we are simply bored. 136 pages of elaborating the synopsis? i did not need that

p90- end of part 1-
i am disappointed in myself that i came here looking for characterization. why am I shocked, it’s VE Schwab after all

I wasn’t sure how I’m going to like this book. One, I never obsess over books with male protagonists, two - I never cared much for Mavericks backstory.
So far so good, real fun. Only thing though, it’s a bit slow and repetitive so far. Hoping it’ll pick up soon 🤞🏼

Beginning was rough, it’s getting better as the story picks up and much of the world building is complete. It’s such a weird concept and took me a bit to get used to. I’m not impressed yet :(

This book is most definitely not boring but taking me forever to get through 😩
