Okay, I lied. THIS will be the last book I start before I finish all the ones I’m currently reading.

Brb forcing myself to finish the books I’ve been reading for years before starting new ones.

Based on the Austen formula, Caroline Bingley is going to take a liking to Mr Hayward and marry him and Mary will be heartbroken and then run into John Sparrow. She’ll remember how well he treated her and how good her aunt and uncle’s marriage is and marry him. Just a guess but it’s a good one.

I’m absolutely cackling, how is this so funny?

A long-anticipated buddy read with Hui!

This is my favourite Shakespeare play - from having watched it - and yet I have never read it??? Since I’m going to watch “Anyone But You” (a rom-com based on MAAN) tomorrow with my best friends, now seems like the right time to actually read the text.

I'm simply not that into this book

This is so good.

I’m two pages in (two of the numbered pages and titles etc.) and I’m already floored. Irene thinks of Clare as a “pale small girl”. Natural grammatical structuring in English always prioritises size over colour. This is a conscious choice to emphasis on the second page how vital Clare’s light skin is to her character and the narrative itself! I’m hooked.

I knew Angel was awful the moment he was introduced. I hate this man.
