Okay now I’m just mad

The concept of this is fascinating and I like learning about different writers' process, but the "encouraging" tidbits you can learn from each author are kind of repetitive after like three. They are human and struggle with the writing process, we get it.

I am rolling my eyes so hard but if I just focus on this book being fun and not serious or like a life changing piece of literature it’s not bad

Rereading before I read book three

I forgot there were dragons in this series. The cover for book three makes more sense now 🤣

Are you for real? I didn’t see this coming but that’s because it doesn’t make sense. Shocking plot twists are not good if they don’t make sense and have no build up at all.

The first mention of a “secret library” (as in where the library hides library) is mentioned on page 293. What even.

Wow. I am not at all surprise. This is way too predictable.

Wow. The first mention of the Great Library of Alexandria is mentioned on *checks page number* page 257. 257 out of 388 pages!!! And they haven’t even put two and two together. (Whereas I saw the map of Alexandria at the front of the boon and realized what the title meant despite that there was no connection to this in book one at all.)

Okay but if she kept the scarf how did her mother ever make the artifacts normal size again?

Rereading to refresh my memory before book three comes out!

These plot twists jsut don’t stop coming

okay this is getting better. It's very much dark academia with dragons but I want more dragons. And less of the protagonist being miserable about her past choices.

I wish this boom had some kind of glossary or guide for the dragons and whatnot because I cannot keep track of this worldbuilding.

I think this book would be more believable if the MC was a little older. I know there can be mature 15 year olds but it just seems crazy that she's running around the world without any guardian.

Okay but why is Kayla so good at writing food descriptions? I want to eat all of the food mentioned in this book!

“It’s, like, ninety percent staring off into space, two percent snacks, and eight percent actual thing.”

This doesn't become less intense just because you know what's really going on and going to happen

This is not at all what I expected and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. The narrator is great though.
