I LOVED the first trilogy & book 1 in this series. From there its gone downhill a lot. I started this book 2yrs ago & have been trying to get into it since. I think my issue is that there's a lot of telling instead of showing. It feels like the narration is from you bird's eye view, very divorced from the actual events happening in front of us.
