking women are holy please.

Alright our first garbage essay in the anthology, but it took about 200 pages to get here so that's good. (It was an attempt to explain how butch and femme aren't replicating heteros but somehow in effort to not seem short and narrow minded, the author succeeded at being both about gender and relationships ... just in a very roundabout way. Alas.)
