God Im not even halfway through but I could tell nearly from the first page that this is likely to be a 5★ book! This is fantastic so far. Greathouse is such a wonderful author

i like this book despite the incontrovertible fact that it is stupid inane bullshit.

This book is sooo good. I'm.having a great time with it. Honestly my biggest problem with this book is that it didn't start with the first Enet chapter. That chapter could have been moved to the start with no problem and that chapter is excellent and really enticing. If it was moved then I wouldn't have spent the first two hours barely caring about this book.

Okay I'm pretty far into this sequel and honestly, NOTHING has happened... And the book is very disjointed and confusing. I'm told it gets better at half way so hopefully that's true

This is really good so far! It's shaping up to be a 5★ book which is insane because I'm on a serious roll right now. I read 3 5★ books last week, I'm in the middle of likely 2 more and I have 2 books after that that might also be 5★.
My one criticism is this series seems a little less developed that the first trilogy. Things feel like they're moving a little too quickly without much setup. But still a great book.

This is SUUUCH a fantastic Space Opera. I'm so glad I happened to start book one the day book 2 came out. The fact these books have got me to binge them back to back in less than 48hrs is high endorsement. After finishing Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler I thought I'd be in a book hangover but luckily I found such a compelling follow up series that July is definitely my best reading month on 2020 so far! Read this!

I just finished the prologue and literally what the fuck is going on? Nothing makes sense and I kind of hate the writing style actually being narrated out loud to me. Might have to actually get the physical book to get through this style. At least the narrator is Robin Miles. I love her.

Hopefully this improves with the next few chapters and I start to not hate this main character

I LOVED the first trilogy & book 1 in this series. From there its gone downhill a lot. I started this book 2yrs ago & have been trying to get into it since. I think my issue is that there's a lot of telling instead of showing. It feels like the narration is from you bird's eye view, very divorced from the actual events happening in front of us. The narration just tells us if these events with a very textbook feeling

Honestly Ive been curious about this book so many times but always ended up feeling very resistant towards it for some reason. I decided to read the audible reviews and everybody was like "it sounds stupid but just read it" and I finally broke down and got it. I'm chagrined to say... I think I'm sold. It's honestly really enjoyable. Is it epic, grimdark or poignant? No. It's a fun light hearted underdog story I love

I'm really loving this so far! And even though I don't like what's happening with Vlora as a character, I'm enjoying the story and especially her attack just now.

Holy crap you guys, this book is SOOOO good. Plus Im sure it's better if you've read them all. I read the first and then was told I could read the rest in any order and this premise appealed to me the most. Can't wait to tackle to other two. This book is fantastic and I'm engrossed beyond belief. Gonna be one of my favs of 2019 I think

Book one ended on kind of a cliffhanger but at the end of this 700pg book of exposition and backstory we haven't gotten any further info the story from book one

Omg I'm so annoyed. Lol I might film a little rant. One of my most anticipated books came out and I'm halfway through it and literally the entire plot has just been on pause. Everyone is chilling in a tavern telling stories and I thought this would be over with but I literally skipped the the very end and theyre all still sitting in a bar on the same day the book started on. This is so stupid :(

What the hell is going on with these extradimensional immortal beings? This subplot is kinda losing me plus it feels like this subplot might actually be the REAL plot all along that the series culminates with. Along with that, considering this is the conclusion I thought the plot would be moving along a little quicker. On the whole though I'm definitely enjoying it and I'm sure this will end up being at least a 4.5★

I think I'm gonna pause this book for a while. In fact, it's been on pause for a week or two now honestly. I thought I enjoyed this series but the more I think about book one the more I want to lower my rating of it. Book two feels like more of the same. I enjoyed it enough when I couldn't find anything else to pick up but then some compelling books came out and I jumped ship from Jade to better stories. It's sad. :(

I'm really not enjoying this at all so far. This is just like how the sequel to The Tigers Daughter was something that I was really anticipating but ended up being a masssive disappointment. I really hope this gets better :(

I'm worried guys. So far this feels like a significant step down from the previous book. I saw someone named Kathy reviewed it below and I think that her review confirms that the book ends up going the way I've been anticipating for the last hour of listening. Hopefully I'm wrong but I have a feeling I'm going to be in complete agreement with her. I'm heartbroken because book one was 4 or 4.5★ for me iirc. Shame ug

Uhhh so I'm almost halfway through the book and I feel like almost nothing has happened. It's taken them like half the book to burn her body and then for Laszlo and Serrai to fuck. I'm really reallllly enjoying it honestly but still, nothing has happened.

I'm about halfway thru & enjoying it more than I expected to. I didn't like that the crew split up at first but now I'm into it :)

I adore this entire series. It's really drawn out and could move a lot faster if the author tried, and yet I love it anyway. I'm usually impatient when it comes to stories like this. I strongly recommend reading this.
