The story has been a slog for sometime now, nothing much of consequence happening. This part is the most cliched part of the story too.

I don't know about the entire series, whether Vin is the main protagonist in all the books, but the narration follows her so much while she does nothing that I'm tired of her character right now. :/

Fast paced! It's quite refreshing to read a book one of the main protagonist is just, you know, is. There is no long emotional/existential setup for Kelsier's character, something we don't usually see in fantasy books. But Vin's character gets the traditional character treatment/setup and her character is quite interesting!

I want to see more of Allomancy!!! I'm loving it so far!

I'm pretty late to all the Brandon Sanderson hype going on around the world in the last few years. I've been putting it off waiting for the 'right time' to read his Cosmere Universe books. I've read his sci-fi novella 'Snapshot', it blew my mind frankly. Hopefully, this book does the same.

1 ticket to the Cosmere Hype Train, please!

Malcolm is killing it right now.

"Other animals fight for territory or food; but, uniquely in the animal kingdom, human beings fight for their 'beliefs.' Our behavior may well lead us to extinction. We are stubborn, self-destructive conformists. Any other view of our species is just a self-congratulatory delusion. Next question."

What they had in common was a belief that the complexity of the world concealed an underlying order which had previously eluded science, and which would be revealed by chaos theory, now known as complexity theory.

Much better storytelling than in the first book! This should have definitely not been 2 books from the start. Anyway, I'm enjoying this thoroughly.

One aspect I'm still not able to look past is the unexplained/badly written time jumps in the plot. It sort of undermines the enormity of what's happening in the story.

I understand why the series is called Riftwar now. I would prefer if the story moved slightly quicker. Quite a few interesting elements have been introduced, they seem important, but they still remain too mysterious to the point of becoming unimportant if more isn't said of them soon.

This is going to be a very light read. It's like reading commentary of a football match and I like it. I'd love to read more football related fiction.

Jamie wants to impress the scouts present at a school cup semi-final and get a chance to do try outs for professional football clubs. But he's being played out of position by the new coach.

God, I fell so far back in the reading challenge after a blistering start to the year. :/ I knew I was never going to keep up the pace, but now I'm 18 books behind.

56 books in 70 days! I'm gonna try my best. What are some good 100-200 pages short reads that you have read? I will read a few short books every now and then.

“Well, ladies and gentlemen,” Harry said, “for the first time in human history, you are on-line with an alien. What do you want to ask it?"

Umm... ASL? 😂😂😂 Oh damn, the early years of chat rooms in Yahoo Messenger.

I can't ignore the fact that the crew made up of a biologist, a zoologist, an astrophysicist and a psychologist hardly protest when they are asked to go 1000ft deep into the ocean and stay there for a few days while investigating an unidentified flying object. It's just stupid. I hope they don't start acting stupid like the crew in the new Alien movies just so the story has thrilling moments and some action.

Wooooohh! Interesting!

Books starts off with:

Ten little soldier boys went out to dine;
One choked his little self and then there were Nine.
..
..
Two little soldier boys sitting in the sun;
One got frizzled up and then there was One.
One little soldier boy left all alone;
He went and hanged himself
And then there were None.
